Fantastic experience: A super-supportive team for even the most nervous of riders. Having a lady-instructor available is an absolute bonus. Kate is so patient and understanding and took me from a 125 straight up to my full A license. They have a range of sizes of bike available, including a few lowered bikes which are essential for smaller riders

Hadn't ridden for 12 years so VERY rusty, but she was incredibly patient and supportive, helping me build my confidence to go out on the road and work my way up to getting my own bike. Fantastic experience: The best! Not usually one to leave reviews but can’t speak highly enough of Staffs Rider Training. Did my CBT a couple of months ago with Kate, who was fantastic. Started my DAS with Rob, couldn’t be more accommodating, holding lessons after work, no pressure and just a fantastic team environment. You don’t just learn to pass your tests, you learn how to ride a bike comfortably and confidently. I had lessons a number of years ago at another local training school, there is no comparison. Passed both MOD 1 & MOD 2 first time. If you’re looking to get into riding, this is the place to do it!

Fantastic experience: I did my CBT here a week ago, John and Tony were extremely informative and patient. We had a good laff and so much fun! I felt super relaxed. We all make mistakes as learners, but John and Tony reassured me that it's ok and to try again. I ended up coming away with a pass with some brilliant advice, not just on how to ride a bike but on gear, too. Rob also guided me through the process of doing my DAS and broke down what is needed and required. Lovely bunch of blokes! UPDATE: I have recently passed my Mod1 and Mod2 with Rob and I am so glad I did too. Not easy at all but Rob and the team are thorough and give good tips and pointers to pass both modules. Win win. I have just recommended a neighbour to come to you and do his CBT. Thanks again!!!

Fantastic experience: I completed my DAS course with Staff Rider Training, I would give them 6 stars if possible, great instruction, fantastic instructors, I had only passed my CBT at the end of October and after never owning and very little riding experience before hand, I started my Das course the first week in November, passed my Mod 1 at the start of December and passed my full test on the 5th Jan, they don’t pressure you and only put you in for your test when you are ready. I’m glad I chose Staffs Rider Training, thank you all

Negative experience: After take my money for my first part of the bike test then would not return calls or texts and has now cost me I've more money don't brother wasting your time with Rob only after 1 thing that money

Fantastic experience: Kate Gries is the undeniable star of motorcycle training, definitely in the Midlands but probably the whole of the UK, too. I was nervous to attempt my CBT but Kate broke the steps down really well, showed me useful tips and had very clear and kind instruction on the road portion of the training. You will not find a more patient, safe or understanding instructor. Thanks Staffs Rider Training.

Fantastic experience: My partner brought me a scooter. We decided to do our CBT together so booked our CBT with Kate. I hadn’t been on a bike for 40 years, I was a complete novice and could bearly stay upright. Kate is absolutely brilliant so is patient and professional. She has a natural ability to put you at ease. She even gave me extra tuition because I was so nervous, needless today I passed!! Thank you Kate you are amazing at your job, thank you so much for getting me through it.

I suffer with slow learning and possible adhd I was extremely low in confidence so I was taken here by a friend but I'm so greatful she did.. I had Kate as my instructor.. let's say she had to take me out more than once, because my confidence was that low. She sorted my head out got me focused extremely patient really friendly, if they offer any advanced training, I will eventually be doing this with them.. but Kate really pushed me on and I passed my cbt with Kate yesterday.. looking forward to going out on the bike and get riding thanks Kate and everyone at staffs rider training

Fantastic experience: The perfect mix of personable but professional. Great riding school I've had the pleasure of doing both my CBT and DAS a year later. Can cater for a wide range of riding abilities and offer unique teaching styles which helps the skills develop organically from within the rider. Couldn't recommend more, absolutely fantastic.

I passed my Mod 1 on the 10/09/20 and was booked in for Mod 2 Test Today on 15/09/20 could not have picked a better Riding school To Train with. Highly recommended. Negative experience: My wife who is a novice rider took her CBT at the weekend. She noticed the rear brake pedal was higher than the footrest and she was struggling to lift her foot high enough to apply the brake. As she was being asked to "feather" the back brake when stopping she complained to the instructor. He said it was OK and to carry on, she kept trying but found it almost impossible not to apply the brake too harshly and complained again. This time the instructor rode the bike and then took it to the side and altered the brake rod and tried to BEND the pedal down. After this she felt better but the pedal still felt high, the instructor said she had not reached a level where she could be allowed on the road and would need extra instruction. She had this today and was given the same bike with the pedal still higher than the footrest, I was told they had tried to lower it in the morning but had only adjusted the rod linkage so you had to push the pedal further down to put the brake on, this did not lower the pedal. After the instruction she still had not reached a sufficient standard to pass. I have no problem with the fact she did not pass and i would not want her on the road if she was not competent. My issue is she was given a bike which was not set up correctly and she wasted time trying to overcome a fault which should not have been there, and was not rectified 5 days later. We were not expecting a new bike but were expecting a bike that was fit for purpose. Having spoken to them they just dismissed my complaint and said the pedal was OK in that position. As a rider of nearly 40 years and a mechanical engineer I do not agree. NOT a happy customer.

Positive experience: Hi alI Hihave completed my cbt here and was happy with the training so decided to do a course to complete which was great as I rode beore So I didnt need all the trainin I payed for the course and test which I did mention I never had all my riding hours as I didnt need them but still charged me the same amount 650 plus for 4 lessons not even a 40 mins long on mod 1 and 2 training I passed first time its not that they said we will give you discount if you do cbt course and mod 1 and 2 no discount which I wasnt best pleased with as this fidnt come about. Then When you do pass they say oh you had all ya lessons Rob is a good trainer but for what training I did have I dont thinks it compensates for all the money I paid its unclear of amount of hours you get as it kept changing but make sure you get it in writing what you have Richard.

Fantastic experience: I did my full access training with them. their training was very thorough and the CBT alone was so detailed that I think it had enough to get you through the final Mod 1 & Mod 2 tests. It also provided lots of info which came up on the bike theory test too. Managed to pass all tests first time and their training was a huge factor in this. Would recommend them to all those looking to get on a bike

Fantastic experience: I did the whole "Shabang" with these guys at staffs rider. CBT to Licence through their DAS offers, which worked out at a great price! I Had a great time learning to ride with these lot (literally from never riding before to full license). Rob, Ken I really appreciate you fitting all the lessons and tests in around my busy life. You made the London to Tamworth and Bath to Tamworth travel that little bit more enjoyable - knowing I'd be having some fun while learning. I can't fault this school and the instructors! Bikes were great, people were great and the Tea was alright ;) although to be honest a sugary tea was definitely needed to keep your heart pumping in this cold weather! All the best for the future, I would highly recommend this riding school and I'm sure I'll be in touch in the near future for advice!
