Kickstart Bike Training (Anglesey Kickstart)

Fantastic experience: I had a great time with our instructor Mick who taught myself and one other female student. He was engaging, patient, funny and used lots of positive reinforcement, helping me to build confidence and feel like I was progressing. Using in-ear microphones inside our helmets, we went over the basics and low speed manoeuvres in the morning at Trac Mon, then headed out around Anglesey on the bikes in the afternoon. Mick continuously gave us useful feedback to help us be safe and aware on the road. I plan to come back to Kickstart to complete my DAS/Big license, hopefully with Mick!

Fantastic experience: Kickstart training was great, Chris the trainer was knowledgeable and helpful throughout. The day flew by as he showed us basic moves and Bike road safety manoeuvres. The ride around Anglesey at the end was great with Chris giving clear and concise instructions throughout the run - I would definitely recommend this company and course .

Fantastic experience: Kickstart Motorcycle Training was amazing from start to finish and got me through my module 1 and 2 with ease. Sue trained me from my CBT all the way through to larger bikes, having not rode for 10+ years. Her direction and teaching style was spot on - everything was clear and she worked with you to iron out any bad habits and learn new skills as needed. The lessons she taught me on the bike and during our road work not only let me become a rider, but will also improve my car driving too I’m sure. The use of the space at the Anglesey Circuit (Track Môn) was unique and let you get a feel for the bikes at your own pace. We also had the entire day to practice on the actual Module 1 test ground in Bangor - so when I came to do my test I knew I’d already passed it many times on the same exact space in mock tests. I think this is a great resource. The bikes you learn on are also great, handle very well for beginners and they’re also great fun. Would recommend to anyone. Fantastic experience: I have completed my CBT, a crossover day and my Direct access with kickstart within the last 6 months. I cannot recommend them enough. I had never even sat on a motorcycle before my CBT, but with their excellent training programme and knowledge I have just passed my direct access first time around. No matter how many mistakes I made they were patient and I never felt under pressure or unsafe, They took time to teach me right. I imagine what this team don’t know about motorcycling isn’t worth knowing. The location is perfect whether it be on Trac Mon or riding with splendid views of Snowdonia mountain range. Fantastic experience: Chris provided the CBT training course I attended. I turned up quite apprehensive and anxious, having essentially never touched a motorbike before and not knowing what to expect. Chris works in a manner where he is to the point and very clear in his instructions but also very compassionate, patient and understanding. I was soon put at ease and consequently thoroughly enjoyed both the course and Chris’s teaching style. I would highly recommend this as a starting point to motorbiking and will be sure to keep in touch with Kickstart Bike Training as the provider for further courses as I progress towards my full motorbike license. Fantastic experience: I contacted kickstart following my daughter having done a CBT training day with another company from where she had a bad experience (that’s another review). Kickstart, from the moment of picking up the phone were friendly, professional and supportive. After explaining what had happened Neil got us booked in with Martin for the following week. The kickstart training centre is almost a two hour drive for us but upon arrival it was evident that they are a professional organisation. It’s a quiet location on the Anglesey race circuit with a marked out training area and comfortable classroom, lots of good quality equipment available for hire and also a for sale rail. My daughter spent her morning on the pad and in the classroom. Martin was an excellent instructor, ensuring that our daughter felt supported and understood at each step, she was very nervous following her first experience but he put her at ease quickly. Our daughter completed her CBT training day and left feeling confident and ready to ride. My husband spent the day shadow riding her the day after and felt very happy that she is ready to ride solo. Thank you to Neil, Martin and the team at Kickstart. ️

Fantastic experience: Did my CBT today and had the best day of motorbike fun, I was nervous at the beginning but calm and professional coaching really helped calm the nerves and let me enjoy the learning experience. Looking forward to going back to do my next bit of training. I'd recommend doing a CBT even if you don't want to ride a bike, it's a great days adventure

Fantastic experience: Such as great place to do your cbt, some places dont teach you the proper use of the roads with a small bike but these guys do, they teach you everything from your gear (helmet, jacket ect.) And your bike, then once on the roads theyll run you through how to take corners properly and safley, theyre well experienced bikers who have so much knowledge to give to new riders, i wasnt a new rider, been riding a few years but i still learned alot with these guys, definitely worth it.

Fantastic experience: Done my CBT with Chris today, brilliant person and instructor. Made the experience very enjoyable and informative. He took the time to explain everything well. Finished the day off with the mandatory 2hr ride, from start to finish was a great day. Chris is very down to earth and easy to have a laugh/joke with. Would recommend to anyone looking to do their cbt.

Fantastic experience: Having gone to AMT for my CBT two years ago, I had no hesitation in going back to them to do my Direct Access. I did an extra crossover day to familiarise myself with larger bikes, which was a huge benefit. Throughout the training our instructor Martin Plummer was excellent, very calm and professional - and it showed when both of us passed our Mod 1 and Mod 2 tests on the day. Thank you Kickstart AMT

Fantastic experience: Me and a brother of mine did our CBT's together with a gentleman by the name of Chris peel and I would recommend this man to anyone with low confidence on the road and low confidence on the bike. He gave us all the time we needed and did not push us to anything he was a complete professional in all aspects and a decorated war hero. I am truly honoured to be one of the lucky ones I feel so thank You again guys you will definitely be seeing me again in the future.
