Fantastic experience: Took me a while to get round to this review, but I did mc1, mc2 and advanced cornering at Exeter in August 2024. Brilliant experience and some of my previously understood beliefs were seriously challenged. Will do again next year to minimise skills fade

Fantastic experience: Completed MC1, was great. Learnt a vast amount in just that one day. Facility area is great with a nice restaurant (rufforth airfield). It was that good I booked on to knee down course, this was more of a challenge than I thought but a good one. Hard work but managed it by the close of play. Tom, instructor was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Would highly recommend i2i

Fantastic experience: Completed the MC1 course at york yesterday, and I can say that it has massively boosted my confidence riding. Tom is a great instructor, and he breaks the theory of how a motorcycle moves down to basic physics. His method of proving the theory by having you do it practically works really well, and he keeps the course interesting by encouraging people to practice more and more until they get it right. I've been riding for nearly 20 years, and Tom has taught a lot of new things in a few hours. I can honestly say that everyone on the MC1 course yesterday came away becoming a better rider, myself included. I felt more confident in myself and more trusting of my motorcycle on the way home. I have booked the MC2 course for next month as I think there is a lot more that Tom can teach me. There is a nice Italian restaurant on the site (York) you can buy lunch and they take card payment if this helps.

Fantastic experience: Just completed MC1 today. The course was fun with very clearly spoken instructions on the basics that most on the course were arguably doing with poor technique. The difference in cornering skills within a few short hours is unbelievable, it totally changed the journey home from the journey up and gave me so much more confidence to ride. Looking forward to MC2 now.

Fantastic experience: I have just completed mc1,mc2,slow riding and knee down courses and achieved far more than i ever thought possible. Tom the instructor/trainer is amazing at what he does and his skills and knowledge are out of this world. Wether you have been riding 1 year or 30 years you will definitely come away with new skills and knowledge. I would highly recommend anyone to attend,you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Yesterday I attended MC1 (machine control 1) at i2i in York and it was FANTASTIC! The coach took us through the details of machine control, explaining everything simply & clearly and gave us all plenty of time & safe space to practice. Some of this stuff was scary, riding no hands, steering with tiny inputs to emergency braking in the wet!! But by the end of the day I came away with so much confidence & life saving skills. Don’t procrastinate BOOK IT!

Fantastic experience: I have just completed the Machine Control 3 Kneedown course with Tom. What an amazing day! Tom was fantastic at explaining the correct body position and what the bike will do for you. What a confidence boost just getting in the correct position (this made the bike move so much easier). Anyway, once I knew what the bike was capable of doing and how much grip it actually gives you, I did get both knee's down which was my main aim by the end of the course. I may never get my knee down on the road but this course has definitely improved my ability on a bike. Thanks again Tom for a great day in 30 degree heat .

Fantastic experience: This is one of the most fantastic training providers I’ve ever been to, in any sense of the word. The whole idea of explaining the physics, explaining the psychology and then being able to go and prove it to yourself in a safe environment to build confidence is something that is unique. I only booked in for one course initially but as soon as I left I booked another two up. Wholeheartedly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Attended the "knee down" course at Milbrook Proving Ground. Hosted by Tom & Colm. What an awesome 4 hours and Tom & Colm are a hilarious double act....and yes, I did get both knees down! Really well structured and Tom & Colm put you through your paces to ensure you learn what's required to get your knee on the floor. Plenty of time on the bike and went home exhausted!

Fantastic experience: What a great day at York! Tom delivers MC1 brilliantly with lots of fun and makes everything make sense... Maybe not quite at the time (as I was a bit anxious), but we went the long country road way home and my riding was revolutionised and my grin factor was definitely back! I was so much more comfortable sat in the right position, less strain on my arms, and cornering was amazing looking forward to practicing my new skills, wish I'd done it years ago! Looking into MC2 now.

Fantastic experience: I have done course one and two, I have been riding for years, but learned so much information, skills, and practical know-how. I wish I had done it sooner. 100% I will be coming back for 3, 4 and 5.

Fantastic experience: MC1 York was fantastic. Really built my bike riding confidence. Tom's delivery was excellent and to the point with evidence. Summary I sit better Grip better. Brake better and understand grip, weight and braking more. Emergency stop better. Flow better. Turn better. Who knew riding tight around a cone could be so satisfying. Feel more at one with the bike but still loads to learn. Looking forward to MC2 in July.

Fantastic experience: Money well spent… after completing 3 courses I cannot speak highly enough of Tom and i2i academy. Each course is well thought out and riding Confidence and Skills increases each time. Tom is very knowledgable, patient and makes these days a lot of fun.

Fantastic experience: Thanks Tom & Colm for an amazingly informative and fun weekend. MC1,2 & 3 has really opened my eyes to how rider and machine interact together, getting me to do things on my bike I never thought possible. It's very much improved my bike control. Finally learning how to get my knee down too was fantastic. Have you got any plans to do an elbow/shoulder down course, without crashing that is?

Fantastic experience: Just finished mc1, 2 and 3 absolutely brilliant!! Everything was clearly explained and demonstrated. I booked the courses really just wanting to find out the bikes capabilities and my own. I got so much from all three courses and did get my knee down! For anyone new or old to riding I would highly recommend these courses. Thankyou so much Tom and colm I’ll be seeing you next year for mc4

Fantastic experience: What can I say about mc1&2. Tom is great at delivering the information you need. He has a great ability to make everyone feel relaxed and comfortable. lesson lay out is well thought out, slowly but steadily building up your confidence and ability. I'm going to practice everything that he taught me over the 2 days and once it all becomes 2nd nature I will be going back for my 3&4.

Fantastic experience: Recently attended MC1,MC2,& MC3 at York. Can thoroughly recommend these courses, and riders of all abilities will come away feeling more confident and have a greater understanding of bike control. Tom is a first class instructor, and the training environment is very relaxed, and non-threatening for new or less confident riders. The lessons are well delivered, the theory is straightforward, and everyone in attendance progressed successfully. Great fun, and well worth the money.

Fantastic experience: What a fantastic experience. I learn't so much from Tommy about body position and vision. Amazing. I did the M3 course, and after 20 years of no knee down, thanks too Tommy I can get my left and right knee down safely. Highly recommended :-)

Fantastic experience: Just completed the MC3 course with Tom.... My oh my the stuff I've learned and the confidence I've gained is beyond belief. Highly recommended to anyone, regardless of how good you think you are, Tom will make you better. I've been riding for 12 years and trained as an instructor!

Fantastic experience: This was the best ever! Tom is a great tutor and the two days were so helpful. I have over 35 years riding experience and MC1 and MC2 helped me understand so much. Highly recomended.

Fantastic experience: Recently attended machine control one in York and booked onto mc2 as soon as I got home. It doesn't matter what your level of biking experience, I guarantee you will come away with increased confidence on your chosen machine. I now feel capable of turning my bike around without feeling as though I am going to fall off, and couldn't believe how quickly I was able to stop my fjr from 40mph. The braking exercise alone might possibly save my life some day.

Fantastic experience: The most informative fun course I have ever done. Tom was so calm and understanding of each individuals needs, he made the experience an abolute pleasure, whilst instilling the lessons and techniques into a riders core competence, they feel Instinctive. I now feel safer and more confident a rider. Thats all down to tom and his course. I would highly recommend the courses to new and experienced riders alike.

Fantastic experience: I came to i2i with an open mind and booked on for the first course and said to myself, if I enjoy it, then I'll look at booking more. I can honestly say the level of training totally blew my expectations out of the water and as soon as I'd finished the first day, managed to get on the 2nd course the day after. Tom is a great instuctor, knows his stuff and my confidence grew with every exercise. What made the course better was that not only did he explain what to do and gave demonstrations, he explained the reasoning why each exercise worked and gave plenty of time to practice. I was not confident at a lot of the exercises at first but put my training at the end of the course to the real road and it just worked Honestly if your on the fence, there is no reason to be, every single penny and minute of it was worth it and you'll walk away with skills you didnt think you had. I'd recommend tom and i2i to anyone

Fantastic experience: 30 years I've been riding motorbikes, and in all that time I've never so much as scratched a knee slider. Imagine how angry I was when after just one day with Tom at the i2i Motorcycle Academy, my knee sliders were extensively damaged. Unless you want your lovely shiny knee sliders ruined, I suggest you steer clear of these cowboys.

Fantastic experience: Great training and really pushes on your skills. Tom is a wealth of knowledge and it would be worth going if only just to listen to him. Thoroughly enjoyed my time and really happy with how far my riding has come on.

Fantastic experience: One of the best things I ever spent money on. Completed MC1, 2 and 3 at Whiteriver in Ireland with Tom and his team. Amazing experience from start to finish. Interesting, informative, and fantastic fun, so much so, I reckon I'll do it again next year. THANK YOU i2i !!!

Fantastic experience: I have been riding bikes since I was 15 years old so over 30 years. This course is an essential for anybody who rides a motorbike no matter how long you have been riding. Tom is friendly, funny and absolutely brilliant at explaining the physics of riding. Forget Twist of the Wrist, Tom knows more and you get to go do it right after he explains it. I am hooked feel so much more confident and in control of my bike and will be doing pretty much every other course i2i do. Tom thanks for a truly brilliant day. Sylly .

Fantastic experience: I attended Machine Control 3 / Knee Down training session. A great experience. I will be returning for more training in the future, and recommending to others. They operate mainly on Rufforth Airfield which is below the marker on google maps. Additionally they also operate at other sites across the country.
