The best thing about Dev was he pin points the small mistakes and explain in detail how to handle a situation on the road. All his instructions and guidance were on point when I appear for the actual test. I would highly recommend Dev as your driving instructor, if you wish to learn driving in hendon and near by areas.

Fantastic experience: I had put off learning to drive for as long as I can remember, but last year, my dad booked me in with Dev and the rest is history! I was extremely nervous to start learning but Dev put me at ease from the very first lesson. His teaching style is incredible; in every lesson, he gets you to practice all the components of the test and gives you lots of tips and tricks on how to get those manoeuvres ‘just right’. He also takes you on all the routes so you are familiar with whatever route you might get on test. His knowledge and expertise are genuinely invaluable. Fantastic experience: I passed my test! It was great driving with Dev. He definitely made our lessons more difficult than the test, so I was surprised when I passed so easily. I ride with him for about 15 lessons over a 3 month period and did 2 mock tests (which I failed) but he told me I was almost ready to take the test and so I took it and passed. Just make sure to memorise down those handy tips he gives on the roundabouts and parking ;).

Fantastic experience: I reached out to Dev after booking at Hendon Test Centre after failing my last test in Tottenham. The booking process was easy enough. I was able to phone him and get something in the calendar for the following weekend. As far as the actual driving lessons, he is a good guy but a relatively tough instructor that will pick up on all your minor faults and insist that you 'tidy them up'. If you don't get defensive about making mistakes you will be alright. Perhaps he should consider a rebranding to "Hending School of Motoring Excellence". Nevertheless it worked - I was able to pass my test and for that I'm very grateful. I'd highly recommend lessons with Dev if you're wanting to pass a test. He is a bit more expensive than some of the other lessons I've had, but in my experience totally worth it.

He puts you completely at ease behind the wheel, is thorough in his explanantions and provides you with great confidence, both for the test and in driving in general by letting you take as much control as possible instead of everything being micromanaged. At the same time, he's one of the nicest, friendliest people you can meet who will happily chat with you, which makes driving with him a seamless yet safe experience. If you need to change your lesson at short notice, he's more flexible than most and works his schedule around you where possible. With his guidance and patience, I passed my test first time at the Mill Hill Centre. I would wholly recommend him, no matter what your age and experience.

Fantastic experience: Passed my Practical Driving Test today in Hendon (17/04/2023). After 15 years of waiting! Thanks to Dev! I hadn´t touched a car for over 4 years and only had 8 hours worth of lessons with him. I am still in shock. I have had other Driving Instructors throughout the years whom I´ve spent 30 plus hours worth of lessons with and failed. For all those who read this, all you need to do is listen to Dev, listen to his feedback and do whatever he tells you. It baffles me that people would write a bad review for Dev. So many years of experience behind him. He is called a Driving ¨Instructor¨ for a reason. His job is to instruct you. I guess not all of us want to be instructed but would rather have our egos stroked. Despite passing I plan on doing more lessons with Dev. I even asked if I could do Pass Plus with him, but he told me I don´t need to and to save my money instead. So I am very disappointed at that reviewer who painted Dev to be some sort of extortioner. I highly recommend Dev and wish I had found him years ago.

Fantastic experience: Today marked my first-time pass of the practical automatic car driving test. Much appreciate Dev for his hard work and training! Unlike other instructors I know, who are not cautionary enough and give students too much confidence during training and before the exam, Dev guided me to follow high standard strictly but also with lots of patience. He kept me sufficiently altered before and during my exam, which became one of the key reasons that makes me pass. To me, he is a responsible coach so I support and recommend him as a driving instructor if you want to learn how to drive automatic car.

Fantastic experience: I needed to get my UK driving license and wanted to practice driving on the left. Following a bad experience with Drive Johnson's driving school I switched to Hendon School of Motoring - and never regretted it. Within 5 hours of practice over 3 weeks I was perfectly prepared for the test, and I cleared it on my first attempt. Most importantly, it was a pleasant experience - not everyday a 45 year old man needs driving lessons, but it was fun, relaxed and adjusted to what I needed. Most recommended!

As soon as I spoke to Dev over the phone I could feel a good vibe from him. It took me only 3 lessons with him and I was ready. Passes my test on the 1st attempt! I highly recommend him!

Negative experience: Very poor experience. Unprofessional instructor, I had 10 hours with Dev, in total 5 sessions. He was disrespectful, shouted and didn’t explain the rules of the road. I now have a new instructor who within the first session taught me more than Dev did in the lessons I had with him. Dev shouted at me, also constantly took calls and arranged his other lessons. Never stuck to arranged appointments and has a very tight schedule. Almost impossible to book. If you want an instructor who is invested in your learning, then do not book with this school. I just want everyone to know to save them time and money.

I had a previous instructor in a different location who was very rude and made me very nervous to drive on London roads (despite over two decades of driving experience in another country on the other side of the road!). Fantastic experience: I travelled from south west London to Hendon to do driving lesson with Dev because I booked my test in Hendon( this was due to the test backlog and there were no tests in my area). When I started I was really nervous but then with the help of Dev I became more confident. He taught me a lot about driving, roundabouts and great parking techniques which I struggled with. He was patient and kind. I passed my test at Hendon test center on Thursday. I am so happy!!!! A BIG Thank you Dev for being an AMAZING teacher!

I had no driving experience before taking lessons with Dev and he managed to coach me from zero to a first-attempt pass! Not only is Dev an experienced instructor, but he is also an extremely punctual and organised instructor who will make sure every lesson is useful and practical. He puts in immense effort to structure his lessons. Hearing from friends and family, not a lot of instructors actually take notes of their students' progress, but Dev insists on taking notes and remembers what maneuvers, routes, mistakes.. etc I need to work on. As a bonus, Dev is just a really nice and funny guy who you can have a genuine chat with. Overall, I've really enjoyed my lessons with Dev and I cannot recommend anyone better.

Fantastic experience: Dev is just amazing! He was always calm and patient through all my mistakes and gave several useful tips and suggestions. It was easy to schedule appointments. I could see that his technique differed somewhat with newer vs more experienced drivers and that's so important. He was able to identify my strengths and weaknesses very early on. Would recommend taking a mock test at least a few days before the test. He gave me feedback based on what I was doing wrong using the same format that will be used at the test. He covered the test routes well during our sessions such that driving on those roads became familiar. I learnt a lot in such a short time and passed on my first attempt! Fantastic experience: I have just passed my first attempt of driving test and I am very very happy and thankful to Dev!!! Dev has been very professional and patient while teaching me to drive. I had some driving experience 20 yrs ago but have lost confidence after so many years and I had to get the UK licence as mine weren’t valid. I first tried to have lessons with a local instructor in West London but he made me even more stressed and uncomfortable to drive. He said i needed at least 20 hours to be able to pass the test. I then switched to Dev in Hendon and from the first lesson I understood that he is a very good instructor! He made me feel more confident, he is very relaxed and a positive person! Fantastic experience: I have passed my driving test today in my first try due to excellent support and guidance given by Dev in very short period of time. Dev is a very professional and experience instructor most importantly he is a very patient individual. His calmness and techniques helped me a lot to pass my test.
