Fantastic experience: Completed my CBT with Moonie today, an absolutely amazing coach had a great group as well, lovely people. If you’re a female like me and worried about this being intimidating I promise you it is far from that and you will be in good hands. Moonie is an awesome teacher and makes sure you are safe, great laugh such an amazing experience and passed as a first time rider I couldn’t be happier!

Fantastic experience: I did my cbt test with them the instructions was very well explained and I understood everything I needed to learn the route was steady and calming and I had gotten booked in very fast and easy.

Negative experience: Upon arrival to reception. A reek of alcohol was coming out of the building and the receptionist did not look all there. The way I came is the way I went back. Stay away at all costs. Will be reporting to trading standards. I almost called the police.

Negative experience: Avoid if you’re a beginner. After the road accident I had during CBT the only things they cared about were to get their bike back to the centre (although it was unsafe to ride it and they still made me do it) and to book me in again and take ££.

Fantastic experience: After failing my test with a previous training school, partly down to my nerves but also lack of proper lessons and preparation, Gary pick me back up, dusted me off and 100% got me ready to take my test making me a safe, competent and confident rider, can’t thank him enough. He tells you straight if you’re doing something wrong but also lets you know when you’re doing good, he built my confidence back up and I smashed my test today with a clean sheet !

Fantastic experience: really sound instructor, teaches you everything you need to know about the bikes and how to be safe when on the road, as well as firm criticism when riding so that you can develop with your riding.

Fantastic experience: Recently passed my A2 licence with Wilson’s Rother Ride, every lesson I felt more confident and by the time I got to each test I felt ready and prepared. Passed each one first time. Great group of teachers, very well informed and a very enjoyable and fun time. Looked forward to every lesson and I will definitely be going back to do further training when it comes to doing my full licence. Will be weird riding without Garry or Nick yapping in my ears through intercoms.

Fantastic experience: Completed my CBT today with Moonie – lovely supportive instructor, and we dropped on a rare day with gorgeous weather. Started with 3 of us, unfortunately one gent wasn’t ready for road riding so didn’t join us for the afternoon (honestly, a correct call by the instructor). I hadn’t ridden for 7-8 years, surprising how easily it all came back, and after dinner we had a nice relaxed ride to J&S Doncaster for a coffee, then back to the centre. A couple of small bad habits I know I want to work on out on my own bike, but I’ll definitely be coming back in 6 months or so to finally get on with that big-bike test! Definitely recommend other ladies come here – some places can be a bit intimidating, but these guys really made an effort.

Negative experience: Not sure how did this place manage to get 5/5 rating - went there for a free trial today. The school is located in a porta-cabin, a woman behind a desk who seemed like she didn't want to be there and a guy in a corner who didn't even bother to answer to hello - thought he was drunk. Later on I found out he was actually the instructor. Never been on a motorbike before so I was a bit nervous and at the end of the trail I stopped the engine via the kill switch - the so called instructor gave me an ugly look and shouted at me: why did you touch that switch. When all was over, I was told it's going to cost me £1600 to get my motorbike license. I must give them credit for the free trial but all in all a horrid experience.

Fantastic experience: Did my CBT with them and it was fantastic. I traveled the whole way from Liverpool as I was looking for somewhere that had availability last minute and had high reviews. Wilson’s was not only incredible at teaching but their instructors, were also very welcoming, friendly and funny. I can’t recommend them enough!!!!

Fantastic experience: I have just completed my CBT with the lovely people at Wilson's Rother Ride, and can recommend them highly to anyone considering taking their CBT. Mine lasted around seven hours, with a short break for lunch. The morning was split into two parts, in the classroom for the 1st part our instructor, Moonie, told us what the day ahead would consist of, before explaining all about the different safety gear, all the legal requirements, and answering any questions we had. For the 2nd part of the morning we were out on the tarmac behind the office. Here we were taught all the controls and were guided through all the basics. Once confident we taken through all the required motorcycle control drills, covering aspects of riding we would expect to encounter in the afternoon's road ride. You have to be safe on a bike at this point, and able to follow verbal instructions, this a requirement. If you don't cut the mustard then it's an early bath for you. After lunch was exciting part, out on the open road with the voice of your eagle eyed instructor giving you directions, shadowing you to keep you safe from idiots on your 1st time on the road. We were out on a mixture of A & B roads, through villages and countryside, eventually making our way to J&S in Doncaster for a coffee stop. On the way back to the office the instructor gives you the opportunity to ride with only directional guidance, expecting you to safely tackle junctions without prompting. Only willing to step in if safety would be compromised. Once back at the office you will find out if you have passed or failed, if you have passed you will get your certificate there and then. Massive thanks to Moonie who took me through the course, a fantastic instructor.

Fantastic experience: Passed CBT at end of June here, Moonie was very clear with information, very patient, he ensured that we were ready to go out onto the roads and after being slightly nervous had a really enjoyable day . Thankyou

Fantastic experience: Did my CBT with Moonie (still no wiser as to why he has that nickname but have my ideas) anyways back to the review. I went into the day nervous as hell because I had a car license and knew I was going to have to rewrite my way of driving for being on a bike. The day started great despite the rain not knowing what it wanted to do, we made sure gear and everyday lessons to do with how a bike works and how to be safe on the road. Answered some straight forward questions and Moonie always gave us the correct answers if we didn't know. I was training for the first time on a 125 manual bike so was fully instructed what everything meant on the bike and how it works. A couple of stalls at the beginning while I trained my brain again and I was away on the training space. He never once got annoyed with any mistake made and always answered any questions again even if he had to repeat himself. By the time afternoon came we were on the road and I felt like I could do the tt track (that's just my brain pretending) but on a serious note from being nervous in the morning to fully driving a bike with gears at 60mph is not just because I listened but because of the amazing guy that trains you to be that confident. I wasn't going to go any further than a cbt but thanks to moonie I'm considering going for a full motorcycle license in the near future. Thanks everyone for the best support and training.

Fantastic experience: Completed my CBT course here yesterday and wanted to thank Shane and Lee for being great trainers. Having never been on the road (motorcycle or car), they really put me at ease and gave me the confidence to get out there. Really enjoyed the day and hope to be back someday soon to complete my test. Fantastic experience: If you want to learn to ride a motorbike, I wouldn’t bother looking anywhere else. The team at RotherRide are an all round great group of people & I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to any of my family or friends. Whether it’s for a CBT, Moony was brilliant & the day with him was enjoyable and not at all stressful. My Goal was to complete my full licence & decide that the Pre-CBT was the best was to go to build confidence riding a manual motorbike - I really enjoyed it. Prior to 28th February i had never being on a bike & Tuesday 14th May I was successful in completing the MOD2 test on first attempt. Was i nervous before my test YES! (Nick with tell you that 100%!!) but over the last 2 months I was given first class tuition from both Gaz & Nick who teach in their own personable ways! this gave me the confidence to know it was achievable! Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic team working here, make you feel very welcome and comfortable. I passed my CBT today and having never ridden a bike I was a complete novice. The team were very understanding and patient and most importantly no question was a stupid one! I will absolutely be doing my direct access licence with them when I can! They helped my son Josh get through his A2 test after spending a year with another riding school who just failed him. Fantastic experience: Where to start? Gaz, nick and Mooney took a nervous guy with no confidence and no bike experience and took me through from CBT to passing mod 2. They all had patience, they took time to explain, demonstrate and practice all the skills I needed to pass my test. My confidence and ability has been encourage to grow. My knowledge as it does with experience has grown, my nervousness has subsided. I can't wait to get out on the road on my own bike. Thank you guys, you do an amazing job. Fantastic experience: Supportive, patient and knowledgeable. I recently went to Wilson's Rother Ride to take my CBT. My brother and I had our session on the same day and had a fantastic time learning how to safely ride a motorcycle. Our instructor, Moonie, was brilliant. He gave us thorough training about how the bike works, what gear to use and why and most importantly, how to drive the bike and not let the bike drive you. He gave us helpful advice about things that may save us money in future and what gear may be more about fashion than function. Moonie was patient, he made sure we both had really locked in the manuevers and never put us in a position we were uncomfortable with. He helped us understand clutch control, slow speed manuevers and observation which meant when we got onto the road we were comfortable adjusting our speed to take tight corners and adapting to the naturally unforseen hazards that the road brings. Thanks to Moonie and the team, there was never a time I felt uncomfortable or unsafe on the bike. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and will be looking to continue my training in the new year. (Hopefully when it is a bit warmer)

Moonie was our instructor and was really professional and friendly, my first time ever on a scooter so I knew nothing going into it but Moonie answered all questions and I feel well prepped to be going out on my own now. Fantastic experience: Hi my name is Craig Whittaker and I am 63 years old. On November the 4th I went to Rotherride to partake in a CBT test full of worries and doubts about what I was about to encounter. Upon arrival I was met by our 2 instructors Moonie and Shane and from the first conversation I was immediately put at ease with the professional manner in which they interacted with not only me but the other guys on the course as well . The guys couldn’t do enough for us and nothing was too much trouble for them . It was horrendous conditions all day with non stop rain but that didn’t dampen the instructors manner or mood they were so professional throughout the whole course so thank you guys and I will hopefully see you in 2 years when I have to take my CBT again.

Fantastic experience: My cbt ran out and i needed one asap i spoke to WRR over the phone and they squeezed me in with 2 days notice even though they was booked up this was my 3rd time around for my cbt with WRR and the service is always the same very chilled , relaxed and friendly environment. My instructor for the day was moonie what can i say polite, very friendly , fantastic at guidance and instruction and an all around a top instructor. Fantastic experience: Fantastic tuition I passed over 3 years ago with RR, got a cracking deal to do the Direct Access at the time (pre covid) and after over 20k miles on my own bike i haven't fell off yet so the proofs in the pudding.

Fantastic experience: Well to start off with I cannot give this place less than 5 stars, if there was an option for more I’d give it. This place is truly amazing and the staff are just out of this world! I did my CBT on 19/05/23 and I ended up passing. My instructor Moonie was absolutely amazing with me! He saw my potential and stuck with me knowing I struggled with the bike to start with. I’d never been on a bike before and Moonie took his time to teach me everything I need to know, he kept complementing me on my driving and how well I was doing. I also achieved an impossible for me. Passing first time never being on a bike before, (I’ll still be proud of that till I die), I can’t say a bad word about these guys because they’re so lovely and chill, you can just be yourself around them. I’ll definitely be coming back for my full license! Especially when Moonie said he could see me as a full rider no problem Just want to say a big thank you and I’ll be sending everyone I know your way!

No such nonsense here and everything was well communicated and organised. Tuition is excellent and with more taught than just how to pass the test. Fantastic experience: Started my journey with the cbt in November and now hold a full A licence as of last week. The tuition from start to finish has been excellent from all of the instructors. Really down to Earth people that make learning fun and you can have a good laugh at the same time. Sam does an excellent job booking your lessons and tests around your busy schedules, so top marks there. Overall excellent riding school, highly recommended 10/10.

Fantastic experience: Completed direct access course from complete beginner to getting full bike license. From start to finish it has been absolutely amazing. From cbt with mooney who was a brilliant guy and taught us how to ride essentially. Then moving up to 125’s with nick who was brilliant in putting his years of experience into our riding. Then finishing up on the 600’s with the owner gaz who is absolutely spot on, going up to big bikes is scary but he taught us to ride confidently and professionally, with me and my friend both passing Mod 1 & Mod 2 on the 1st attempts which is incredible! I can't wait to gain more experience on my own bike and will not think twice about heading back to Wilson's Rother Ride to do my direct access training.

Fantastic experience: I honestly cannot say anything nice enough to Gary, Sam and the team at Wilson’s, it is a lovely family run business and they treat you like family the moment you walk through the door. I took my direct access and I had two lessons and passed my Mod 1, and two lessons and then passed my Mod 2. Gary is very down to Earth and will give you the best advice to make you the best rider you can be, but he will still have a laugh with you and make you feel comfortable. Sam was able to sort out my days when personal matters or the weather got in the way with no fuss, told me what my new days were, and even reminded me of when my lessons were so I didn’t forget. Cannot recommend Wilson’s Rother Ride enough. I only wish I had done my CBT with them as well. Thanks guys!!!

Fantastic experience: Massive thanks to Gary and his team at rother ride, passed my bike test today thanks to the fantastic guidance and instruction that is in abundance at rother ride. This is a brilliant family run business. Made welcome from the minute you walk through the door and treat like family not a client. Anybody considering doing any sort of bike training from cbt to direct access,I can not recommend these guys enough.
