Fantastic experience: When I first came to DEC driving school and Khurshid (aka uncle ji!) I was an extremely nervous driver and lacked confidence that I could drive the car. Khurshid uncle was extremely helpful in helping me calm my nerves and make me believe I could drive the car well. Uncle ji specifically tailored my lessons to make me a better and safe driver. The lessons with uncle ji were packed with knowledge, wisdom and laughter. Khurshid uncle is a true master of his craft and the best instructor. After having setbacks with previous instructors, I was so glad to have found Khurshid uncle who truly wanted me to succeed and put in significant effort to help me pass. Uncle ji is not just an instructor, he is a friend for life! I would 100% recommend DEC driving school and Khurshid uncle. Thank you so much Uncle, this means a lot to me :)

Fantastic experience: Had a horror show with my first instructor. But the guys at DEC are amazing teachers, restored my faith in driving instructors and got me across the line yesterday with only two minors! Hands down the best east London driving instructors if not London, always on time, clean car, pick and drop off at your house. I never felt rushed, the instructor worked I still the confidence in my driving so that I was able to demonstrate I was a safe driver on the test (and not as nervous as my failed first). Highly recommended! I’d highly recommend going with Khurshid !!

Fantastic experience: Having just passed my test (on the first try) after taking lessons with multiple driving instructors, I can absolutely recommend Aftab of DEC as a driving instructor. If it weren't for him, I don't think I would have passed. He gives you confidence on the streets (even for someone like myself, that did not start out confident!), challenging you when you need it, while always remaining aware of your tendencies and mistakes, in order to teach you how to improve. He is up-to-date on the laws of the road and gives you all the tips you need for passing your test and driving safely in real life, but without barraging you with constant criticism. Really, it's the ideal learning-to-drive experience! He is also a polite and respectful teacher. A bonus is that his car is much more pleasant to drive than the cars of other instructors!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Aftab as a driving instructor. Just passed my (manual) driving test on the first try after working with my instructor Aftab for about six weeks. The lessons were highly enjoyable and very focused and effective on preparing one for the driving test. I think his car is very suitable for those learning to drive, especially due to its easy handling, and I appreciated Aftab's flexibility in being available on the weekends. He accommodated both several 2-hour sessions and one intense 6-hour session, which was incredibly helpful.

Khursheed was brilliant, his cool and calm nature helped me adapt quick combined with his years of experience aided me to efficiently pass with minimal hours. He knew from the get go exactly what i needed and got rid of bad habits i had picked up from elsewhere. Would definitely recommend DEC they are very professional. Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend DEC driving school enough. I was previously with another driving school & this was a complete waste of 20 hours & my money, infact I picked up on bad habits. I decided to move after recommendation from a friend. The entire booking process is very easy, I called up to enquire and was called back by an instructor within a few hours & this was a weekend. I then discussed with my instructor 'Khurshid' my driving goals & we were able to meet these within a short manner. It was clear to me Khurshid really loves his job & has a vast number of experience, from my first lesson. I was previously a very anxious driver & he built up my road confidence, hand changed my perspective after a few lessons. The way Khurshid teaches is what every learner needs, I have now happily passed & a confident driver, I skill I will always be thankful for. Fantastic experience: Khurshid and DEC driving school has been there for me all throughout my driving life and now my new career. I pass my original driving test first time over 35 years ago with Khurshid at DEC driving school and now that I have decided to change careers to become a driving instructor he has come to my aid once more. Khurshid at DEC driving school is an amazing driving instructor, the way he allows you to make mistakes and gently corrects you with his wealth of knowledge makes you feel very comfortable and supported. This in turn gives you the confidence to move forward and go ahead to pass any test you have signed up for. Fantastic experience: AFTAB - cannot recommend him enough. Apart from the fact that I passed, it was a truly enjoyable experience being in the car with him as an instructor and I’ll really miss his patience, guidance and sense of humour. I always looked forward to the lessons. I also like that he was excellent at getting me on the road quickly (I really lacked confidence) and also at helping me to stay calm and focused on the road with constant reassurance and attention. Fantastic experience: DEC driving school is the place where you need to be in order to get your driver’s licence. Sam was really patient and understanding with me. He built my confidence up, made the lessons fun and enjoyable. He believed in me when I found it difficult as I came from other driving schools. Thanks to Sam, I was able to pass my test with only 4 minors! If you choose DEC driving school, you’ve made the right choice.

Fantastic experience: I wouldn’t have my license without Aftab. I started with a different person which cost me a year of effort. Aftab’s calm style, supportive corrections, and patience made ALL the difference. His car drives beautifully and (shhhh) corrects occasional driver mistakes around clutch-control. Thank you Aftab!!!

Negative experience: I COULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DRIVING SCHOOL LESS! From the outset, I had issues with my instructor who overcharged me. Upon complaining about this, I was then moved to a different instructor who was completely unprofessional. My instructor would either have headphones in or play distracting podcasts throughout my lessons and would delay teaching me certain manoeuvres so that I had to pay for more lessons. The lack of care and support was astounding. I would often be taunted throughout my lessons, being asked why I did not appear to be happy in my lessons, whether I was depressed and ‘what mental difficulties’ I had that prevented me from driving properly. My instructor’s behaviour was completely unacceptable and when questioned about this, I was met with a lot of attitude. In the lead up to my test, my instructor often refused to take me to the area of my test and told me that ‘I should be happy that he is allowing me to drive at all’. On the morning of my test, my instructor messed around with timings which only fuelled test day nerves. I honestly believe that the other 5* reviews are fake as this driving school is unprofessional and only serves to make money at their student’s expense. I do not recommend at all.

Fantastic experience: Passed today first time! Thanks to Khurshid for providing me with lessons at a short notice. I currently hold an overseas license and haven’t driven in 4 years, but with Khurshid’s expertise I was able to achieve a pass with just 10 hours of lessons within one month based on my availability. I highly recommend lessons with Khurshid, his knowledge on driving is phenomenal plus he is a very calm and supportive instructor I wouldn’t have preferred to be taught by anyone else.

Fantastic experience: I learned to drive with Khurshid, taking intensive lessons, and was able to get the whole thing done in about two months - starting from zero experience behind the wheel to passing my test on first go. As an adult learner, I came to driving probably with more anxiety than most. Khurshid put me at ease and made me feel comfortable that (a) he would teach me, and (b) any errors I made during the learning process he would compensate for so that we stayed safe on the road. This helped me a lot to gain confidence and even look forward to doing my lessons. Khurshid has been a driving instructor for 30 years and has a wealth of experience. When we went for my test, he'd actually taught a few of the other instructors there at the centre back when they were learners!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Aftab (Dec) as an instructor. He always took the time to understand how I would learn best and catered his teaching style to help me progress. Aftab is a cool and calm person who makes you feel comfortable and at ease whilst driving and learning. He never raises his voice or shows any frustration or impatience. He will always calmly correct me each time there was a mistake made until I got the hang of it. I've now passed my test and I'm truly grateful for his support along the way.
