Fantastic experience: What a great place!! Location is all you could want, as well as the facilities. As a total newbie, the instructors were reassuring and confidence inspiring whilst at the same time challenging me to come out of my comfort zone. I learned loads and I left feeling that I could now at least have a go at trail riding. I’ll be back for more ! Thanks to Steve, Gareth and Steph.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic!!! I'd give them 11/10, highly recommend. Wanted to brush up on my green leaning skills on my own bike but they also have bikes you can hire. The instructors are brilliant and have the patience of saints . The setting is beautiful and there is a cracking little snug for a brew. Cannot recommend Moto Junkies enough, give it a go

Fantastic experience: I did a one day ride out to regain confidence after a motorbike injury. There was a fun session at the start around the skills course, with feedback. Then a great day out , just over 50miles mostly on unpaved , with a great group. Regular discussions on improving technique and feedback , along with help adjusting a minor mechanical on my bike. Every one was buzzing with excitement after a great day out developing skills. Motojunkies must have had a word with the weather gods as wall to wall warm sunshine in March.

Fantastic experience: Just back from a weekend with Steph and the team at Moto Junkies. Had a brilliant time with them and will be booking another trip to go see them. Training (with Kevin) was top notch and he made us feel very comfy whilst constantly pushing us. Once out on the trails (which were really well judged for us being on bigger adventure bikes) he led at a great pace for us and was always there to give advice or point things out. Motocamp Wales is a great place if you're in the area and need a place to base yourself.

Fantastic experience: I've spent several weekends and one full week with Moto Junkies this year and had the best time every time, I can't speak too highly of everyone there, it's like having an extra family and I'm completely hooked on riding with them. I also just spent a day on their motorcycle maintenance course, where Steve's tuition was comprehensive and clear with plenty of hands-on practice. Highly recommended, but beware, it's addictive!

Fantastic experience: What an amazing experience in a beautiful place! I met Pete at the ABR festival recently on the Royal Enfield stand and got chatting to him about off-road bike training as I have a trip booked to the Himalayas in September. He was very helpful and so I booked level 1 and 2 on consecutive days. The booking process was easy and accommodation (which is brilliant) is available on site. The former golf course has been converted into a beautiful and well-thought out training site. Day 1 was all about basic skills on an off-road bike beginning with how to pick one up once you've dropped it. The relevance of this soon became obvious! Steve was a great trainer and cups of tea were served as we caught our breath between sessions, giving our legs welcome respite. By the end of day 1 we had worked on the specialist off-road skills of obstacles, hills and slow speed manoeuvring. Day 2 began with revision on site and then off we went into the Welsh hills ending up on a lovely loop of 'Bomber Lane' on the coast. It rained but that didn't dampen our spirits. What a blast. Steph and Steve were excellent hosts and trainers. I cannot recommend Moto Junkie highly enough. I'll be back in August for more!

Fantastic experience: My partner and I spent 4 days at Moto Junkies/Moto Camp Wales, I was on the 2 day trail riding course while my partner spent time exploring Dolgellau & surrounding countryside. The course was fantastic, a small group of six with two instructors. Day 1 was in the grounds getting to learn & practice off road skills & techniques and day 2 out on local trails using the lessons from day 1 and learning a few more. - ruts & going through water (this is Wales after all) all with amazing views of the Welsh mtns & Barmouth estuary. The instructors Gareth & Paul are brilliant, calm, encouraging & good fun to be with. Whether you do 1 day or two you are sure to learn & improve bike handling whilst having fun along the way. And the facilities that Steph, Steve & the team have created here are superb.

Fantastic experience: Great intro day to off-road riding skills and techniques. Even with a fairly mixed ability group, the pacing was perfect and Gareth and Paul were excellent instructors. Look forward to progressing further with them!

Fantastic experience: With no previous off-road experience, I was eager to find a course to learn how to ride my BMW adventure bike off the tarmac. After completing the Train for Trail Level 1 & 2 course, I can confidently say it was an excellent choice. The instructors were very friendly, knowledgeable and encouraging, tailoring the training to each individual, making you work and understand how to improve while offering support and advice. Day one is packed with information and hands-on practice, giving you ample time to apply what you’ve learned. The base camp training ground offers a great variety of obstacles, allowing you to build confidence in your new skills before hitting the trails. Day two featured a superb trail ride through Snowdonia, covering various challenging sections. While it’s definitely the most demanding part of the experience, the stunning scenery makes all the hard work worthwhile. On-site accommodation is available, and their lodges are well-equipped with everything you might need. The camp also offers additional facilities. I can't recommend Moto Junkies enough! A big thanks to Steph and Steve for the welcome and a special shoutout to our instructors, Gareth and Paul, for their exceptional guidance throughout the experience!

Fantastic experience: Attended level 2 train 4 trails at MotoJunkies. The instruction and guidance was specific to each individual, delivered in a fun, friendly and unintimidating manner. Initially within the grounds of MotoCamp Wales we were shown and practiced set courses, taking in various techniques. Later we were guided around local trails, stopping for further instruction and simply to take in the beauty of the National Park. We were challenged not terrified. Highly recommended to gain skills and confidence with a great bunch of people set in the most stunning scenery.

Fantastic experience: Completed their 2-day Train for Trails (T4T) in March. Physically & mentally demanding BUT... On day 2, we put our new skills into practice and had a fantastic 6-hour green-laning ride with instructors Jack & Gareth. Enjoyed it so much that I returned for a second T4T course on it's second day with Jack & Steve; another brilliant day! My thanks to Steph, Jack, Gareth, Steve and the staff for 2 wonderful visits to Motocamp Wales.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant time with Jack on the T4T 1&2! Perfect pace for me and right on the edge of my comfort zone - so the learning was thick and fast! I booked on to try the CRFs out (as a Himalayan owner) and wasn't dissapointed - got to try the 250l and 300l. Met some great people with whom I plan to stay in touch. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Had a great day, with 5 others, on Level 1 training. Jack and Steve were very helpful, patient, knowledgeable, experienced, and gave us great confidence to achieve much more than we expected. Two trainers amongst 6 on great bikes allowed us ample time on the trails learning skills beyond my expectations for the day. The rain added to the skills learnt on wer ground. Good also to meet others on the course. Overall a full on , very useful, fun and also tiring day.

Fantastic experience: Recently completed the Train 4 Trails 1 & 2 course: What a revalation! It has transformed my off-road riding and on the second day I was riding over trails confidently which 24 hours before I'd have taken one look at and said "...There's no way I can ride over that!..." Before the training I was sceptical about how much could be achieved with just 2 days training, however, the change in my riding ability and confidence off-road was amazing. Thouroughly recommended, worth every penny, spend the money on training with MotoJunkies rather than the latest shiny bike farckle! Much better value for money!

Fantastic experience: As a keen golfer the notion of riding a trails bike across a golf course should be anathema to me. However, seeing as how I had factored in a Training For Trails day course with motojunkies this couldn’t have been a better day out in the sunshine and amongst the hills of beautiful Snowdonia. Golf is no longer played on the Dolgellau course, instead the land belongs to motojunkies who run off-road riding skills courses in the rough, and on the now redundant fairways, greens and bunkers. Excellently led by the ever-patient, ever-encouraging Sam and Jack we progressed though the day acquiring new skills, correcting mistakes and honing bad habits. Absolutely great fun. And I never fell off once.

Fantastic experience: Just back from the Adventure Bike training, superb course. I've taken my bike places I'd never imagined taking it and never imagined I'd be able to ride. Kevin and Sam are brilliant instructors, very knowledgable, friendly and laid back. The trails were superb and the facilities at Motorcamp can not be faulted. I feel an annual booking for this course coming on.

Fantastic experience: Ten of us went to Moto Junkies to ride off road. For almost all of us this was a first time experience despite being road bikers for many decades. We were all very impressed with the facilities, the loaned kit, the bikes and by the relaxed atmosphere created by Steph, Steve and Jack. They were very patient with us and we learned a lot over the two days as well as enjoying ourselves and having lots of laughs. We could have self - catered in the well equipped kitchen but we chose to go into Dolgellau, (5 mins drive) for dinner and a few beers. The trails stretched our skills and were varied and lots of fun. I highly recommend Moto Junkies for all grades of off road riders because we know they've got more challenging routes for the experienced! I'm sure we'll be making a return visit

Fantastic experience: Recently attended the Motorcycle Road Skills training weekend to improve my road riding and boost my confidence in the corners. The course comprised an initial theory session covering positioning & roadcraft before we headed out on to some of North Wales finest twisty’s to put the theory in to practice. The course was led by Gareth who provided coaching and feedback as we took turns to lead throughout the day on a variety of roads in mixed March conditions. While some of the theory will be familiar if you’ve completed a Bikesafe course the big difference here is the amount of time you spend on the bike, the comprehensive feedback from the instructor & the opportunity to refine and improve your technique throughout the two days. I’ve undoubtedly come away a better rider - just need to continue to practice and refine the skills I’ve learned!

Fantastic experience: Last week I took my scrambler down to Moto Junkies in Wales for a road skills course. Having never done anything like this before I wasn't quite sure what to expect but I have to say that even so, it really surprised me how much this two day course improved my riding and took my enjoyment of road riding up several notches. I've always loved it but now I feel like I get it on a completely different level! The structure of the weekend was great with some theory in the morning on the first day and then it was all practice around the beautiful mountains of Snowdonia, with regular stops for feedback and discussion on what we'd learnt with regards to cornering, road position, overtaking and smooth riding. Our instructor was very professional and friendly and explained everything in a clear and easy to understand way, it was obvious he was very experienced leading these kind of courses. The cherry on top is the Moto Junkies base itself, MotoCamp Wales , such a beautiful place to come back to for hot showers, food and drinks and plenty of banter at the end of a long day out on the roads. It really has a sense of community that makes me want to come back again and again. In conclusion I would highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to take their riding to the next level, I really can't overstate how it has transformed me as a rider and given me so much confidence on the road. Can't wait to get back out there!

Fantastic experience: I was fortunate to be able to attend the train for trails level 1 and 2 in march. I have done these kind of courses in the past and found this course very useful for ironing out bad habits and learning new techniques. There is ample room onsite for the training and we were also able to make use of the many green lane trails in the area which were awesome. Jack our instructor was great. Very knowledgeable and calm. He was able to demonstrate and articulate everything we needed to learn. I stayed overnight in my camper and was able to make use of the shower facilities there, my friend who was with me stayed in the accommodation which was warm and nicely appointed also With cooking facilities. A camp fire in the evenings and a few beers, what a brilliant weekend we all had. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Four of us decided we'd like to join the team at Moto Junkies for their Intermediate Trail Ride.. We arrived on Friday evening to be met by Steph the owner plus Steve and Sam the two guys that would be leading us a round local sights and trails.. What followed was 2 days of truly fantastic and memorable trail riding with a huge variety of challenges.. there were six in total in the group and absolutely everybody had a blast.. The accommodation was well appointed and spotlessly clean.. and the meals that arrived each evening were filling, wholesome and delicious. Steph was the perfect host, attentive and engaging.. If you're looking for a weekend of excellent trail riding in the beautiful Welsh hills, I cannot recommend Moto Junkies enough.. absolute top draw..
