Fantastic experience: I stumbled upon LMT through a Google search and I absolutely love the place. I was EXTREMELY worried about doing my CBT but from the minute I got in the door both Joe Jnr and Mark were so cool, calm and professional. I am continuing my lessons and I can't tell you the level of patience that Joe Jnr has with me as I am a bit of a pudding. He is like an 8ft tall walking, talking valium that calms you down instantly and can pick up 200kg bikes like they are handbags. On another note, the community spirit of the place is amazing! Will highly recommend LMT to absolutely anyone I hear mentioning motorbikes!

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of sitting my CBT then moving straight on to my full unrestricted license with Joe from LMT. Fantastic experience: I started lessons last year with one school but didn't like really click there. Switched to Lothian Motorcycle Training, Bathgate, this year and can't recommend them highly enough. Joe Jnr gave me more instruction in 2 hours than I'd had in 3 lessons previously. I don't know where he gets the energy to talk for 2 hours all day. I chose to do my A2 licence and Joe has a Z400 for this. I don't know anywhere else that offers A2 bikes in this area. It was perfect for me.. I have quite severe exam anxiety but Joe gave me so much confidence and was extremely patient with all my ups and downs. So if anyone looking for first class instruction, especially the smaller folks or ladies that might prefer a smaller bike .. Joe is worth travelling for.

Despite being really nervous and not really sure if I was ready to move onto a bike the minute I got out and was on the road I loved it! Fantastic experience: I contacted Joe at lmt after being let down and messed about with another training provider, I was sorted quickly and appropriately for my progressive access to A licence. I had been ridding for 3 years on my a2 licence and Joe jr was able to provide me with the correct focused training I required to progress. Honestly the best experience I've had, from the first phone call, CBT, MOD1 training and test, MOD2 training and test to a successful outcome. These guys are fantastic. Fantastic experience: LMT ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Done my CBT here in July 2023 after getting some experience myself. I felt confident enough to get my DAS done, training was great Joe is a fantastic instructor, straightforward very helpful and he wants you to pass unlike a lot of training schools out there, I can’t fault him in anyway at all he’s constantly in your ear when your out on the road… when I’m out myself on my own bike I can still hear him telling me to do my checks constantly .. After theory, training and mod1 was out the way I passed my mod 2 on the 21 December 23 with no faults buzzing was an understatement. Thank you Joe for the help and support along the way! LMT I would 100% recommend to anyone if your doing CBT, DAS or you’ve never been on a bike in your life LMT will definitely get you to where you want to be 100%

Fantastic experience: Big Joe had his work cut out teaching me to ride but he took it in his stride with his trademark "No dramas" approach to the job in hand. Most folk are delighted to have passed their test but for me what Joe did was more than just teach me to pass. He accepted the particular hurdles I presented, with dignity, compassion and respect and encouraged a high level of individual development in me and of course all of his students. Fantastic experience: Did DAS course with LMT and would recommend them to anyone looking to learn to ride. Both Joe Jnr and Snr are excellent at what they do and make you feel confident and comfortable at all times. Joe Jnr was brilliant at explaining things during lessons and dealing with problems in a friendly way. His knowledge and experience are really evident during training. He makes sure you understand why the bike is behaving certain ways so you know how to properly correct in future. I travelled through to Bathgate for my training from Cumbernauld on a friends recommendation and I’m delighted I did. Everything was run smoothly, on time and as promised. Honestly, buzzing with the results and grateful to LMT.

Fantastic experience: Joe took me from never having touched a bike in my life to getting my A2 license. Not only do they teach you the necessary steps to getting your license but they also teach you how to be a better rider, setting you up well for the future. Fantastic experience: I used LMT 2 years ago for my CBT. Joe Jr was very helpful and understanding meaning I passed first time with no issues. Fast forward 2 years and I've just passed my mod 1 and 2 after doing all my lessons with LMT. I can't thank them enough for never giving up on me. Both father and son were very efficient and made me feel confident in my riding abilities. They were unbelievably accommodating to my schedule and nothing ever seemed like a chore for either of them. Fantastic experience: I've done my cbt and A2 with Joe and can safely say he's an excellent teacher and would highly recommend L.M.T to anyone. Lessons bring you up to a high standard at a good pace. The 2 Joe's make it a relaxed and safe environment for learning how to ride both 125ccs and up. Definitely going back to get my full licence when the time comes.

Fantastic experience: I initially started my DAS rider training around 2018 but after failing my Mod 1 test, I decided it wasn't for me. I got the itch again in late 2022 and decided to give it another go in 2023. I did my research and after a long chat with Joe Snr, I decided to put my trust in LMT and I'm 100% glad I did. The instruction and support I received from Joe Jnr was outstanding and far surpassed my expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend LMT to anyone thinking about starting rider training.

Fantastic experience: I completed the CBT and direct access course with LMT at the beginning of 2023 and had a fantastic time. The instructor Joe is beyond knowledgeable in his craft and the level of tuition that he provides is outstanding. I felt prepared and confident going into both modules, I was successful first time in both tests which can only be credited to the quality of the school. If you’re looking to get onto two wheels LMT are the guys for the job.

Fantastic experience: LMT are a family run business. I found them very personal and professional and Joe and his dad offer a first class service taking pride in maintaining their high pass rates. The quality of training provided by Joe Junior was excellent with delivery tailored to meet ones individual needs. A thoroughly enjoyable experience having passed my Mod 1 & Mod 2 first time. Fantastic experience: After starting my DAS training with another school, things weren't adding up about thier methods so I switched to L.M.T. and after my first lesson there I realised I had found myself at a real training outfit. The instruction at first was full, on as Joe gives a constant stream of commands and advice. But after you settle into it, you realise that this is real teaching and session by session your skill and understanding rockets. Meeting other riders and witnessing the amount of trainees passing weekly with these guys says it all. I can't thank Joe or his dad enough, thier success is down to their day in day out effort and belief in thier students. I'm already out and about on a large bike and every now and then I can hear Joes instruction in my head still when I'm not riding to my best ability !!!

Negative experience: Can't even be bothered answering the phone to potential customers. 3 times I've now phoned this place, and call was ignored. Oh well, I'll take my business elsewhere

All the guys are very understanding and patient and helped me go from starting my big bike lessons in April to passing both my mod 1 and mod 2 first time just last week. If you are looking to get on a bike whether cbt or big bike licence, these are the guys you need!

Fantastic experience: I have recently passed my full A licence test. Mr. Joe was very professional and knowledgeable and his training sessional helped me to pass all my test in the first attempt itself. The most useful thing I felt at LMT was they would arrange a practice MOT 1 test at the Livingston test centre, and you would go through the exact test practice lessons prior to your actual test. Also, they will take you the exact test route so that you will be familiar with the areas and signals. I would highly recommend LMT

Fantastic experience: Brilliant training and experience was amazing throughout. Ended up failing Mod 1 first time as lack of sleep and couldn't resit for a while, ended up getting another date and passed. LMT was extremely understanding and refunded me my Mod 2 costs straight away. Could not recommend enough, really laid back with emphasis on learning how to ride a bike properly not just how to pass a test! Thanks again

Fantastic experience: Great place to learn, not only how to ride a bike but to love riding bikes. Joe and Joe Sr. Are by far the most professional, friendly and amazing at teaching. Whatever got you into Motorcycles, these guys are a wealth of information and experienced in evrey bike possible. The only place to learn how to ride moterbikes.

Fantastic experience: Great, family ran training school with tons of experience. Both Joe and Joe Senior helped me get my full A license via DAS with zero prior experience. Professional, fun, patient approach with training plan tailored to each individual. Could not recommend LMT enough to anyone thinking about getting their license. I wish them all the best.

Fantastic experience: Where to start, Joe & Joe Sr and their whole family have just been the best. They love bikes and riding thats the bottom line. They will try their hardest to make sure you pass. If anyone is considering going for any bike lesson or their full bike license this should be your first and only choice. They are patient and understanding, the most professional motorcycle training I have ever had. I can certainly see why this place has such a high pass rate, Joe and Joe Sr are the best thats why. I have became good friends with Joe and the whole family are such nice people to be around and learn from. If you want learn how to ride then get in touch with these guys, I would give 6 stars if possible.
