Fantastic experience: My son had only one 2 hour lesson with Gautam. We are not local, from Hertfordshire and Leicester was the closest place we could get a test. We engaged Gautam to tutor Jack the day before the test and he was amazing. Calm, professional and gave Jack lots of help in the areas he needed specifically and useful tips which helped a lot with bay parking and roundabouts. So pleased we used his service and would 100% recommend him.

Fantastic experience: I have had driving lessons in a different country before, and when I started with Gautam here recently, I noticed massive (positive) differences right from the first lesson. He’s an ideal driving instructor in so many ways, but mainly the fact that he never makes you nervous while driving, especially when you make mistakes, in fact, he does the opposite, he calms you down, and patiently explains to you why that was wrong, and how to correct it. He’s extremely supportive, has a very systematic approach to his lessons, and is very honest about everything he says. He knows when you are ready to take a test, and when he thinks you are, you definitely are, even if you don’t think so yourself. He will reduce your test day nerves at least by half (which is huge), and when you do pass your test, he’s twice as happy as you are! I’d recommend Gautam even to people who are not from Leicester, definitely worth it!

I had been driving in India for around 10 years, however, whenever I came across new unfamiliar roads in the UK, I felt very nervous and would make mistakes because I was not confident in driving on unfamiliar roads. Gautam consistently went above and beyond by trying to understand why exactly was I nervous, and helped me become more confident than I was the previous time during each progressive lesson. I had contacted Gautam regarding Driving License even before I had a Provisional Driving License. He explained the entire process (inclluding applying for the Provisional License and preparing for the Theory Test) even though I was not registered at his institution. Started with my lessons after I passed my Theory Test. During the course we practiced everything that is required to drive safely in the UK(focus was more on becoming a good driver and not just passing the practical driving test). Fantastic experience: Wanted to get my license as soon as possible and these guys helped so much. After nearly two years of not driving, Sheilpa got me driving just ten hours with plenty of help of focusing on to the things I need to do to pass my test. Fantastic experience: I opted for the automatic lessons so that's what my review will be about. I thoroughly enjoyed my learning with the instructor Mr. Gautam. My partner and I both passed our tests in the first attempt learning from him. Specifics: ⌚ Timing: The class for the week are planned over the previous weekend and then adhered to the precise time. The instructor always arrived on time for the lesson at my place of choice. Once an exam slot is booked, he attempts to find a time which is as close to the test time and day, for a test day experience. ‍ Teaching: is superb. I have heard reviews of other instructors and Gautam's style is sufficiently different from other instructors. I felt my pace of learning was just right. The progress was well suited to my learning pace. We spent more time on the basics because I had to undo my Indian style of driving first. Especially around roundabouts. Progress: Once I was comfortable with the instructor's instructions, we progressed to satnav (independent) driving. Any corrections to the satnav route were informed well in advance. And what would you know, the examiner on the test day made corrections in the test route in just the same way. Handout: Pork Pie roundabout can be tricky, but it became simplified after the instructor handed me a leaflet where he showed me lane markings for the roundabout and how to best navigate it. Exam Day: The Instructor arrived an hour early to do the pretest lesson and took me through a few practice routes to sharpen the mind for the test soon after. That lesson helped a lot. Test Result: Finally, I'm glad to say, I passed in first attempt with 1 minor which only happened once in the test. ⌛ Time taken: Total hours of lessons I took was 25hrs. I was declared test ready by my instructor after 21 hours. We just did 2 more lessons till the exam date came so that my mind would stay fresh with driving. Cost: Bulk (multi hour) packages are cheaper. Driving Innovation have a website where you can see the pricing. If you like the class after 1-2 lessons, ask to buy the hours you think you'll need. 20hrs seems to be decent number. Once again, thank you to the instructor for honing his own teaching skills to the point where learners don't have to worry at all about looking for anyone else to learn from. And as my driving examiner on test day told me after I passed, I'll say the same for Mr. Gautam, "It was a pleasure driving with him. I enjoyed the drive".

Fantastic experience: They say you will always remember your greatest teachers, and this is certainly the case with Gautam and Driving Innovation. From the outset, Gautam created a plan with specific aspects to cover in my driving. As we did more lessons, he tailored my sessions to support my progress. His lessons are very details and organised. He makes use of mnemonics, images, diagrams, notes/instructions, and active reflection. I am a visual learner and so I found these especially helpful. Gautam is very patient and I always felt comfortable during the lessons. He makes use of constructive feedback to support and engage your learning. This is the most effective educational method, and I valued this a lot. I was always in full knowledge that he would support me and my development as a driver. Fantastic experience: I remember my first day driving with Gautam, I didn't believe I would be driving already so quickly. However, Gautam made me so confident that I ended up liking my first day of driving more than I thought I would. Fantastic experience: I booked my lessons with Gautam from Driving Innovation and I couldn't recommend the company, nor individual, any higher. I'm 32 and a neurodivergent person with numerous health issues, being able to driving now had become essential due to my heavily failing health. Due to my anxieties from my neurodivergence, the decline in my physical health and being a little older for a beginner learner, I was beyond incredibly nervous about learning to drive- Gautam put me at ease immediately. This was nothing to do with what he said, his presence alone is incredibly relaxing. He was patient and answered every question, regardless of whether it was the first or forty-second time it was asked. While I was fortunate not to make serious errors during my lessons, I had made numerous careless errors- while this could of provoked a negative reaction from the instructor, Gautam navigated this in such a gracious manner. His passion for teaching people the skills they need for further independence, his dedication to ensuring that is done safely as well his patience, kindness and compassssion just scream from him. I'm so grateful for the vat of knowledge he has provided and the skills he taught me that extend beyond driving a vehicle. Fantastic experience: Wow I don’t even know where and how to start!!! I’m not very good at writing review but I’ll give it a try! I have PASSED my test yesterday with 3 minors on FIRST ATTEMPT!! Mind you, I have never driven in my life nor on UK roads ever!!! I have stumbled across Driving Innovation’s website while I was looking for a driving instructor. I was a little skeptical at first as I wasn’t sure if the reviews are genuine. So I’ve literally read each and every review about Gautam after reading all the positive reviews, I saw a review of a friends friend from HKG who recommended Gautam too from that minute on I knew I had to go for Gautam. I can vouch for all the reviews, they are all genuine because I’ve had the same positive experience with Gautam. I picked up the phone called Gautam for an enquiry and that’s how it all started! I even had friends telling me I’m crazy to wait so long for an instructor as he was away on holiday and had no dates available but I still insisted in waiting a month for him and I’m so so glad and thankful that I did. Luckily he was able to fit me into his busy schedule. I love how Gautam is emotionally engaged and connected to his candidate and his teaching style wasn’t robotic at all. He is a patient, caring, calm and understanding instructor. Gautam can be strict when he needs to so that you make a progress and he has a good sense of humor too which put me at ease when driving specially when I have so much anxiety behind the wheel. Gautam will tailor lessons to your needs and learning ability. He has never wasted a single minute during my lessons by stopping on the road for lectures. It was money well spent on learning a new skill with a wonderful instructor. Gautam is not only an instructor he’s also a mentor and a life coach to me. There was always constructive criticism and feedback during and after the lesson. If you’re like me and can’t talk when you drive then feel free to ask Gautam to stop somewhere and he’ll happily explain you anything you don’t understand. Gautam knew I was unemployed and needed to pass the test to be able to start my new life in UK but never once did he compromise on test readiness or standards. He made sure I was up to test standard before sending me to test and informed me immediately when he felt I was test ready. He has made sure I corrected all my mistakes from the tiniest ones to biggest ones you name it…anything from making turns, steering control to junction observation to mirror check to roundabouts or parking before I went for my test! He had no problem in repeating instructions again and again when I myself was fed up and ashamed of asking so many times. Before and on the day of test Gautam will make sure that the driving lesson covers all your weak areas and he will ensure you are happy with it too! He has gone above and beyond many times by allowing the lesson to overrun. Don’t worry he is very punctual in general and if he’s late for next lesson for any reason be it traffic jam etc he will message you and let you know in advance! Very very professional! I remember I wanted to give up on the 2nd or 3rd lesson already but Gautam didn’t let me give up and encouraged me to continue on. I used to dread the pork pie roundabout but with Gautam’s help I nailed it confidently on the exam! Gautam is so passionate about his job he really does celebrate your success louder than you genuinely!!!!! I truly appreciate Gautam as he has got to have one of the most difficult job in the world!!! Fantastic experience: I still can't believe i passed my practical test! I am so happy and grateful for my instructor Gautam, i honestly couldn't have done it without him. I had previously failed my first practical test last year and could not get another test booked in nor did i feel confident in driving at that point. I messaged Gautam after a recommendation by a friend and managed to get lessons in February this year, with my theory test due to expire in June i was nervous and worried and honestly felt like giving up all together. Gautam managed to work around my schedule and helped me to get a practical test booked in for May so a month before my theory was due to expire. I felt comfortable and relaxed from my first lesson with him as he is easy to talk to and provided great knowledge. My lessons were all very well planned and he simplified a lot of the practical for me as i overthought everything. He doesn't just teach you how to drive but how to be a safe driver on the road. I have gained so much more confidence in myself and learnt so much in such a short space of time, i wish i had heard of this company sooner. Fantastic experience: Gautam is very dedicated to train you to become safe on the road. He was highly recommended to me by my wife who took the exam a few months ago. Thankfully with his guidance, I was able to pass my exam in my first take. For someone who used to drive on the left side for more than a decade, he is remarkably fantastic in guiding me to safely drive on the right side. I highly recommend him as a driving instructor.

Fantastic experience: I have had lessons with 2 other instructors before gautam and i wish i had met him first,because it would’ve saved my time ,money and precious mental peace. He is very calm ,friendly ,professional yet very flexible and honestly i can add on and on. With Gautam i drove the whole 2 hours while he corrected my mistakes by explaining on the drive and repeating the same road again until i corrected it. There were so many time he has gone over these 2 hours because i needed more help with some particular road. Now this is a major difference with some others while they will stop you after each mistake,give a lecture/reflection points and the lessons will be half and half (half lectures/half driving )-which was giving me major headaches before. But again if u can’t take information while driving ,gautam will stop and explain it to u. He has amazing pictures of difficult roads in Leicester ,which u can click on ur phone and go through at home. He makes all the manoeuvres super easy,my friend is driving for a year now and still struggles with parking . I ,while taking lessons instructed her using gautam’s method and she did it at the first go I really needed a Calm and Kind instructor because of my previous not so much fun experiences,and Gautam was literally the best between the bests. I looked forward to my lessons ,had chats ,laughs and fun while driving which took off a lot of pressure. He also does weekend lessons solely for people who can’t absolutely manage it on weekdays. In short i can’t recommend Gautam enough, and it’s not for his benefit-he is already famous with the learner’s community.
