Fantastic experience: Would like to highly recommend this driving school. I have been doing lessons with Pete and he has been a godsend. Any obstacles I had like nerves and uphill starts Pete helped me overcome it all. He made driving comfortable for me. When I first started I was so scared and nervous but Pete just chatted through it and encouraged me. Anything I needed help with he was there to get me through it. Will miss Pete a lot but thanks to him I’m on the road driving and I couldn’t of done it without him

Fantastic experience: This review is for my driving experience with Andy, as a nervous person I wasn't too sure that I wanted to do driving lessons at the age of 17, but i was lucky to take my lessons with Andy as he is very professional and patient which this eased off the pressure on the road and made driving much more enjoyable for me, I would 100% recommend Andy and the Birkenhead Driving School.

Fantastic experience: Great set of instructors, some may suit you more than others in terms of their style or ways of teaching, they are very reasonably priced and adaptable to your needs. I started with Lindsay who gave me a great foundation however due to health reasons I had to stop and then resumed lessons with Andrew later on in the year as he was available. Would recommend them both however Andrew does have a crippling Lego addiction so it is recommended that you offer this plastic goblin bricks as tokens of gratitude to placate him. Jokes aside both were patient with me and understanding given my specific needs and wouldn't have passed without them. 5/5

Fantastic experience: Can’t recommend Neil enough for first time drivers! So supportive and made sure I understood everything and was confident on the road. Helped me get a sooner test date once I was ready and offers lessons to work around me. Thank you sooo much Neil!

Fantastic experience: I had about six weeks worth of lessons with Andy before passing my test, after previously failing with another company. Any mistakes were quickly ironed out, while I was still very nervous on the test day I was much more comfortable and confident thanks to BDS and Andy. Took into account my experience as a motorcycle rider and used that to help me transition to a drivers licence. Honestly wouldn’t have gotten there without him. Fantastic experience: Best driving instructor I’ve ever met he worked is magic after me failing 3 times because the other instructors told me what I wanted to here I’ve tried Christ Kelly etc but Neil is amazing tough is what I needed and now I’ve passed I would recommend him to anyone

Fantastic experience: I have been taking lessons now with Dave for a little while I have had 4 driving instructors before Dave and 3 failed tests and I can absolutely say and I don’t even feel bad about it not one of those have the same knowledge to what Dave has or if they did I have not felt although they taught me ( maybe my fault for gabbing but I should of been told maybe to chat less about stuff that is not driving related maybe ) I am one million percent confident that Dave has prepared me for my test and continues to do so which has gave me all the skills which I need! He is reliable and very good at what he does. THANK GOD I FOUND DAVE OR I WOULD NEVER PASS Point of the message is if you need to learn to drive get I 100percent recommend Dave!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Becky at Birkenhead Driving School who helped my 17-year-old twins pass their driving tests first time within a week of each other. Although each of my children had different learning requirements from their instructor, Becky was able to adjust her teaching style and provide the right instruction for each of them, and quickly struck up a good rapport with them - so much so, that the downside of the kids passing their tests is that they are disappointed that they won't be having the regular meet ups with Becky any more! Would highly recommend Becky to any parent looking for an excellent driving instructor - thank you from us all Becky.

Fantastic experience: My Driving Instructor was Steve, for me it wasn’t so much the driving skills as I was a bit of an older learner and I had been abroad for years driving mopeds so, I was familiar with roads. Unfortunately for me I had a bit of an issue with anxiety during the test. Steve got me through this; he isn’t just an instructor but a great life coach and he recognized the problem and we got through it together. I just passed today and I am absolutely euphoric, it is all down to Steve and his professionalism and his drive to get me passed! Thanks so much!

Fantastic experience: I am an experienced driver. Despite that there are little nuances to driving on British roads I had to brush up on. I had several lessons with Neil. He set out clear goals for us to achieve. He took his time to teach me proper technique and improve on my bad habits I picked up along the years. He used different methods to explain things including an amazing coloured picture book. I became significantly more confident as we progressed and passed the test on the first attempt. 100% recommend their services.

Fantastic experience: My son was fortunate enough to have Pete Lynn as a driving instructor we can’t speak highly enough of him. His tuition has been outstanding! He has a natural gift for teaching and has been so kind and accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble for him. He encouraged and instilled confidence in our son and also worked with him practicing for the theory test which resulted in our son passing his theory and practical test in just 7 weeks from his 17th birthday. Fantastic experience: Daren was a great driving instructor who prepared me very well for my test. I went into my first lesson not knowing anything about how to drive, however Daren was a great teacher and made me feel very confident and comfortable behind the wheel. I passed my test after 5 months.

Fantastic experience: Passed first time today after learning from Peter Lynn cannot recommend him enough he has a very calming presence in the car, was always very patient with mistakes and taught me more about driving than just passing the test. Peter also supported me with my theory during the lessons which helped massively. Fantastic experience: Neil was the best driving instructor I could have ever wished for. I have been through so many instructors and never clicked with any of them. I was such a nervous driver and when I'd flap, they would flap with me which didn't work. I then found Neil from Birkenhead driving school and he was so calm and collected, it was what I needed. We pushed through and My confidence grew and I passed, finally!.. with 0 minors! If I can do it anyone can believe me! And Birkenhead driving school are the way to do it. Fantastic experience: I was referred through my brother to Birkenhead Driving School and Peter Lynn as my instructor. The atmosphere with him was brilliant and I looked forward to every lesson. Fantastic experience: I had Daren as my driving instructor who was shared by my friend and helped me pass my drivers test within 44 days in a manual car.He was always patient and always reassured you even when your nervous due to mistakes.Daren would answer all my questions that I had asked him which was very beneficial. Fantastic experience: excellent lessons: manoeuvres were well explained with easy to follow instructions, and extra tips and tricks which were not required to pass the test but gave confidence and skill as a driver after I passed. I had Daren and his teaching allowed me to learn the mechanics of driving quickly, allowing me to focus on being safe and aware whilst on the road. He remained calm and collected which made me feel less stressed and was overall a nice guy. Definitely would recommend.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Peter Lynn back in April I then only took 2 months to pass all thanks to him. He was a great mentor and an even better teacher and I would highly recommend him. He was very easy to talk to and made the complicated form of driving easy for a new comer.

Fantastic experience: Darren was brilliant for refresher lessons before my test, I had lost confidence due to previous experiences, and Darren was very reassuring and knowledgeable. I passed after having a couple of lessons with Darren. Very appreciative of the help and support he provided me over a short amount of time. Strongly recommend

Fantastic experience: I just passed my manual driving test yesterday with instructor Pete Lynn. Pete was a great instructor throughout my lessons, testing me on theory questions and the practical test required questions too. On the driving side, Pete put complete faith in me and created a calm but fun environment to learn in with his light-hearted jokes and down-to-earth personality which kept me at ease all the way through the learning process. He was able to explain each manoeuvre clearly and coherently and provide useful feedback on how to improve with my driving. During my lessons we practiced many test routes for the Upton test centre which allowed me to tackle any scenarios that could come up in the test as well as gaining a decent knowledge of the roads which put me in good stead for the test. Pete and Birkenhead driving school we’re recommended to me by a friend and I wholeheartedly would recommend Pete and the school once again.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely over the moon i passed first time today with Neil! i struggled massively with manual and got sent to Neil who kindly fitted me in so fast. He was so patient and very calm as i was a nervous wreck the first few times back on the road due to bad experience. i enjoyed my lessons thoroughly and i highly recommend Neil if you want auto lessons.
