Negative experience: Obsolute joke of a company, I'd give it 0 stars if I could, I've tried calling numerous times to just be talking to a voicemail and when they finally answer they tell me to call back Monday to book in for my CBT, then after calling all day to then find out today that they've given my slot away, absolute joke will never be using these and if you appreciate your time I wouldn't waste it on this joke of a company if I was you.

Fantastic experience: Completed my CBT with Susi from this school on Saturday. She was absolutely brilliant all day. Patient, calming and funny. She really made the day enjoyable and one to remember. I will definitely be returning to Susi for my DAS. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Good food good company.. robs a nice bloke. But a southerner.. but he's ok as long as you can shut him up after 10 minutes. He does a great burger and fries. His sausage is small. But when he smiles it gets a tad bigger. The people who come here are all great folk.

Negative experience: BEFORE SIGNING UP- CHECK THE SMALL PRINT!!! I am disgusted how this company treated my partner. As a barely 5ft tall, 60 year old lady who hadn’t ridden a motorcycle before, it wasn’t out of the question that there could be the odd mishap during her compulsory basic training on the bike she was allocated, a manual transmission 125cc machine weighing close to double her body weight. For this reason we paid the additional “collision waiver” insurance premium to protect against charges for any damage should she drop the bike. That was a good decision as she had a wobble during practice of the “controlled stop” and did drop the bike. Something that must happen fairly frequently with first time riders, so it’s not unreasonable to expect the bikes to be fitted with simple, effective and appropriate protection against damage….such as foldable levers or just basic guards! The bike she was allocated wasn’t, and as a result, the end of the clutch lever took the impact of the drop, and snapped. At this point the instructor terminated the training, made her sign a form to confirm that it was all her fault and told her she would have to pay again to re do the training…..no consideration was given of sourcing an alternative machine, or even of taking turns on the machine being used by the other candidate training that day….. my partner’s daughter! whose training and additional insurance we had also paid for! When we queried his decision, we were told quite brusquely to “read the terms and conditions!” and that, “you’ll only get the same answer!” when I suggested that I’d ring the office to speak with them. I did ring the office and didn’t get any answer, just a promise from the receptionist that the boss would call me back the following day- of course he didn’t (what a surprise). I rang again a day later and left a polite voicemail requesting a call back, again no response. So, behind the rose tinted reviews of those who’ve just passed a test, there is the truth. Once they’ve got your cash, they’re not bothered, because If ANYTHING goes wrong, it’ll be on YOU. As we were so rudely reminded READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS!!…… “CBT & DAS Motorcycle Training LTD cannot accept responsibility for any cancellation of training on the part of the instructor due to family tragedy, illness, injury, adverse weather, mechanical breakdown or tests cancelled by the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). In such circumstances alternative dates for training/test will be provided, any training undertaken will be classed as complete. Any alternative training required for cancelled tests will need to be paid for.”

Positive experience: The blokes running the course do what's needed and can't fault them. The back office which is run offside however we're shocking! The booking system is basic and you can't get a hold of anyone. I think a member of staff was leaving when we tried to call. Had to turn up on the day and hope for the best. Luckily the bloke was sound

Fantastic experience: Did my CBT with Susi and had a great time. I went in with zero riding experience and she was very patient and understanding, and helped build my confidence and skills. I had lots of fun during the time we spent out on the road and it felt very rewarding receiving my certificate at the end. As a testament to Susi's ability, one of the riders on my CBT was autistic and Susi did a fantastic job teaching him, helping him become a safe rider on the roads and pass his CBT. I couldn't recommend Susi and CBT & DAS enough; if you're unsure about whether or not biking is for you, get the CBT booked here as you'll have a fantastic time.

Negative experience: Disappointing MOD 1 training. Sent an email detailing my disappointing experience and did not receive any acknowledgement at all. £400 wasted.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing experience, first of all the instructor Simon and the security/management person Dwayne, super friendly people. Before I did my cbt I was so worried and then Simon helped boost my confidence and I was able to ride the bike quite easily, I went from never riding a bike to being able to ride a 125cc in the space of 6 hours, I would definitely recommend going here, and will be coming back to renew my cbt for sure. Friendly staff, amazing instructors and overall the place is amazing

Fantastic experience: Had my CBT today, it was a blast! I had trouble learning the gears but they put me on an automatic bike and it was smooth riding. I'll be going back for an extra lesson here on clutch control as the instructors (Kate) is a down to earth instructor and rider who'll tell you what you need to know, and get straight to the point. The route Kate had planned was a nice route, just a tip, take a water bottle or camelback out with you as today it was >20 degrees< and with the weather being consistently hot you'll want to stay hydrated. Apart from an error on my part, this is an amazing testing school, and I wouldn't/couldn't imagine going elsewhere. Many thanks. David.

Fantastic experience: Not sat on a bike in 20+ years. Met H and discussed the steps to Full licence. Passed my CBT yesterday. H clearly has years of experience and knowledge and is very patient, concise and adaptable in imparting that knowledge to the individual (me) in a way that gets the best response. Although he makes it clear riding bikes is serious business, when appropriate there is fun along the way. If you’ve been thinking about CBT/DAS drop in and see H, I’m sure you’ll receive the same warm welcome from him and his team as I did!.

Fantastic experience: Just started retraining for my full bike licence with H and the guys after 20+ year's of not riding and the guy's make it very relaxed and enjoyable there a great friendly bunch of people who truly believe that everyone has the right to ride and work hard to help you to do it

Fantastic experience: A thoroughly enjoyable experience doing my CBT with these guys. Very friendly and down to earth. H is a real character, immediately sets you at ease ready for your session ahead. Moonie is such a genuine guy, he was my instructor for the day. Explains everything perfectly and completely open to questions. His whole goal is the safety of you and every other road user around you. On the day I did my CBT the weather/temperature was freezing! The way Moonie delivers the session, the conditions are there but seem to be in the background. Even given the conditions, the session gave me nothing but confidence and lead to me completing my geared CBT. I am also progressing forward with H and his team to complete the DAS to achieve my Mod2 ultimately. If you're looking for a genuine riding school, look no further. Fantastic experience: Just completed my CBT and DAS in a month, first time. This is the place to learn! Breaking manoeuvres and techniques into bite sized chunks, meant learning was a lot easier than being bombarded with orders. Great banter, its like being out with your mate, but strict enough so you know yourself, when you've made a mistake. Can't wait to begin the learning curve of bike life, I will be back for an advanced course in the new (They even make a good brew which is a bonus ) Cannot recommend them enough.

Fantastic experience: Just taken my CBT with these great guys. Had a brilliant day, our instructor, Moonie, was fab I was bit hesitant at first and didn't quite get some manoeuvres quite right first time but he stuck with me and encouraged me all the way. Which was extremely helpful as it calmed me down massively and built up my confidence. The weather was horrendous for our road practice but we did it (came back soaked) and was great fun. Really enjoyed it all way round, it flew by too, thought had been on road for about half hour but instructor told us had been out over an hour. Would highly recommend these guys.

Fantastic experience: If I could give more stars I would,absolutely fantastic training, the serious parts are there, but with a bit of fun thrown in and some good advice on helmets and jackets,etc, found that really helpful as well as the bike maintenance part,all the staff were friendly and encouraging,professional yet approachable good price for the CBT as well. Special mention to 'moonie' my instructor for the day,patience of a saint a fantastic asset to the company, really good instructor and shows in his experience imagine the scene you've stalled your bike for the 15th time in 5 minutes,he walks over says a few words of encouragement and try it this way and I'm ready for the road ride....Thankyou Moonie for getting me through my CBT test,will certainly be doing my next step up from CBT with cbt & das.

Fantastic experience: .on arival staff was verry freindly & made sure i was well looked after i was out on the pad everything was fairly simple lots of fun manoeuvres. after that i had a quick tea break and lunch then took to the road with a fully qualified instructer i felt verry comfertable i would deffinatly recomend this to anyone wanting to learn how to properly ride a moterbike this is the place to go verry profesionel loved every second thanks guys
