Fantastic experience: I just want to write a review of the brilliant refresher day/tests for my A2-A license upgrade. It was a few years since I was on the saddle, so I was a little nervous to get back on. and especially do the Mod 1/2 after just one refresher day. But Chris at the Bath site was really great, and it all felt like just going for a ride with a mate. For me, it worked out as having a 1-on-1 training session the full day, which was great for me. We did about 3 hours of mod 1 training and 3 hours on the road for mod 2 training. I passed my mod 1 with no faults. Then I went to the Bristol site of Phoenix motorcycle training. I was with Will, who helped with a bit more Mod 2 training before the test. I passed my Mod 2 and could not be happier. I want to thank everyone at Phoenix Motorcycle Training for helping me get my full license. I think the pricing was great, and for me, the 1-on-1 training was what I needed to get back to it.

Fantastic experience: I had such an amazing experience at the training centre in Bristol! I brought my personal gloves but every other gear was provided to me. I had zero experience riding a manual and ended up riding it fairly confidently at the end of the day in the road. The instructor was fun and helped out a lot by comforting me by allowing mistakes to occur on the road and not panicking. I’ll come back again for further motorcycle training!

Fantastic experience: I started with a taster session 12 months ago. Since then, I've completed my CBT, 2 day Mod 1 and 2 day Mod 2, all with Phoenix. I can honestly say it was a great experience. The Bristol team are fun, freindly and welcoming. They put you at ease and build your confidence, through clear, well executed training. There's a strong sense of belonging, you feel your in it together. Everyone is supportive, including the often forgotten, booking team. I tuned 60 last year and started to regret not taking the test, as a teenager. I'm now really glad I didn't. I might have got full licence a bit late, but I'm a better rider. Thanks to the guys at Phoenix, I feel confident, capable and safe. I'd like to say a huge thank you to Shaun and Will, for all their support and encouragement. I've ordered the Kawasaki Z650RS, I so desperately wanted and hope to see you out on the road.

Fantastic experience: A good instructor gets results! Having learned from five instructors on my journey to becoming a fully licensed rider, I can say with confidence that finding a decent instructor is both rare and pays dividends. I tried Phoenix Motorcycle Training because I wasn’t satisfied with the company I first went to for my CBT. Phoenix came highly recommended with 224 reviews on Google. Unlike Phoenix, the first instructors I acquired my CBT with thought it useful to use dumbed-down tactics to teach the basic manoeuvres. Using crass humour while learning something that is high risk was not my cup of tea. The second instructor they had was better but would be moving to another country, so I decided to try elsewhere. The first Phoenix instructor I met was Will. He was calm, informative, and generally gave good tips (provided they weren’t directions at a certain roundabout…). The second instructor I met was Sean. It was the morning of my third attempt at mod 1. I want to put some context here: that morning, my two-day-old brand new motorbike had an engine failure, my car had a flat tire and barely any fuel, and I had woken up at 5 am to try and wake my mind up enough to pass this time. I barely made it to the training centre on time. This morning could have been a disaster. Highly stressed and determined to pursue my license despite being the only biker I knew at the time… I had made it to the car park and was practicing my figure of eights with little success. It was at this point when Sean came over, asked me to stop my engine, gave me some advice, and let me carry on. This repeated each time I came to the next task, putting my foot down or losing my nerve. Despite being a very competent driver, riding was still well outside my comfort zone. I instantly picked up on Sean’s ability to read people’s riding errors, approach with support, stay calm, and get the best results from his students. Needless to say I passed, thanks to his observations and effortlessly calm demeanour. I then found out I would be doing mod 2 with him, which was a relief because no one else was able to pick up riding errors as easily as him. He understood the handling, the engine, he spotted mistakes early, being able to explain why something is important while also enjoying sharing his enthusiasm with his students. If you’re serious about riding, you know the devil is in the detail and you shouldn’t have to tolerate jokey behaviour. For these reasons, I can highly recommend Sean as an instructor especially if you want to actually learn how to ride! Date of experience: 02 September 2023

Fantastic experience: Did all of my training with pheonix including CBT and direct access course to full license. Highly recommend them, all instructors I had were of a very high quality: Emma, Chris, Sean, Will. Instructions are clear and identify and address any issues you have and work on them. Lessons came with all gear and good quality motorbikes.

Fantastic experience: My experience at Phoenix Training was fantastic. I had barely ridden a bike before and I was so nervous. Our instructor, Steve, was amazing and made sure I felt safe and completely understood my worries and fears of the bike. After the two hours ride our where we took the most lovely scenic route up to the Clifton Downs, I felt fully confident in my riding ability and it was totally thanks to Steve. I can't wait to start riding my own bike soon. Thank you so much Phoenix Training, I will see you again in two years to renew!

Fantastic experience: I just completed my A2 upgrade to Full. Luck of the draw I was placed with Sean the instructor. From the off Sean was very friendly, super relaxed environment & a fantastic coach. We did a lot of the textbook stuff throughout the day to keep my 7 years of A2 bad habits to a minimum. As soon as Sean thought I was 100% on 1 thing he would move on to the next, maximising your time to perfect all your riding aspects. I did the 1 day refresher & back to back tests the next day (he who dares!!). Sean did a few mocks with me as well as lots of fun inbetween. He has a fantastic way of making the day feel like your enjoying it rather than stressing about all the things that come with learning something new or a test. Always asked me lots of the rider/bike inspection questions as the day went on as I told him I’m crap at remembering stuff so that was also a clever way to keep things on my mind. After the refresher day, on the day of the test Sean rode me over to the test centre but sadly had to go straight off. Would’ve loved to have shook his hand and said thanks for assisting me to achieve 2 perfect test results back to back that morning. Sean if your reading this Thankyou mate, fantastic at what you do, should’ve took your number for a ride in the future! Hopefully see you at a bike night somewhere Thanks pheonix team. Fantastic experience: Steve and Charlotte were absolutely lovely and were very quick to squash any bad habits quickly that I picked up over my two years of riding. I now feel like a much safer rider than I did before and can enjoy riding to the fullest.

Fantastic experience: I recently completed my motorcycle training at Phoenix Motorcycle Training Bristol, and I can’t recommend them enough! The experience was fantastic from start to finish. First off, my instructors are amazing—Sean, Chris(Bath), and Will are not only incredibly knowledgeable about motorcycles, but they also make the training fun and engaging. Their passion for riding really shows, and it was great to have conversations with them about all things motorcycle-related. They truly know their stuff. The bikes provided were top-notch—new, well-maintained, and a pleasure to ride. Special thanks to Will for getting my fav CB650 from Bath and get it ready for my Mod 2. The training itself was excellent, especially in preparing for the Module 1 and Module 2 tests. They made sure I am well-prepared and confident, covering everything I needed to know in a clear and thorough manner. Additionally, all the essential gear was available for use, which was a huge convenience. Whether you needed a helmet, gloves, or anything else, they had it all ready to go. My own helmet was very snug to accommodate the radio, so I borrowed one from them. Overall, Phoenix exceeded my expectations. Sean, Chris, and Will were a joy to train with, and I’m grateful for the knowledge and skills I gained during my time there. If you’re looking to get your motorcycle license, this is definitely the place to do it!

Fantastic experience: Instructors have all been very friendly and attentive. I’ve not failed a CBT yet and have passed first time on both occasions I have taken it. Guys are very knowledgable, although the spare kit could be washed a bit more as they smelt a bit. Thankfully I have my own :)

Fantastic experience: I had my second CBT with Phoenix on the 6th Feb and I would happily go back again to complete my full bike licence. Sean and Emma were both lovely instructors, took the time to explain everything in detail, did demonstrations and always asked if we had any questions after explaining something. The staff we lovely and easy to chat to, the conversation was always flowing. The 2 hour ride was pleasant as well, directions were clear, and repeated twice to make sure we understood. The mph was also repeated if we turnt onto a new road. Sean was very patient with us and let us take things at our own pace. Thank you to the phoenix team, and thank you to Sean and Emma for making me feel at ease (If I could give 10 stars I would!)

Fantastic experience: Brilliant instructor E and a great day. Really well explained and thorough with feedback. I thought I was perfect and didn't have any problems with my riding but from the instruction and practice I was shown that 1. I was about as gentle as a dog eating a steak 2. That I don't know it all. They let you take loads of cigarette breaks as well. Great team and day, I look forward to seeing them again soon.

Fantastic experience: After trying other companies more local to me, I finally chose Phoenix as they are dedicated to assisting new riders with physical restrictions and mental health issues. I have both and the team not only supported me through encouragement but they even adjusted a bike to allow me to ride it. Something no other company were willing to even consider. It's a fact that all of this comes at a price but the Phoenix Bristol team were outstanding. Will, Sean and Emma were patient and supportive throughout the process from CBT to passing my MOD2 and I simply cannot recommend them highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I did my CBT at Clifton Rugby Club yesterday. I believe my instructor was Sean. He was friendly, polite and professional. I had a lot of fun and would thoroughly recommend Phoenix Motorcycle Training. One thing I think was really good was that Sean didn't hold back on informing us the dangers of using a motorcycle so I really do believe safety was their main priority. Several times throughout the day we were offered to ask questions and the course was well paced. Even though it was a full day it went really quickly! Phoenix Motorcycle Training also seem great because the train their staff with mental health first aid. I'll definitely come back here when I need to do my full motorcycle licence.

Fantastic experience: Great CBT experience. There were two Instructors and three trainees of varying age (25 to 53). The Instructors modified their training technique to suit each rider and level of experience, were very knowledgeable, and had a passion for bikes and riding. It was a full day training, start at 8am and finished at around 4.45pm, with a 2-2.5 hour road ride at the end. I felt I was safe all day and even on the road ride we were connected via Bluetooth headset and I never felt uneasy or unsure of where to go or what to do. I would like to thank Emma and Will for their patience and I would highly recommend. I will be going back within the next 2 years to obtain my full licence.

Fantastic experience: Overall, it was a fun day and I feel confident enough to continue with ongoing training for my full license. The day covered all basics. Road awareness & hazards, clothing, legal requirements, basic bike maintenance and of course getting on the bike and learning basic manoeuvres in the safety of the car park before finally getting out on the road for a couple hours to put into practise what had been learnt. Fantastic experience: I completed my CBT in January 23 and was very happy. Will and Shaun the instructors were brilliant. I booked my mod1 and mod2 straight after. This last week (April 23) I completed mod 1 training/test and then a couple of days later mod2 training/test. Passing both successfully. Will took the training days for both mod1 and mod2 and I couldn't have asked for a better instructor, he taught me how to ride safely and confidently not just how to pass the tests. Spending time on areas that towasn’t 100% on and giving advice and tips on how to improve. Simon took me to both mod 1 and 2 tests and the advice he gave was really helpful with riding and the nerves of test day. I have been telling myself for 15+ years to do my bike licence and have been to a number of different riding schools over the years but Phoenix Bristol have been the best by far. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is wanting to do their CBT or full Licence.

Fantastic experience: I have just finished my training for a full motorcycle licence at Phoenix. I passed both my module 1 and module 2 test in first go. I did my CBT and my training for the module 1 in Bath and the training for module 2 in Bristol. Both centres are great. The instructors are friendly and very competent. They have all the stuff you need, protective gear and great bikes. I drove a new Kawasaki z650 and that's a real fun and pleasurable ride. All in all, I highly recommend Phoenix Motorcycle Training. The administration is also super friendly when you call them up, and they happily and kindly answers all your questions.

Fantastic experience: The training given throughout was excellent right from the cbt to mod 2. Will was brilliant taught me not only how to ride safely but also how to pass the tests. Their bikes and clothing are all good and there is plenty of sizes to suit all. Would highly reccomend phoenix.

Fantastic experience: Sean was a really great instructor, I felt completely at ease out on the road with him and he pulled me up on any critiques without making me less confident. I hope to go back to do a little more training after passing my initial CBT.

Fantastic experience: I have done my CBT, CBT plus, Mod1 and Mod2 for full A license with Phoenix at Bristol. I have passed all at first attempt thanks to the great teaching method of the tutors there. Facilities for Mod1 training are great getting very close to the real ones, allowing to train and prepare for the DVLA one. Motorcycles are in good working order both 125 cc and 660 for mod1 and mod2. Tutors are from different backgrounds and expertise levels which allows the student to learn different riding styles. In general the tutors are very friendly and they really care about you passing and above all that you learn to ride defensively having safety always in mind but never missing the fun of riding a bike! Thanks Twiggy for great and thorough mod1 and mod2 trainings! and Will CBT plus training session!

Fantastic experience: I did my CBT with Phoenix yesterday at Clifton Rugby Club. The two instructors were excellent, the course was well paced with really good advice, encouragement & structure. You are there to learn & be safe on the road. This is not a turn up & pass course, you have to put in as well & this is where the instructors totally excel. I couldn’t recommend them more. Plus it’s really good fun and the day flies passed. The bikes and equipment and extra advice are all 10/10. Thanks guys ️
