Fantastic experience: Formula Jon Driving School gave me such an amazing driving experience. Jon gave me Manual driving lessons in Epsom and it was great! He was very patient and took his time to get to know me and my driving style. There were times that he knew what I was doing without me saying anything! Would definitely recommend, I started out as such a nervous driver and he has given so much confidence. Couldn't ask for a better instructor

Fantastic experience: I passed my driving test today at Morden TC and this would not be possible without the excellent guidance from Jon (automatic instructor). I have changed three instructors before Jon and I definitely feel like Jon’s patience and mannerisms made all the difference. He really is one of the best instructors that I have come across. I am an anxious driver and Jon managed to calmly teach me all the skills that I needed to help me pass my test. I definitely feel like I am a better and most importantly safer driver thanks to Jon. Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Formula Jon to everyone. They were very flexible and patient with me which helped me to maintain a high standard of driving despite my anxiety. I passed after 6 months of bi weekly lessons (something I thought I’d never do) and this is all thanks to the confidence and experience of my instructor Jon K who after seeing my drive after coming from a different school understood what needed to be done.

Fantastic experience: Jon is really reliable. I learned from him when I knew nothing about driving. He was very patient and believed in my ability even when I didn’t believe in myself. The day before my driving test, he told me I could drive to the hospital, which enable me to trust myself. I passed my driving test on the first attempt with four minors, and I really appreciate how Jon taught me. The lessons were fun and relaxing.

Fantastic experience: I started off my driving journey with a different instructor who was pretty much useless and decided to switch to formula Jon, this was the best decision I could’ve made. Not only is Jon patient, when you do make the mistakes he knows how to make you laugh about it instead of putting you down. Honestly a very funny and genuine man and the best instructor you could ask for. Couldn’t recommend anyone better to teach you how to drive.

Negative experience: Jon is a horrible driving instructor. His car smells of cigarettes as he is a heavy smoker, he shouts aggressively when learners made small mistakes and he made inappropriate jokes to my 17 year old daughter about women. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Horrible driver and horrible person. AVOID!

Fantastic experience: I would like to give him 5 stars, even though I am not his student. My car was parked on the street and got scratched by another car while I was away. He intervened and spoke to the driver, who then left a note on my windshield. Thanks to him, I was able to get the repair payment from the driver.

Fantastic experience: Great manual driving lessons in Carshalton. When I started driving I was very unnatural, but Jon did a great job teaching me from the very beginning to passing first time. The 2 hour lessons were very useful in getting me to test standard aswell. Jon was also a very patient instructor who takes a lot of care in making sure his students are up to the required level when it comes to test day. 10/10 would recommend!

Fantastic experience: Having just passed my driving test with ZERO Driving Faults, I felt compelled to share my experience with Formula Jon Driving School in Sutton. I specifically chose manual driving lessons, and let me tell you, the clutch and I weren't exactly best friends in the beginning! But thanks to Jon, my fantastic instructor at Formula Jon, I conquered those nerves and changing gears. Jon made manual driving feel achievable. He explained everything clearly, from mastering hill starts to navigating tricky roundabouts. He was incredibly patient with my mistakes, always offering encouragement and support. We practiced on a variety of roads, from quiet Sutton streets to busier areas, which truly prepared me for the test and the realities of driving on my own.

Negative experience: Jon (manual) had anger issues and mood swings during the lessons related to his smoking habits during the lessons. I am sorry but I would not recommend.

Fantastic experience: If you are looking for a driving instructor - look no more and trust dozens of raving reviews you find here! When I started practicing driving about a year ago, I had this perception that all the driving instructors will give you more or less the same set of knowledge and skills, and it’s only up to you on how well/quickly you will develop your skills. Today, after 3 failed driving test attempts and changing 2 driving instructors, I realize how wrong this perception was. I was blessed to eventually discover Formula Jon school, and after a few lessons with Anil I have finally passed my driving test yesterday, with 0 faults! What made a difference for me: 1. Calm, honest but very respectful and polite feedback for my driving - helped me to calm down my nerves. 2. Very clear explanation of each road situation & maneuver I struggled with, methodical practicing until I felt comfortable with it and knew exactly what to do. 3. The car - it’s perfect for beginners like me: small, very smooth and forgiving, with amazing steering and even back cam - made reversing maneuvers bulletproof, which is exactly what you need to feel confident on your test! I would like to sincerely thank Anil and Jon for helping me to finally pass my test after so many months of struggle.

Fantastic experience: Thanks so much Jon for accomodating me for a last minute lesson and test, he went extra mile to check if any instructors are available in my area to fit me in the schedule on a short notice. Anil was my instructor . He kindly helped me out on his day off and he had been great even though I didn’t take previous lessons with him. Fantastic experience: I had 36 hours of driving lessons with Jon and he taught me to pass my driving test on my first attempt. Throughout my time learning, I was always stretched to reach my goal and become a confident driver on the road. Every lesson had clear objectives which required me to push myself, and I was always able to monitor my progress to target the specific areas I need to improve. As well as this, Jon was able to accommodate me with a fixed weekly slot, which showed Jon's commitment to making sure I was ready for my test.

Fantastic experience: In March I found myself needing to learn how to drive as quickly as possible as I was due to move to the USA in the summer to start my Masters degree. Driving is quite the essential skill over there so learning for me came with quite the urgency. After getting in touch with a few instructors Jon was the only school that could work on my timeframe plus the school was highly recommended. Jon sorted my practical test for an earlier date than the current 6 month wait time. After this, the day before I was due to test I found that the DVSA had moved my test date to after I was due to fly. Jon managed to sort a new test out, that I was able to take, within a couple of days which I’m really very grateful for. Any issues with anything, Jon has a no nonsense attitude with his business and will endeavor to fix any issue you may have. I learnt in an automatic with my instructor Anil who was the best I could’ve hoped for. He is super patient, kind and will make you feel confident on the road. Anil makes you aware of all the tricks and traps on the test routes for your area and will help you to perfect every mistake you might make. All in all I did 26 hours of lessons over four months, from April to July, and passed first time with three minor faults all in time for my trip to the US. Overall I can’t fault Jon or Anil they both helped me out a lot while no other school could do so and both exceeded my expectations. I’ve already recommended my sister to learn with this school as well as any other new driver. Huge thank you to Anil & Jon.

Fantastic experience: After 6 years of gap in driving, I have taken refresher lessons with Jon. He is cool at all times which made things easy and comfortable. Also, he is quite flexible with duration of class and class timings, doing an early start at 6:30am.

Fantastic experience: On the 19th August 2020 I had passed my driving test having be taught by Jon. Unfortunately, in October 2022 I had my license revoked. We make mistakes! Passed my theory test and got on the phone to Jon for some lessons to get test ready. After a telling off and three hour lessons I passed again on the 8th May. The demand is high at the moment but having being taught by Jon previously and knowing how good he is, I was willing to wait on his availability. I’d recommend Jon to absolutely anyone. Fantastic experience: First of all thank you so much Jon! Enjoyed every minute of learning to drive in your lessons, even when I’d make a mistake you would talk me through it and reassure me. Going to miss our lessons and weekly catch ups , can’t recommend your driving school enough!!

Fantastic experience: Jon could teach a dog how to drive. Having had three not so good instructors prior to Jon, with only 4 weeks of 1x2 hour sessions a week, Jon magically turned my license from green to pink - a feat dumbledore would have been proud of. 100/10. Strongly recommend!

Fantastic experience: When I first started with Jon I wasn’t confident at all I was always stalling and struggled a lot when I was driving but he was very good at teaching me and helping me fix the things I was doing wrong. He was easy to get along with and made lessons enjoyable. He would help me in correcting what I did wrong and then making sure I wouldn’t do it again. He helped me calm my nerves when it came to test day and I passed first time

Fantastic experience: I have dealt with a lot of anxiety generally and driving was no different. Jon has not only made me a very confident driver, but also his lessons and guidance transfer outside of driving. He gives you so much confidence in your ability and goes through every single thing you could possibly do on your test day. Jon will make you laugh and keeps you calm during every scenario. He is also an expert at drawing diagrams to help in any situation you are struggling with. I don't think there is anyone better and I'm willing to bet money on that.

Fantastic experience: I can’t thank Jon enough for how amazing he has been as an instructor. As someone who often struggles with anxiety, Jon was the perfect person to ease my nerves. He always remains calm, will make you laugh throughout your lesson, and explains everything in a clear and understandable way. I asked him a million and one questions throughout my learning and he was always there to listen and answer them for me. I can’t recommend him enough. Today I passed, first time! Thank you Jon.
