Fantastic experience: Definitely recommend to this training centre. Especially the instructor Robin. He is amazing person. He has a good heart and he understands to people very well. His communication was very clear and Easy to understand, even if English is not my mother language. Robin was my instructor for MOD 2, and he helped me a lot to pass my test on last Thursday at Tolworth Centre. I was looking for a good instructor, after two unsuccessful attempts with a different motorcycle training and tests centre. He is a very knowledgeable instructor. Fantastic experience: Amazing! Highly recommend these guys! I was looking for months for someone to do my Enhanced Rider Scheme with and I couldn’t have found a better company. My day started horrifically as my fuse had died then I lost the screw on the terminal was I was never going to make it to Ewell on time. I contacted Robin who was amazing about, understanding and offered on more than one occasion to reschedule but I got the problem sorted and then made my way there. Robin talked me though everything and we set off on the ride, letting me go ahead and give tips whenever I needed them, also covered a lot of things i wasn’t aware of and introduced me to an absolute game changer, counter steering. We worked on many things and I’ve come away 100% a better rider than I was. Very enjoyable day. As well as very good at his job Robin is a top bloke and I would recommend him and Phoenix to anyone wanting any sort of bike training! Thanks again!

Fantastic experience: First class is how I would describe Robin, I did my module two with him and I would highly recommend Robin as an instructor the guy is a 100% professional is his approach to training and reasoning and he will use diagrams to explain what he means if you are unsure. I sadly failed my module two twice with another motorbike training company, but I felt a lot more confident with Robin as he will take time to explain things and nothing is too much trouble for him. Please if you are looking for an instructor to pass these tests we have to do, then ring him.

Fantastic experience: Robin is an excellent teacher. I did my CBT and DAS with him. Felt very prepared for the tests, and safe on the road in general. Robin knows the textbook inside and out, and how to effectively teach it, as well as overlaying practical realities. Practicing at the test centre and on the test routes is an added bonus. Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend Robin and Pheonix Motorcycling Ewell highly enough. Robin is a fantastic instructor, exceptionally knowledgeable and very patient. Robin gave us some practice time at the Module 1 test centre to put us at ease and took us round many of the module 2 routes so that there wasn't any surprises. Passed CBT and DAS first time thanks to Robin.

Fantastic experience: Passed my Mod2 test 2 days ago. With previous unsuccessful attempt , I was looking for good instructor to improve my skills. By far Robin has been the best instructor I have come across , having been trained by 2 previous instructors at a different training centre. Robin's style of teaching is impeccable . He not only teaches you the skills to pass the test but most importantly teaches you how to be a safe rider. Will definitely see him again to take some enhanced riding lessons. Highly recommend

I went from zero riding experience to passing the full motorcycle test first time all due to Robin's first class tuition. Fantastic experience: What can I say! Read previous reviews, compared reviews, and Robin went above and beyond. For years I rode a 50cc scooter and upgraded to a 125cc geared bike. No gear bike experience so Robin tutored me prior to my CBT. The CBT training was very thorough. No question was a silly question. I felt comfortable, confident and capable from start to finish. Thanks is not enough. I will be back for my pre test training.

Fantastic experience: I called to book my CBT, but unfortunately there were busy to take early bookings as i needed my cbt Asap. However, the customer service and advise i been given on the phone was absolutely tremendous very helpful and explained the journey of getting my full license in a easy way for someone who has no clue in the bike world. I will definitely get my full A license from phoenix as I know i will get the best training from them.

Fantastic experience: Robin is a personable, experienced and very knowledgeable instructor who over the past 2 years has successfully taken me from my CBT lla the way through to my A2 license and consequent conversion to full Cat A with the Enhanced Rider qualification. I passed my recent Cat A conversion tests with 0 faults in both Mod 1 and Mod 2, as did the other candidate taking it that day, which is testiment to Robins teaching. He won't just teach you how to pass the test routes, he'll teach you how to be a safe and confident rider which is invaluable when you come to ride independently. I'd have no hesitation in recommending Robin to anyone wishing to start out or improve in their riding.

Fantastic experience: CBT and full licence - I've been on a scooter for ages like most and had put off doing the full test due to time and work for a long time! After my last CBT Robin and I made a plan to change that and complete the full licence. I have a difficult work schedule and Robin was incredibly obliging and professional helping me make the dates work. Robin is a great instructor and clearly loves and understands bikes. He's firm and pushes but is incredibly appropriate as your safety on the bike is his key concern. I'm quite particular in how I take on board information and was grateful that I could discuss riding and technique in my own words with Robin. I highly recommend both his classes for CBT and full test. I thought I knew how to ride but I learned more than I knew! I would confidently and have already recommended a friend. Thank you

Fantastic experience: Done my full motorcycle test (CBT followed by Mod 1 & 2) and I could not recommend Robin of Phoenix enough! Great teacher, very friendly and great at building confidence. I managed to pass both tests with 0 faults and that is down to some great teaching!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic motorcycle training school. I completed both my A2 license and my progressive access to my A license and couldn't have chose a better school to do it with. Robins wealth of motorcycle riding knowledge linked with great teaching and coaching almost makes it impossible to fail. Fantastic experience: First Class Experience! A very professional, efficient and friendly training school with a fantastic training programme and instructor. Being that i had never ridden a bike with the tuition from Robin i have come away with a full bike licence and passed CBT, MOD1 ,MOD2 first time. Faultless from start to finish i cannot recommend more highly and worth every penny, once again thank you Robin!!

Fantastic experience: The service robin provided and the help was amazing I'd never ridden a bike and was doing a DAS for a2 motorbike from cbt to the mod 2 robin was really supportive and helped me achieve my pass with only 1 miner if you really want someone who's going to get you to a standard you feel comfortable and safe while riding and not only teaching you to pass then robin is you guy 10/10

Fantastic experience: Can’t thank robin enough , I got banned for a year and had to re take my a2 test and get an extended test booked , all the other schools I called had no idea what they was doing, giving me the run around , gave robin a call and it was all booked in a matter of days , the quality of training you get from robin at Phoenix you won’t find anywhere else , very very good instructor I would highly recommend booking your test through robin at Phoenix.

Fantastic experience: I am an experienced motorcyclist that needed to obtain my UK Catogary A license having ridden in the UK with a foreign license on and off for a while. So I finally decided to set aside some time from my work schedule, determined to get my UK motorcycle license off the bucket list! So I searched online and discovered the Phoenix Motorcycle Training Centre in West Ewell. I live in SW London and so this locality was ideal. I called them up and got a friendly voice introducing himself as Robin. I explained to Robin a bit of my motorcycling background and he very quickly gave me the list of requirements that I needed to obtain/go-though for a full catogary A motorcycle permit in the UK. I had very little understanding of the process before this was explained to me. Robin said that because I had prior experience, I could get onto the DAS (Direct Access Scheme, which would effectively fast track me) and that it would take me a week (7 days exactly) provided I passed my Theory Test prior to commencing training at the centre. I took and passed my theory exam on March 7th. Started my CBT (Compulsory Basic Training) with Robin at Phoenix on March 16th. Did my training for Module 1 on the 17th and passed it on the 18th. Resumed again on the 21st to train for my Module 2 and passed it on the 22nd of March! I was sooooo happy and relieved...! I cannot thank Robin Sheard enough for the excellent and safe training he put me through for that week to reverse the many of the not-so-great habits I’d picked up in the years prior. He is a highly experienced instructor with many years under his belt. I don’t think I would have managed to keep up the pace if it were not for his excellent methodology and patience with me. I highly recommend Robin at the Phoenix Motorcycle Training centre in West Ewell for anyone in similar circumstances or to anyone wishing to learn to ride for the first time. Their facilities are great and everyone you’ll meet is friendly and professional. I’m now considering my advanced level training with Phoenix in the summer. Thank you, Robin! Al Zawawi

Fantastic experience: Just passed my MOD 2 exam all thanks to Robin at Phoenix!! After having a terrible training course with a different school, I booked a days training and my MOD 2 with Robin. The quality of the training and equipment at Phoenix far surpassed the other school, they were worlds apart. I cannot recommend Robin highly enough, do not waste your time and money going anywhere else. I will be forever grateful for the training and advice given to me and can ride with confidence knowing that I have been taught by the best!!

Fantastic experience: I did my Direct Access Scheme in November with Robin and the team. I had fun week and learnt a great deal. Passed first time and have been enjoying the bigger bikes ever since. Bikes are well maintained and the location is ideal for learning and practicing your road craft. You also get to go to some really good cafes in between practice rides.

Fantastic experience: Cannot rate Pheonix highly enough. Superb tuition from Robin from day one. Started CBT on a Saturday. Passed Part 1 on Monday. A couple of days rest then practice for Part 2 Thursday and I passed my full test the next morning. A brilliant company.

Fantastic experience: Passed my Mod2 today (first attempt).!! Robin is an amazing instructor, very professional, calm. He takes a very holistic approach towards riding.. his approach goes well beyond saying just do this do that.. there is great focus on effectiveness of what ur doing it's not about just doing it... Robin is gifted when it comes to level of patience and ability to impart the skills without causing any stress to students. He really helped me calm down and focus on the moment without getting too frazzled. I have to say best in business when it comes to rider training. Would highly recommend Phonenix Ewell. They can get really busy (u know why) so call early and gets ur training and test dates booked.

Fantastic experience: As mature-ish chap looking to learn to ride I simply cannot recommend Pheonix Ewell highly enough. I took and passed my CBT, Mod 1 and Mod 2 with expert tuition from Stuart and then Robin. Professionals and gentlemen both, with the very highest of training standards and a vast depth of experience. They use the actual Mod 1 test centre for training and then ride the Mod 2 test routes, which is incredibly helpful. If you are thinking of learning to ride, stop thinking and contact Robin. You won't look back and it will be an amazing experience.

Fantastic experience: A brilliant standard of training, promoting confident, smooth motorcycling whilst upholding exceptional standards of safety and teaching. Both Robin and Stuart provide great examples and explanations when things aren't understood first time and thanks to them I've passed my Mod 2 at the first time of asking. Motorbikes are in excellent condition as is any equipment you may need to borrow. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Firstly I would like to say to anyone thinking of learning to ride a bike but thinks maybe they’re too old or will feel a bit stupid don’t, it has been a great experience and the guys at Phoenix will put you at ease and have bundles of patience and knowledge to help you no matter what stage you might be at .. Robin has a wealth of knowledge and some great tips and easy to follow instructions to help you on your way ... Fantastic experience: I took my CBT, mod 1 and mod 2 with Phoenix and I would highly recommend them. Robin and Stuart are fantastic instructors who really know their stuff; thanks to you both! Update - I went back to Phoenix for a post test skills day to try and tackle problems that I'd been having with slow speed maneuvers. Robin very quickly identified the cause of the issue and within a few hours I had overcome a problem that I'd struggled with for almost a year. Thanks once again for a fantastic day!

Fantastic experience: Had a brilliant time with Robin (and Stuart briefly) for my 5 day DAS Course training with Phoenix. I had done my CBT a year ago with a different school but had not done a lot of riding since so was keen to get some advice about the test format and requirements. After sitting down with Robin he was able to put together a schedule to match my needs. This included a CBT refresher on the first day so he could assess my level and give me some extra time to practice my low speed manoeuvres. On the day I was made to feel at ease very quickly with Robin’s patience and knowledge. One of the big positives of training with Phoenix is that they book slots at the training centre over the weekend, when tests are not taking place, so you can practice around the actual course you will be tested on. This really helped with nerves on the day. Happy to say I passed it first time. In preparation for Module 2, Robin focused on the areas needed to improve my riding for the test, providing helpful feedback along the way and during our coffee breaks. Also passed first time. Thank you so much for everything and I will definitely pop in to see you in future

Fantastic experience: As a novice I chose Phoenix for my CBT and then immediately booked my DAS with them. The training with Robin and Stuart was both excellent, and enjoyable. You can tell both guys enjoy their riding (and their coffee!). I went on to pass my Module 1 and Module 2 (first time) with them and would highly recommend Phoenix to others.

Fantastic experience: Hi guys, I used Google and found Phoenix last month and oh am I glad I did. The boys at Phoenix are absolutely fantastic, they are patient , dedicated and very passionate about what they do. I worked with Stuart and Robin to learn through the stages of how to ride, passed mod 1 and today successfully passed my mod 2 test. Thankyou so much Robin for not only getting me through the test but spending extra time giving me advise and teaching me lots on and off road. Fantastic experience: I did my A licence with Phoenix after having held an A2 for two years and they were amazing. The training was thorough and professional, the instructors friendly and experienced. the location of the school is very good, a few minutes drive from the A3 and close to Tolworth so much of the training can be done over test routes. With the help of Phoenix i got 100% on my mod1 and mod2 test, i definitely wouldn't have done that without the great training from these guys, cannot recommend enough.

Fantastic experience: I tend to think I have been a slow learner. So I'm really glad I chose Phoenix Motorcycle Training in Ewell. Now I've reached the halfway point in the training and can't believe I waited so long with such a good training centre in my area. It's no accident (sorry for the pun) that everyone gives this place 5 stars. Both of the trainers I have had were absolutely excellent - better than I would be in my own field of expertise. I'll give another review when I have completed the training, but so far it's a case of "only 5 stars because 6 isn't possible". Patient, skilled, knowledgeable, good safe environment. I've felt completely in control despite my lack of skill at the beginnng! Can't ask for more.

Fantastic experience: My experience has been great. After failing a few times with another company, Robin and Stuart helped me get to the bottom of my main issues. They have also helped regain my confidence which was instrumental in passing the MOD 2 exam. I highly recommend, they are professional, focused and just very helpful.

Fantastic experience: Being an experienced rider (from abroad), had to get my DAS done to get on the road in UK. Robin was kind enough to checkout my riding skills and offered me a fast track course, whereas other schools wouldn’t even entertain something similar at all; thus saving me precious holiday time and of course money. Both Robin & Stuart are highly professional yet fun to train & ride with and work hard to instil a high standard of riding discipline in their students. I would highly recommend Phoenix to all new & experienced riders alike.

Fantastic experience: Today the 9th of June 2017, I have passe my Mod 2 test, I have never been on a motorbike before when I joined this training course at Phoenix Ewell. Robin put me on a 6 days well structured training course were I passed Mod 1 & 2 first time!,,,, I never thought it is possible in such a short time but it pays when you choose a professional instructors such as Robin and Stewart. I cannot thank both of them enough. I Will definitely take more training with Phoenix Ewell to add more to my riding skills.

Fantastic experience: Robin and Stuart are great they helped me through the entire process, They teach you how to become a confident rider not just how to pass a test! I had only ridden a bike a handful of times before and can say with full confidence no matter what skill level whether complete novice (like me) or an experienced rider you will come out having learnt a lot and 0 bad habits. I have gone from cbt to a2, passed all 1st time, with them and had a great time along the way! Fantastic experience: Two months on from passing my test i'm going to add some comments to this review, not sure why I didn't in the first place! I took my Direct Access Course via Phoenix and had both Stuart and Robin as my instructors. Stuart was given the task of teaching me the Mod 1 elements and Robin took charge when it came to Mod 2 training. Both instructors were fantastic, very understanding and took time to explain things. Robin is very observant and will pick up on things that you don't realise you are doing wrong, which is exactly what you want! If you live in the are and are thinking about doing your license, speak to these guys!

Fantastic experience: Excellent and Dedicated teaching in a little bit of a "tough love" kind of way. Robin and Stuart know the importance of safety when riding on the road and everything they do can prep the average Joe to be safety conscious, aware and most importantly a kick-ass rider. Fantastic experience: I’d like to thank Robin and Stuart at Phoenix motorcycle training for getting me through my big bike test. My CBT was running out fast (inside 2 weeks) and so I decided to do a DAS course. Robin at Phoenix was really helpful over the phone, helping me with potential different dates that could fit within my tight schedule. Stuart was great at getting me used to controlling a heavier more powerful bike in a safe environment off-road, and offering me tips and pointing out both the good and bad points of what I’d done when we were on the road. Negative experience: Of you want to be shouted at for a whole day. And told not to take your exam because you will fail anyway them go there. I paid for my test but repeatedly told not to take it because I will fail anyway, and it would be better not to take it rather than fail. Also they charge 355 for a day and half including the test... But once you pay you realise that you have paid 362 for some reason!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended! No matter how nervous or confident you are, you will be in excellent hands. I did my DAS here and can certainly recommend any level of training at Phoenix Ewell. I would like to thank both Robin and Stuart for their fantastic tuition, which was calm, collected and fun, whilst giving excellent pointers above and beyond the expected standard of tuition, making things easier for you once you pass the test.
