Fantastic experience: An odd thing for these guys to deal with.. As a biker of 30 years, DVLA lost my entitlement. Dave did indeed teach an old dog how to do new tricks. Passed my test (the first time in March of 1993) DVLA lost my records, thus if I wanted to ride my 3 motorcycles, I had to do it again. Dave took the time to knock 30 years of bad habits out me, full CBT conversion, MOD 1 (part 1 as it was), MOD 2 (part 2 as it was) he made it a breeze. In less than a week, I passed all first time. (again :)) Excellent, knowledgeable man, with the patience of a saint. I could not recommend these guys enough. If you want your license, go with these guys!!!!! Took my Blade out the other day, and with the new knowledge and shared experience I feel that I am a safer rider and this is owed to JJ's motorcycle training. My motorcycles' like to most bikers is your friend, enemy and therapist. Well done Dave and thanks again mate.

Fantastic experience: Excellent training. Dave is a highly knowledgeable trainer and guided me from start to finish acquiring my full A license. JJ’s is a company that cares about the individual and high quality of instruction, much more so than the larger more ‘corporate’ training companies. The focus is heavily on improving your riding technique and rider safety, which I felt over the duration of the course. I’d highly recommend JJ’s to anyone looking to acquire bike licenses or anyone wanting to improve their riding. Thanks Dave!

Fantastic experience: Yesterday I completed my 7 session course at JJ's, and I Passed all 3 tests 1st time round. I'm estactic, Amazing!! CBT, 125cc my instructor Jack, made me feel so at ease, I had never rode a manual motorbike before and by the end of my double session I felt confident on the bike and out on public roads. Passed!! MOD 1 + 2 With Dave, 600cc now the exciting part, going up in cc, it felt great learning, training, practising I loved it. Dave was great to work with any questions I had or help/advice needed he was there with an answer or the help. Never doubt yourselves ladies, if you wanna ride get out their, and enjoy it. Also, Amanda, id like to say thank you to you for the morning conversations the help to beleive in myself and have the confidence your always smiling ready for day, the advise the laughs the support I'm so greatful I found you guys. Fantastic experience: I done my CBT with David one of the instructors. Can't fault the company or the instructor. Very clear concise instructions with patience when you get it wrong. Well worth the money and gave me the confidence to get back on 2 wheels. Will use them when I go for my big boys licence. Many thanks Dibbles

Fantastic experience: Couldn’t recommend JJs enough (I have already recommended them to a couple of friends). I did my full licence in October (CBT to MOD2) before this I had no experience on any kind of bike and was very anxious to start - my nerves were acknowledged by Jack in my CBT and all other lessons with Dave, they both made sure to ask if I was happy to do the exercises/rides and if i had any concerns spoke through them! Dave is extremely professional, experienced, knowledgeable and most importantly patient - I felt respected the whole time and was never made to feel stupid when I made some silly mistakes on a lesson. The course was practical and each session was planned (it was nice having a date for both tests as this was something to aim for). On lessons Dave made sure we had breaks to discuss how things were going/how things could be improved - this was always a two way conversation. I felt ready for my tests and passed both first time thanks to Dave! I have to mention Amanda who is so friendly, approachable and encouraging & is genuinely happy for you when you pass or speak about lessons which is lovely! Thankyou so much! Fantastic experience: Outstanding experience. I was told in an email in an email they would get me a pass in a week, and that was spot on. A week ago on the 11/09/2024 i had no clue about bikes. How they work, how to ride one, or where everthing is on a bike, and after a CBT on a 125cc bike and within about 16 - 20 hours of Riding time on a 650cc bike i have now on the 18/09/2024 i have achived my catagory A licence. My experience with this school as gone beyond my exceeded expectations. From the very begining till the very end. The Director of JJ'S was my mentor (Dave) honestly this man, down to earth, friendly, patient, kind. His Wife Amanda also was a delightful person to meet. This training company does deserve its own award for "Best motorcycling school" because the hard work and effort they go through to get people where they need to be is outstanding. All and all 10/10 experience and 10/10 School and when i get my bike and after a few months or more of getting to know the bike. I will be coming back for more advanced training. Fantastic experience: Just went here for my first CBT, couldn't ask for better! Dave was excellent at making everyone feel safe, included and informed, even when I was the only novice. Facilities/ equipment were great, the building was easy to find. But, as always, the staff were the real stars of the show. Everyone I spoke to were so friendly. I know where I'll be going for my full license!

Fantastic experience: Genuinely couldn't respect or appreciate Dave and amanda at jjs anymore than I do. Such a professional, calm and experienced teacher and trainer. I had a bad experience with the last company I did my DAS course with and it knocked my confidence massively and almost instantly from the moment I got to jjs I knew I'd pass! I passed my full A license through jjs and I couldn't recommend them enough. Please don't considering booking with anybody else. THEY ARE THE BEST. Thanks so much for such a great experience. Fantastic experience: After attempting my CBT with a franchise company rhyming with "Bam Hider" and being ridiculed, belittled, told "your biggest problem is you" which massively impacted my confidence and effectively not passing, I called JJs (in a state and very upset). I was immediately reassured that this should be a fun and enjoyable experience. I booked in with JJs and was blown away. This family run company is literally worlds apart from any franchise!!! Jay's teaching methods are incredible. He has a calm, positive approach with some amazing tips and tricks which really do help! Plus the patience of a saint!!! No pressure, loads of breaks, working at your own speed. Needless to say I passed and his calming voice is still in my ear! Brilliant company. I will be back. If you're ever in doubt of who to train with go to JJs ... you won't be disappointed! (And you'll make friends and feel like one of the family!)

Fantastic experience: If you're wanting to learn to ride a motorbike you won't get a better company than JJ's. Dave and Amanda are the kindest people and are so patient and understanding. I really really struggled and it took me alot longer than other people but Dave didn't give up on me and never made feel bad about anything at all. I passed my full license the other day and am so much more confident! I'd say I'll miss Dave and Amanda, but I don't have to because they do Motorbike meets every other Monday and everyone is so friendly! Thank you again to this amazing company

The website says family run and training with them certainly feels like you are being welcomed into the family. They were incredibly flexible and supportive with the limited dates I could do. One of the best parts are the coffee breaks when you’re out on the road. From booking the sessions with Amanda to the practical lessons with Dave it was nothing but professionalism though and through, there was no upselling to get more money out of you as they truly care about you as the rider. They we’re able to plan the lessons with ease around my hectic schedule and throughout all my time spent with JJ’s I was given realistic timeframes and all the training received was more than enough to help me pass all tests first time! Even the after care is unmatched, I’m able to contact JJ’s to ask advice when buying my first bike, you really do become part of the JJ’s family. Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantasic to be trained by, super friendly and professional. I hadnt been on a bike in 30 years and today i feel i am able to ride anything! And i have the paperwork to prove it! Definitely reccommend to all who want to ride safe on the road.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing day at JJs. Dave was great and explained everything in a way which I fully understood. Nothing was a problem and if I didn't fully understand anything, it was re-explained in a manner that meant I did understand it. The bikes were easy to ride and well maintained. Honestly if someone said who would you go to for a Bike License, my first and only thought would be Dave at JJMCT.

Fantastic experience: Dave was absolutely wonderful with my complete novice 16yo son learning to ride a manual 50cc. Worth every penny spending the extra for 1-2-1 lessons. All done at a pace that he was comfortable with, focussing on teaching all aspects of road safety, not just getting him through the CBT. Repeatedly went above and beyond to help us. Wouldn’t recommend anyone else for a young novice.

Fantastic experience: After having my first ever CBT elsewhere and not actually being taught how to use the machine thus not giving me any road experience or my CBT. I discovered JJ's and that was a lifesaver. I was given proper instruction from start to finish, training tailored to you. It's on a 1 instructor to 2 students basis meaning you won't get left out. The instructor was brilliant, very friendly and definitely a great mentor. Had a brilliant experience and I now feel ready and prepared for the road and feel confident and comfortable to do my full A1 license soon. Massive thanks to JJ'S!

Negative experience: Ironic that JJ’s motorcycle training is in the business of teaching vulnerable road users how to drive legally, safely and responsibly but their own staff are unable to drive legally when out on the road. Was clipped on the shoulder this evening by their well branded van (you’d think they want to present themselves as good drivers in company vehicles) whilst cycling through Swavesey this evening. There was no oncoming traffic or obstructions and both the driver and their passenger were shouting profanities out of the window as they did it showing their intent. This business is clearly run by vile people who have no care for road users which is made all the worse by the fact it’s their job to teach the Highway Code. In future I hope they practice what they preach and failing that, lose their operating licence for dangerous driving convictions. DO NOT RISK YOUR LIVES BEING TAUGHT BY THIS COMPANY.

Fantastic experience: My instructor was Matt (Smurf) was very informative and patient, I started off with a lack of confidence with geared road bikes, and a lack of understanding for alot of the Highway code, but after the day I am now the opposite on both subjects, would highly recommend for a CBT.

Fantastic experience: I’m American so I never drove on a bike in England (only had a little experience before) I was extremely nervous! However my instructor was AMAZING and very friendly and had the patience of a god! During class he made me feel and taught me how to be more confident while ridding and teaching me all that I need to know and correcting me when needed in a very calm respectful way. definitely recommend this school for anyone (teens,adults) wanting to learn how to ride and be safe! (The rest of the staff is wonderful and helpful as well)

Fantastic experience: I did my full training with JJ's from CBT to Mod2 - had an absolutely brilliant time and learnt loads. Amanda is so helpful on the phone, and massive thanks to Smurf for the initial training, and Dave for being so kind and supportive and giving me the confidence to pass Mod1 and 2 first time. They've remained in contact and got me booked in as soon as possible every single time. Fantastic experience: I had my CBT, Mod 1, Mod 2 training with JJ's and found the whole process very professional and informative and a pleasurable. Amanda made it so easy to book and explained to me what I needed to do and what to bring with me on the day. Smurf ( my instructor for my CBT) has the great ability of getting the best out of you and really cares about your safety on the roads. He not only puts you at ease but actually makes it fun! Dave (my instructor for Mod 1-2) is a excellent and highly experienced instructor. He made the whole process a pleasure. He teaches you everything you need to know in a calm manner and makes you feel safe while learning on the road. It's reassuring to see him in your mirror keeping you safe from other road users. I passed both my mod 1-2 first time thanks to the amazing training I received from Dave and the team. If you're thinking of booking motorcycle training JJ'S is the place to do it...

Negative experience: AVOID. Very poor service, initially after paying the full course fee of £930 the sessions were great. Friendly instructor who does a good job. Doesn’t seem so if you do not pass first time, on the return from the test centre the other student and instructor left me behind and I had to find my own way back to JJ’s. Attitude towards people who fail on test most certainly seems to be treated as an annoyance likely due do this affecting their pass rate. After contacting them three times all of which I was told ‘I’ll call you back today or tomorrow with dates and times’ never happened (over a two week period). So after this I decided that I should cancel my mod 2 training and test with them as they haven’t been offered any further sessions and to look elsewhere and luckily I’ve got booked in. However, JJs claim that there is a no refund policy for cancellations (not at all visible on their website). So they have basically taken £300 off me and will probably book in another student and get another £300. I understand the test fee booking being non-refundable. Very angry and let down. I know a few people looking into training and I will categorically tell them to avoid this company!! I went with a guy in Milton who was excellent.

Fantastic experience: I took my cbt training yesterday with Matt ( smurf ) Having been off a motorcycle for over 18 years l was a tad nervous about getting on a bike again , but l needn’t have worried , as soon as l arrived Matt spoke to me and put me at ease , it was like talking to someone you e known your whole life . The training was thorough professional and all done at a steady easy pace and the off road handling was excellent , giving you an opportunity to get used to the bike and it’s handling . After all that the afternoon was given over to a 2 hour ride on the bike with Matt in your ear all the way , correcting you when you made a mistake and giving advice on what to do . The day was very relaxed and reassuring and at the end l received my cbt certificate . I cannot recommend Dave , Steve and especially Matt highly enough , they were very patient and really care about getting you to a point where they can give you this certificate , they demonstrate everything they want to teach you . I fully intended just to do the cbt every two years , but not now , after a suitable period of riding l’ll almost certainly go for my full license , they were THAT good . Thanks to all especially smurf , and Amanda for taking all my calls and emails re the training while l waited for my bike to arrive .catch you all again soon Best regards Rob follon

Fantastic experience: Don't usually leave reviews for these types of things. But in this case I'm happy to. It was a few months back now and admittedly I can be rather forgetful, so it took me a while. But what I can say is that my experience was nothing but a genuine pleasure at being a student of the good people at JJ's a big thanks goes to Smurf for actually making sure I knew what I was doing on the road and not causing a 10 car pile up. Kudos to you all.

Fantastic experience: After a rubbish experience trying to take my CBT with another local training provider (no names but it rhymes with 'SchmideSchmafe') I was delighted to speak with Amanda who even managed to book me in for the date the other company had cancelled, thus meaning I didn't need to book more time off work! Turned up on a miserable rainy morning to be met with the bright and chipper Smurf, who was patient, understanding and positive, which gives you the confidence boost you need if your riding skills are a tiny bit rusty! After the mandatory slow riding skills and classroom fluff, we went out for a grim, cold road ride to finish the course. Felt like a real achievement on a challenging day and am happy as Larry to be back on the road after a long sabbatical! JJ's were great, relaxed, eager to listen and genuinely happy to go over any aspect of the day as many times as you need. If you need your CBT or are looking to take your full test, then you need to speak to these guys. Dave, Amanda and Smurf were a real genuine team and you could feel the camaraderie there. I can't wait to take my MOD1 and MOD2 with them. Plus, they're twenty quid cheaper than the other chaps. BARGAIN!!!

Fantastic experience: I went with JJ's and it was a great overall experience very informative and he was a great teacher all I can say I was very nervous and very scared but they gave me the confidence to ride a motorcycle with great ease thank you Jim for the wonderful experience and the knowledge to help me continue.

Negative experience: Incredibly disappointed with JJ's Motorcycle Training Have spent £300 on DAS sessions, was booked in for a test on the 20th of August. Test dates are limited atm due to COVID 19 and was planning to go to do the Scotland 500 but I was unable to get cover from work. I called JJ's the day before to ask if it was possible to reschedule my MOD 1 test, I was told that would be fine, my DAS session would be used for the rebooked test and I would need to repay the test fee only. I rebooked my test for the 28th of September, however, there was some miscommunication and I was actually only booked in provisionally. These things happen. I'd thought payment had been taken but it hadn't. I would have hoped that the booking office would have called to double check if I wanted the test or to complete payment. I was happy to rebook for October because I really need my licence and was planning to booking another DAS session to do the MOD 2 test. They took payment over the phone, I checked my account and realised that I had been charged £155, not just the test fee. When I called back about this, I was met with hostility and was told JJ's didn't want to deal with customers like me. The gentleman asked me what would happen if someone needed their skydive. Would they refunded? No they wouldn't BUT they can book for a different day without having to pay for the skydive twice. I was told I would only have to repay the test fee. JJ's refunded me but I have lost £155 from the test I booked on the 20th August and my two previous sessions are now a waste of time and money. For £140 for a 4 hour session to practice for my MOD 1 I was riding with someone else so you're actually paying for shared time and I only got to complete the practice once through because more time had to be spent paying attention to the other student who had less experience that me. How is this value for money. I love being part of the biking community because everybody has each other's backs but JJ's just seem to want to take advantage of people that want to learn. They wanted me to sign up and take the full DAS course, offered me lessons for £900 despite being on the road for over 10 years. I've already spent £455 with them for 3 sessions and they haven't helped me achieve anything.

Fantastic experience: Jim’s tuition is absolutely second to none. His knowledge and patience guiding you through the process is first class. From start to finish I found the experience both enjoyable and professional. The equipment ie helmets, clothes and bikes were immaculate and the environment for the CBT was spotless. Once you’re out in the open road, that’s where the fun really starts and before long you’ll be sailing through your Mod 1 & 2. Jim brings out your inner confidence and this is reflected in his outstanding pass rate. Thanks Jim mate.

Fantastic experience: This was a tuition masterclass: after an initial test ride to gauge my skill level, Jim delivered a perfectly tailored set of classes to suit my riding and learning style. I had done my CBT elsewhere but felt a more personalised style of tuition would be needed to overcome a lack of confidence I felt in certain aspects of my riding in order to pass the full A-class test. This was exactly what I got, and more: all sorts of tips and tricks that made all the difference for both modules (thank you Baz for the module 1 support!). I can thoroughly recommend JJ's Motorcycle to anybody who is genuinely interested in reaching a high standard of riding and safety: I doubt you will find better elsewhere. And yes, I did pass both modules first time round.

My instructor was highly experienced, and thanks to him I walked away feeling very comfortable and safe on the road after passing my test first time. Highly recommended to anyone considering to do their CBT or full Motorbike Licence.
