The instructor, Everton enhances the experience by engaging in conversations and playing the radio (ever so quietly), which helps prepare for driving long after you pass as you have to heighten concentration and keep you alert while driving. Everton’s calm, patient and soft-spoken demeanour creates a relaxed learning environment. Although the preparation leading up to the test can be intense, it ultimately equips you for success. I passed my driving test with only two minors, which speaks volumes about the effectiveness of Smart Choice Driving. One of the standout aspects of the instruction is the memorable sayings that stick with you for life, such as “new road, new mirrors.” This phrase, in particular, will resonate with me long after my lessons are over.

Having spent hundreds of pounds on driving lessons over the past few years with two different instructors and still failing to see results, I managed to pass my practical driving test today with only one minor fault due Everton's amazing teaching. He is patient, kind and an expert at analysing your strengths and weakness to ensure that lessons are tailored towards improving your weaknesses. His way of teaching instils you with confidence and you leave every lesson feeling much more confident as a driver than the previous one.

Fantastic experience: Everton came recommended through 5/6 friends and they honestly didn't talk him up enough! I came pretty ambitiously aiming to pass in around 3 months and it felt like a breeze doing just that. A great way of teaching where you learn every minor detail, yet without feeling like it is too much. Allowing you to find your own rythmn naturally. Always felt confident, even when making a mistakes there was a clear pathway to fix them. Highly reccomend to anybody!

Everton was so kind to squeeze me into his busy schedule just a month before my driving test. Fantastic experience: I had two instructors before coming over to Smart Choice, and felt like I hadn’t made much progress, spending unnecessary amounts of money and feeling like I was going nowhere. I then came across smart choice and met Everton, who by far, is the most encouraging, selfless, supportive, funny and down to earth instructor I have EVER come across. It was like a breath of fresh air. He has a way of teaching that makes you feel relaxed but also keeps you focused and progressive in each and every lesson. Fantastic experience: Remember my time learning to drive with Everton as my instructor, I recommend him as he will try to help you fix as many flaws in your driving as possible that you might not even notice until the exam. When starting, Everton got me straight into driving at a good pace, the first lesson isn't entirely wasted on remembering different car components and jargon etc. unlike how some other instructors can be. He will remind you of any bad habits, so that you might eventually fix it permanently; as an example, I now fully engage the handbrake and check mirrors before making a turn etc. Hidden flaws like this may come up during the test. Even the subtle ones which occur now and then, such as not reading ahead of the traffic to see incoming hazards, helps to eliminate any spur of the moment mistakes you might encounter, which Everton is really good at spotting.

Fantastic experience: Went with Everton after my wife passed with him. Found him to be friendly, calm, methodical and logical. All the lessons flew by and the experience was really enjoyable. Everton really puts you at ease, with his relaxed style of teaching. You don’t feel tense or on edge when you learn to drive with him and his simple methods to learn key manoeuvres are brilliant. Instructors are extremely busy due to covid, I contacted Everton at very last minutes and explained my situation, he was really helpful and kind to fit me into his schedule really quickly even though he was so fully booked! I am so lucky to have Everton as my instructor as I believe I don't only learn driving skill from him but most importantly he gave me such a solid knowledge of attitude and road manners, which is more than helpful to just pass a test but for the future driving. I had failed my test 3 times when I was younger and almost given up, but he was so patient and encouraging, and such a good instructor, that I passed with no minors! Am so grateful to him! Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Everton highly enough. He is the third driving instructor I have used and by far the best. I was a nervous driver before I met Everton but with his support I have grown my confidence in driving a lot over my lessons with him and passed first time. Fantastic experience: The best driver instructors ever, I have had driving instructors in the past I have made me feel really uncomfortable i’m very nervous while driving. I was suggested by my partner to go to Everton who is an absolute amazing driving instructor he makes me feel calm and collected he also makes me feel amazingly comfortable . He is patient and so well spoken doesn’t make me feel nervous at all I also passed my theory first time with only two wrong questions and I also passed my driving test first time. Fantastic experience: Everton is the BEST instructor. From day 1 he made me feel at ease in the drivers seat. I was learning with him on and off for 4 years and every time I was ready to come back to it, he always made time for me in his diary.
