Fantastic experience: Steve makes me feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel and makes every driving lesson fun and educational I couldn’t recommend Steve and Surrey driving force more I am a few lessons in after being nervous to start but Steve has made me feel confident about driving and is super patient

Steve’s patient teaching developed her competence and confidence driving a manual vehicle whilst the test practice with Rob helped reinforce these under test conditions. Fantastic experience: Surrey Driving Force is honestly so amazing. My instructor Steve is so kind and patient with me and he always makes me laugh even when I'm a little scared behind the wheel. He has been so helpful with everything and im so happy i have him as an instructor. I started my lessons a complete novice, I had no idea how to clutch properly or change gears and now on my 4th driving lesson, I'm on main roads and feeling confident with myself. Fantastic experience: I had driving lessons with Jo who taught me how to drive an automatic. She is patient and always giving clear easy-to-follow instructions that make for a stress-free learning process. As well as making sure that I was up to test standard with my driving in general, we also practised all of the manoeuvres until I was comfortable with whichever one came up in my test. I felt 100% ready on the day of my test and was pleased to pass on my first attempt with only two minors. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Fantastic experience: Reliable with excellent instructors! (Sonny in particular!) I'd been putting off driving for years. I had some lessons 10 years ago and never got on with it, but I've been learning to drive with Sonny for a few months now and have my test booked – and he's been exactly the sort of instructor I hoped for way back then! He's patient, diligent, friendly, and observant. I've always felt safe behind the wheel with how he sees absolutely everything on the road, and he has a very attentive and reassuring teaching style. I'd had some persistent issues with nerves that he had picked up on and was tailoring the lessons for to help address without me realising, and he'll always centre your own goals and feelings too. I think a wide variety of learners would get on very well with him.

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Paul and Surrey Driving Force highly enough. Paul was amazing with my daughter, he always moved at her pace, really grew her confidence and skills with a calm and encouraging manner. He was really honest with us and reduced lessons as she became more competent. She passed within 3 months of her first lesson and I feel really comfortable with her driving.

Fantastic experience: Today I passed my driving test thanks to Sonny. English is not my first language and I require slow and repetitive instruction, despite this barrier Sonny has, he put his heart into the lessons and explained everything into details. During the lesson he was focused on the driving and never spent a minute talking through the phone or doing something else. Because of this devotion I was able to passed the test in the first attempt. So I do recommend new drivers to take lessons with Sonny.

He's a true professional, teaching "by the book" skills that will last a lifetime, even after I pass. Honestly, I always look forward to my lessons with Sonny. Even with some prior driving experience, he's helped me identify and correct bad habits, teaching me the right way. His approach is exactly what you'd want from a great instructor.

Fantastic experience: Kish is a great instructor, he was very understanding and supportive whilst I was learning how to drive. I have been having lessons with Kish for a couple of months now and I have just passed my driving test with zero minors! I highly recommend Surrey Driving Force!

Fantastic experience: I took my lessons with Sonny and left him with very little time to prepare me for the test. Sonny is an excellent instructor—he provides detailed lessons to improve my driving with great patience, especially since English isn’t my first language. He put in a lot of effort to help me, even getting up before 6 a.m. for some of our lessons. I’m lucky to have had him as my teacher. Thanks to Sonny, I passed my exam today. If any of my friends need driving lessons, Sonny will be my top recommendation.

Fantastic experience: Paul Harris is an absolute diamond. I came to him with a boatload of anxiety around driving and, no exaggeration, within one lesson, he put all my fears to rest and made me feel like a good driver! Incredibly nice bloke and a great instructor!

Fantastic experience: i have had 4 lessons with steve and i am already out on the main road, he is a great instructor whenever i make a mistake he explains it in more detail and then i find it easy to fix the mistake! 100% recommend and the price is reasonable.

Negative experience: Do NOT go with Sonny- he has scammed me out of my money been flakey and promised lessons to only cancel or say he too busy but will take your money and never get back to you. He asked me to write a review on my first lesson with him and at first I thought it went well but little did I know he would just be unreliable and waste months of time I should of spent driving? He now won’t pay back the money that was owed and has not contacted me since. I am so disappointed and disheartened because i am not one to write negatively about someone but after feeling so upset with my outcome I just wanted to make sure no one else experiences this. PLEASE be aware and choose your instructor wisely.

A huge thank you to Steve for recommending Sonny as an instructor for me, and most of all to Sonny for his brilliant driving and instruction! Sonny has been an outstanding teacher. Very client focused, very supportive and brilliant at teaching you through any mistakes. I asked Sonny to help me pass in under 4 months so I could drive to University, and today I succeeded in my goal. I cannot thank him enough. If you want to learn to drive automatic, in a safe and confident manner, I cannot recommend Sonny highly enough. Review in June 2024 Sonny has been a really outstanding teacher. I'm two lessons in and have made excellent progress so far. I really enjoy the lessons and love Sonny's flexible, and patient client centred approach. It has really suited my learning style, and I cannot wait to take my test. I've had past driving instructors in London who were impatient, and led to me not enjoying learning to drive. Sonny is a breath of fresh air, and I would recommend him to any student seeking to learn automatic. Thank you Sonny!

Fantastic experience: We managed to get a driving test slot for my wife in Chertsey for June 11th. I found Surrey Driving Force from Google, and contacted them one week before the driving test. I talked to Steve first, and explained him our situation. He helped us a lot. We arranged two lessons with Lloyd, and a mock test with Rob. Both were very kind, and absolute professionals. Their tips helped my wife a lot. Fortunately she passed the test in her first time without any minors. Thank you guys! I highly recommend them to anyone preparing for a driving test in the UK.

Negative experience: I started lessons with Steve in September 2023 and passed my second test in March 2024, with my first test being in January 2024. While I made significant progress in a short amount of time, and now feel a very confident driver, my journey with Surrey Driving Force was not the perfect driving experience I had imagined. My first lesson was a success, I finally felt hope at being able to drive, having found it difficult with my dad. I even did a parallel park. Although later on in my driving journey, Steve was not particularly patient when I had made mistakes. Although this could be his ‘tough love’ teaching strategy, personally I felt unsupported and anxious throughout my lessons with him. In one lesson, I didn’t turn left when asked as I couldn’t see the exit in a lesson at 8 o’clock when it was dark. Regardless of the dangerous situation that I caused, as a learner Steve felt it appropriate to proceed by shouting at me and then saying (i quote) ‘if you cry I’ll cry’. Eventually, I began to dread my lessons and felt I should just get it over with, with my test being so soon. Steve then said I was ready to take my test a month later. I did a few mock tests with Rob, who was so helpful and patient in contrast with my lessons with Steve. He had explained what I had done wrong, why it was wrong, and even drawn diagrams for me, where Steve had just shouted at me telling me I made a mistake. After failing my first test, I’d reached out to Steve who then failed to make any further contact when I could not make the first times he’d offered, and I then ended up contacting Rob for lessons. Having referred two friends to Surrey Driving Force, I am wholly disappointed with my experience. I would not further recommend this driving school to any of my friends. Thank you Rob for your un-ending patience and teaching me calmly.

Fantastic experience: Jo was a great driving instructor. She remained very calm and supportive whilst I was learning to drive, which has been really important to me. I felt at ease. I was able to book lessons with her that fit around my work schedule which I really appreciated. I would highly recommend Jo to anyone! Thank you again.

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of doing my lessons with Leon, and he was an excellent teacher. He helped me gain confidence in my own abilities and was so patient with me when I struggled with anxiety. I needed to pass my test first time before my theory test ran out, and Leon made sure I knew everything in detail to get me to pass! Would highly recommend him to other learners out there and thank you to Leon for all his help!
