Fantastic experience: The Direct Access training with Steve at Apex Motorcycle Academy was more than I could have hoped for. If you are ready to learn and willing to listen, Steve can guide you through the Direct Access course in a way that makes you feel so comfortable on the brilliant and safe 650cc training bikes. I am 44 and I only had one day of experience on a 125cc, doing my CBT (unfortunately not with Steve), prior to the Direct Access course with Apex Motorcycle Academy, but after just two days training with Steve I felt so informed and relaxed going in to the Mod 1 and Mod 2 tests (both on the same day) that it gave me every chance of passing.... and pass I did! Because the training was so comprehensive, I felt totally comfortable riding, my Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade, 200 miles home from where I bought it, the day after passing my tests! Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Steve. You really have facilitated a lifelong dream of mine!!!

Fantastic experience: I passed mod 1 and mod 2 first time with Steve. Couldn't have hoped for a better instructor, he's very calm and encouraging and the bikes he provides are great too. It was a very fun experience and although I was excited to have my license I was sad for it to be over! I don't believe there will be a better instructor out there

Fantastic experience: Completed my cbt with Steve today , I had no prior experience with a manual motorcycle. Steve took his time to explain and walk me through every detail that I needed to know . Very patient and polite through out, constant feed of information whilst on the road exercise and I was made to feel comfortable and relaxed. What a top bloke and great instructor. Fantastic experience: I did my CBT and direct access with Steve at Apex Motorcycle Academy with almost no previous experience on a bike. I suffered quite badly with nerves, especially for my MOD 1 test, but Steve really helped build my confidence and got me through both tests easily. A big factor for me training with Steve, was the fact that he's cheaper than anyone else in the area by a fair amount. Which certainly proves that the cheapest option isnt always the worst option. I can't think of 1 criticism. A really patient professional and friendly instructor, I highly recommend giving him a call.

Fantastic experience: I passed my test two years ago with Steve - a very patient and kind instructor, the school bikes are very kind to folk who are vertically challenged like myself! I definitely recommend Apex if you are looking to achieve your CBT and/or full license! Thanks to Steve and his patience I have got 8000 miles under my belt last season, Wales, IOM, Scotland, Ireland and Northen Ireland - this year I’ve done a track day at Anglesey and in a month I’m off to Spain & Portugal with my Ducati Monster ☀️️

Fantastic experience: Steve is a top bloke, very knowledgeable and easy to get on with. Did my DAS course with Steve, great pricing, training done on clean well maintained machines. He even bought us a bacon roll and a coffee every lunchtime which was a very kind gesture. Steve was very prompt with getting me a test date, no messing about or being put on a waiting list for cancellations. Will always recommend Apex motorcycle academy to others. Great service overall :)

Fantastic experience: I never visited the place, but I did phone the owner to ask about my bike. He was very professional and clear, telling me what my best course of action was even if it meant me going elsewhere. The fact that he put me and my issues first made all the difference. If I do need to go for a CBT repeat or something, you can bet this will be my destination.

Fantastic experience: First class instruction from an instructor that actually cares that you pass your test safely. Highly recommend this instructor. Started complete beginning Jan 9th and qualified fully march 17th, fault free on the mod 2 test. can’t thank Steve enough. Now riding a 750cc and loving every second i’m out on it!

Fantastic experience: Steve really has to be the best trainer out there. Not only did I pass my mod 1 & 2 first time with him, but he has the most patiences in the world to deal with me and my craziness! He explains everything so well and stays so calm throughout. Steve is so patient and easy going, he has been awesome dealing with all the questions before the cbt and was very patient, encouraging and clear during the cbt. The day seemed to fly and we progressed from nervy, wobbly novices to feeling confident enough to buy bikes and get out on our own to continue learning. Fantastic experience: Steve takes this process very seriously and ensures all customers get a high level of training. My own experience began from the CBT through to passing my Module 2 on the first go. His service is transparent and you will never be promised something you don't receive. Some sessions are shared but he will clarify this well in advance. The 1-to-1 sessions are fantastic and paced at your needs. His equipment is of a high standard with appropriate intercoms, jackets, gloves and helmets. The bikes available are meticulously cared for and you get the feeling of security from it all. I insisted on an additional day of practice prior to module 2 and Steve was reluctant to take my money as he felt I didn't need it. Fairness and morality are always a great sign. Value for money is certainly at the forefront of this service whilst also putting you at ease and getting you riding safely with confidence. I cannot recommend AMA enough and would gladly do the whole process again with Steve.

Fantastic experience: Couldn't recommend Apex Motorcycle Academy enough! Took the CBT test on Saturday with my instructor Steve. Friendly, safe and professional, put me at ease instantly. Having never ridden before, the day was enjoyable and interesting from start to finish - also the added bonus of a ride around anglesey in the sunshine :-)
