Fantastic experience: Did my CBT with Steve today (and passed ) and it was great from start to finish. Put at ease from the start, they have a great facility in the perimeter road of the airfield. Riding around the airfield ensured you were confident before going on the road for the first time. I’ve ridden off road but being able to build confidence like this was a great positive rather than just going in circles in a car park. Very knowledgeable and down to earth, happy to answer any questions, I was made to feel safe and at ease before heading out onto the road. I felt comfortable enough that it felt like just going for a ride. (After the first five minutes anyway ) He made sure we were in contact all the time and knew where to go. The route was a decent mix of typical rural Cornish roads and slightly bigger. All in all a fantastic day, will recommend far and wide! Will be booking in the future for direct access one day. Fantastic experience: Had my CBT with Steve today and he was an absolute lad, very very good at explaining things, had great patience and some cracking stories too, Chris was great on the emails even fulfilling my request to be bumped forward if a space cleared up. The equipment provided was of good quality with every size imaginable (even upto my height at 6'5") and the bike fleet was even better I personally used a Honda PCX and the chap I was training with was on a Honda CB125R both great bikes, under Steve's guidance we both passed and I personally had a great time. Would highly recommend if you're in the area and want an A1/A2 license. With Steve's patience and expertise the only way you could fail your CBT there is if you simply weren't ready!!

Fantastic experience: Imagine the best thing since slice bread...that is North Coast Motorcycle Training. The impeccable Chris and the Dynamic Steve. If you want and most assuredly need help (because I did!) along the way to getting your full licence come here. Fantastic experience: Took my Daughter there to do her CBT course,the guy there was very patient and knows his stuff. I have no problem recommending this place for those wishing to learn to ride a motorcycle. Oh my daughter passed.

Positive experience: I completed my CBT and A2 license here a while ago. Steve is not the most friendly and a bit blunt. However, useful tips were given and some of my mistakes were pointed out. However, I did get the impression that he tried to cut training short when he could. Furthermore, all the bikes were in a rough condition, with snapped levers making important fine controls difficult.

Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend this company enough! Communication from Chris was fab and she kept me well informed, Steve was a great instructor, he was honest with me but patient too. I passed both my Mods 1st time with Steve, after taking my CBT at another school, I felt really uncomfortable with the comments made towards me (being a woman) throughout the whole thing. Didnt have this issue with Steve, he treated me and my fellow male student exactly the same, he is all about the training and making sure you're a safe rider. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: First class training . I went to gain slow riding skills and Steve managed to sort out my issues in a 2 hour session through tailoring the training to suit my lack of tiding skills here where other places have failed misserably. Can't rate this place high enough.

Fantastic experience: I did a return to biking refresher session after finally deciding I wanted to ride again after 20 years. Steve was brilliant, got me straight out around the airfield then on to the roads. I loved it, so much that when I finished I went straight to the bike shop and bought the bike I wanted and so far I've loved racking up the miles on it! Both Steve and Chris are brilliant and I can't recommend them enough. If you're thinking about riding again or just starting to ride then these guys will get you where you want to be. Amazing. Fantastic experience: This place is rare.. Let me explain. You have stunning views. A metal box in the middle of nowhere with no toilet and your surrounded by tyres and low flying aircraft. Steve is old school so dont be turning up just outta nappies wanting to kill yourself as this does happen. Be understanding he is doing this every day in all weathers. Listen observe and don't be a ego basher. His training is direct with a dash of humour along the way. I like Steve. His partner is proffesional in handling the emails. And his timekeeping is good. I will miss the banter. Oh and bmw or audi drivers are not welcome.

Right from my CBT through to my DAS the guys have been absolutely amazing. I've been riding around on 125cc bikes with cbt licences for many years and decided to take the plunge into a full licence and im really happy i did it with you guys. To pass first time was everything to me and I can't thank you both enough. I'm already wanting to come back to do the adventure off road riding as that's now the next step of my journey to have the adventure of riding around the world. Fantastic experience: Absolutely second to non! I went from never riding a bike to passing my CBT 1st . Then onto my MOD 1 & MOD 2 both passed 1st time . Steve is so professional and patient. He fills you with confidence along with being honest. When ever I had a wobble moment ( and we all get them ) he would take me for a ride around the airfield to help me over come it . Very early on Steve told me I was ready for my CBT & MOD 1&2 But he respected the fact I wanted to train more with him . At the airfield you will be riding on gravel pot holes and when it rains it really rains up there , but it sets you for being a good rider repecting all condutions . So all in all if I had to do it all again it would be with Steve at Northcoast . Thank you Steve

Negative experience: DONT WASTE YOUR TIME,MONEY OR EFFORT! Experienced a very unprofessional and obnoxious service from steve, im unsure why he was so rude and discriminative against me, it was quite upsetting to be honest! Telling me i shouldn't have passed the Second i passed my mod1 Training Bikes were knackered and full of faults, one actually died on me during training, leaving me sharing a bike with another trainee with brakes that werent even bedded in properly! ( luckily i completed my mod2 training and exam elswehere with flying colours) as i believe that if i was to have done it with northcoast i would have failed due to the poor training methods it is clear to me now why i should have listened to others when advised against this company. Not shocked at all that the company has the lowest pass rate around!! Wish i knew this before Hand!! Avoid like the plague

Fantastic experience: What can i say, fantastic tuition , i had never ridden a motorbike before ,I had a one hour session with Steve, then I took my CBT the following week with Paul and Steve and loved every second of it. I have now passed my theory test and look forward to taking the DAS course with these great guys after getting some mileage behind me, also took my 15 year old son for a session he had a great time as was made to feel confident in what he was doing. Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic, I would give more stars if it was possible. Steve and Dave had so much patience with me, I was a complete novice and they taught me how to ride a bike step by step and then through the CBT day as well. I started the first lesson chewing my lip and feeling a bit anxious but at the end of every lesson I was grinning from ear to ear and feeling very happy with my progress. For anyone who has ever wanted to try and is a little nervous as I was then I would highly recommend you give them a call and book a slot.

Fantastic experience: Great set of instructors very thorough with but CBT and DAS training, had been though multiple CBT's with other training centres and came away from training with a greater knowledge of road safety and how to protect myself whilst riding. Also completed my A2 licence with brilliant instruction and training in all areas.

Fantastic experience: Did my CBT on a 125cc with these guys! Having only ever ridden twist n go's I did a 2 hour pre-CBT lesson the weekend prior and starting from scratch was riding around like Steve Mcqueen (in my head ) in only 2 hours! Couldn't fault Chris as an instructor, Fantastic ability to inspire confidence in you whilst ever impressing the importance of safe and, what I now know to be, defensive riding. No such thing as a silly question or mistake and full, patient and insightful answers given everytime learnt a huge amount from Chris and left feeling confident on a solid foundation and am now happily cruising around on my beautiful little Honda cg! If you're thinking about getting into riding or want to give it a try, look no further! I will be back to do my Mod 1 ! ️️️

Fantastic experience: I finally got through my Mod 2 today thanks to Steve and Chris. It's been a real rollercoaster. Steve actually failed me on the CBT 6 months ago. It's a good job he did because I was definitely not ready to ride a 125 on the road. He has kept me alive. He converted my automatic bike experience to manual once I got through my cbt, trained me on DAS and got me through mod 1 and his minimalistic easy going approach has helped me combat my nemesis (confidence in myself!) and got me through my Mod 2 and riding a big bike legally with confidence today. Steve even let me ride his cb500 home!! Cant thank you guys enough!!!

From teaching me to ride a 125 in December, reassuring me, being patient and understanding of my severe anxiety and nerve issues, to seeing me through my mod 1 last week and mod 2 this week, they are the most wonderful training school you could wish for! I wouldn't think twice about sending my 3 daughters or my autistic son to learn to ride with them! Fantastic experience: I couldn't recommend these guys any more. They really are amazing. I went on their DAS course. Great setup for learning all Mod 1 elements of the test. The layout is exactly the same as the one down at the test centre so by the time it comes to your test you feel so much more confident. Went out on some rides which made me realise how much I take living down in Cornwall for granted. They could always add motorbike tours to the business as Steve is so knowledgable and some of the areas we covered are breathtaking. A big Thank you to Chris for being so kind and supportive. I only wish I had done my CBT with them too!

Steve is calm and approaches training in a logical way, breaking it down to the key points you need to know and remember. I chose North Coast training because I felt I would get the attention the larger companies would not afford and feel I definitely made the right choice. Cannot recommend them enough.

Fantastic experience: 5 stars to Steve and co. at North Coast for their help and training. I can't thank them all enough. I don't normally bother with reviews but as I chose North Coast Training based on the google reviews already online, I thought I should add my experience at the end of it. I actually checked out all the local instructors on google and found the North Coast reviews were all excellent, where as Damarell's (local dealer and training provider) was hit and miss. That was also my personal experience in the Damarells' shop where I enquired about a bike and was advised they do training as well. I found their staff generally unhelpful and rude. I've nipped into their shop a couple of times after this and had the same experience. I won't go back. So, that's why I searched for instructors and how I found North Coast Training. All the reviews were excellent. I did my CBT with Steve, the main instructor, and Adam, an additional instructor who does CBT training on their busier days. I was quite nervous getting on the bike first time if I'm honest. I'm 43 and originally did my CBT in my 20's in a busy city in rush hour traffic. I didn't really like the instructor and found it was all rushed and not thorough. After stalling a bike on a 3 lane roundabout in rush hour traffic it wasn't a great experience. It was a kick-start old bike and it wouldn't start. Wheeling a bike over 3 lanes of moving traffic isn't easy. Half way through my DAS course I quit. I just wasn't enjoying it and I wasn't comfortable on a 650 bike. I think it's been bugging me ever since if I'm honest and I finally decided I'm missing out on biking and need to have another crack at this. So, 20 years on and I'm 43 and I want to give my CBT a go to see if I love it or hate it. Well...I absolutely bloody loved it. From the first minute of my CBT on a 125 in first gear doing circles on the aerodrome; all the way through to passing my Mod 2 full test on the 650 and going home to hop on my brand new ninja. It was all great fun and stress free to be honest. Sure there are a few nerves running during your test but it wasn't too bad at all. That was purely down to how Steve, and Adam, teach. Particularly Steve as I've spent more time with him through my DAS course than with Adam. I only worked with Adam for half a day on the CBT but I also got on with him really well and thought his teaching was also spot on. I like the fact Steve is a really calm and relaxed guy and has lots of patience. It put me at ease right away. I also like the fact you get told enough information needed to learn a technique or skill at the time, and no more. It's so easy to be overloaded with info you can't take in at the time. It was pitched just right for me. I've had loads of instructors in sports as I've competed in different sports since I was 5. Some are good, some not so good. Steve and Adam are in the good section for sure. I passed the CBT, theory, Mod 1 and Mod 2 first time without any problems. I think that is testament to the training I got. It's been great fun along the way and I'd recommend anyone to use North Coast to learn to ride a bike and pass your test. They also gave me some top advice which made a massive difference for me....after passing your CBT, buy a cheap 125cc bike and ride it for at least 1000 miles before going for your full test/DAS course). I did 1600 miles over two months and it made a huge difference. I would have done my DAS sooner but Steve was so booked up well in advance. So I'd book in early to get the dates you want. Finally, a big shout out to Chris, who I presume is Steve's wife and does all the bookings etc. She was very helpful and friendly. Behind every great man is....... So...there we have it. This is why I don't write reviews - because I can't bloody shut up. I just wanted to give people some detailed info about my experience with North Coast Training. Biking's the source man. Change your life ! Swear to god !

Fantastic experience: Best place to go! Highly recommend this company to take your cbt/mod1/mod2 with or just having a lesson to refresh your riding skills. Steve is very patient and calm and explains everything clearly. Chris is very organised and quick to reply. All in all an excellent, professional team :-)

Negative experience: Not impressed with the service at all. Steve was not forth coming. Been riding since i was 14 and he said that was a bad thing! Yes it may have been motocross but at least I'm not a total novice from the word go he said that did me no favours. Not very forth coming from there onwards. Booked with dameralls and totally different. My advice. It may take longer with dameralls but worth the wait. I paid £250 for what was a C.B.T and a failed test and as I put my foot down (althoughh my fault a guy did the same before me and passed!!) In my experience with dameralls although it may be a longer wait it's worth it money wise. Best of luck

Fantastic experience: Steve was a most pleasant and efficient instructor, he was easy to listen to and explained things very well. I couldn't have asked for a better instructor and everything that had to be covered was covered. It was such a contrast from my last experience of a CBT with a different training company, where I just sat there for most of the time as the instructor said I didn't need to complete certain sections of the training.

Fantastic experience: I did my CBT yesterday and found NCMT's trainer totally professional: targeted the course to the skills of the candidates, coached and mentored as appropriate, had a safety-conscious but totally approachable demeanour. I'll definitely do any subsequent tests with them. I doubt anyone does it better.

Fantastic experience: Direct access training. I can highly recommend this superb team. Steve is a great instructor; passionate, patient, knowledgeable and good humoured. He has a very good understanding of what's required to pass the Motorcycle test and what the individual needs to concentrate on. Chris is on the admin side, she sorts out the training dates and slots for your test. Her organisation is superb and although we had difficult challenges with the weather, Chris dealt with everything professionally and with ease.

Fantastic experience: With my CBT due to expire in 2/12, I asked NCMT for help in preparing for the unrestricted Direct Access test. Steve's (the instructors) calm and encouraging manner made the transition from a 125cc to a 650cc machine less of a challenge than I had anticipated, and the lessons were always informative and fun. The bikes were well maintained, the protective gear comfortable, and the Mod 1 training site rather special being situated at the end of the Perranporth Airfields principle runway, with fantastic views over the nearby cliffs. Administrative queries were always dealt with in a prompt and pleasant manner by Chris, who handles the administrative side, with care taken to fit the training and tests around my other commitments. Of course I am delighted to have passed, and would wholeheartedly recommend North Coast Motorcycle Training, for their care and expertise.

Fantastic experience: As an older man coming back into motorcycling after a long time without a motorbike I couldn't have picked a better company than North Coast. Steve was a pleasure to be with, very calm and organised and always with a positive comment which carries a lot more weight than any negative criticisms that some people tend to provide. The 'one to one' training suited me well as you get all the attention for yourself which makes for a more concentrated learning experience which in turn makes for a faster progression towards the end result. In the three days of training I learnt so much and it gave me the confidence to pass my Mod 1 and Mod 2 and now I have back the freedom that I have missed for so long. Thank you North Coast for providing a great service.

Fantastic experience: I resat my CBT - after it expired - at North Coast Motorcycle Training with Steve and had a fantastic day. I had only ridden my bike once in almost a year so I was nervous and unsure, but I was supported, reassured and praised throughout the day. I was given the right amount of attention and then time to practice on my own. I had a full learning experience... from carpark practice manuvers to classroom theory and safety, to riding along Northcliffs and through busy Redruth. I honestly can't rate Steve and Chris at North Coast Motorcycle Training highly enough. Thank you both! See you again for my Direct Access!
