Fantastic experience: I felt unprepared and frustrated after an unsuccessful attempt at my Module 2 test with another training school. At the previous school, I felt like just another number. The instructors barely paid attention to how I was riding and seemed more focused on other students, particularly one female rider who received far more guidance than I did. It was disappointing and left me feeling like I hadn’t been given a fair chance to improve. Everything changed when I booked my Module 2 training with Mercury Motorcycle Training. From the moment I arrived, the difference was immediately apparent. The training was structured, supportive, and tailored to my individual needs, which made all the difference. Looking back, I can confidently say I wish I had come to Mercury from the start. It would have saved me so much time, frustration, and money. One standout aspect of my experience with Mercury was the attention to detail, even when it came to equipment. I arrived with some of my own gear, but they still offered me the option to use a full kit of their equipment. I decided to give it a try, and I’m so glad I did. The gear was of outstanding quality—warm, comfortable, and clearly well-maintained. Feeling warm and well-protected definitely helped me stay focused during the training and probably contributed to my success. My day with Mercury began with an introduction to the bike, giving me the opportunity to get comfortable and confident with how it handled. Unlike my previous experience, David, my instructor, took the time to assess my skills and ensure I felt ready before moving forward. We even practised a few key Module 1 exercises to refine my control, which helped set me up for success as we transitioned to the road. Once we were out on the road, David provided clear, personalised guidance and helped me review the areas where I struggled during my previous test. We covered various routes, including some tricky sections, and David offered insightful, actionable feedback along the way. In contrast to my experience with the other school, where feedback was vague and unhelpful, David’s approach made it easy to improve and build confidence. We took regular breaks to discuss my progress and focus on areas for improvement. During one of these breaks, David reviewed the Module 2 safety questions and answers with me in a quiet location, ensuring I fully understood them. The entire session felt comprehensive yet relaxed, and David’s calm and professional demeanour made it a genuinely enjoyable experience. By the time we reached the test centre, I felt prepared and confident, something I had not experienced during my first attempt. The difference in quality between Mercury Motorcycle Training and my previous school was staggering. I learned more in one day with David than I did in half a day at the other school, where attention and structure were sorely lacking. Mercury Motorcycle Training goes above and beyond in every aspect. From their incredible instructors like David, who tailor the training to your needs, to their well-maintained bikes and top-notch equipment, they set you up for success from the start. Whether it’s the little things like offering high-quality gear or the big things like personalised feedback and structured sessions, they truly prioritise their students’ success. Passing my Module 2 after training with Mercury was an incredible feeling, and I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Fantastic experience: I completed my CBT today with Stuart. I was nervous and he was incredibly patient with me and answered all my questions very clearly. I would highly recommend training here. The site is perfect for learning how to ride safely and there is a lot of space for manoeuvres. After the lesson they told me about what the next steps could be if I wanted to do the full test and I left feeling much more confident. Fantastic experience: Fantastic school. I did my CBT here a few weeks ago. Stu & Dave are terrific teachers, and were patient with an older learner like me. I started never having sat on a bike before, and by the end (I needed to come back for a few extra hours) I was a pretty confident rider. Fantastic experience: I Can’t praise the team enough, I’ve just completed my Direct access with them. From Initial phone call with Unice, Cbt, mod1 and mod2 these guys have been amazing! All communication with Unice has been nothing short of a delight, Phonecalls, followed by texts and emails! Very clear no hidden surprises overall a very positive experience! Dave’s instruction is impeccable, very clear, very patient, very laid back and above all extremely supportive and never hesitant to help with any aspect of the training! Fantastic experience: I have just finished on my motorcycle training with Mercury and I’m really glad that I chose them to take my training. Right from the start, their communications was excellent keeping me informed with times and dates for my training and tests which was down to Eunice. Thank you. thanks to Stuart for a great day doing my CBT. We had a laugh and he made it very relaxing and enjoyable. Fantastic experience: Completed my CBT with Mercury follow some initial try-rides. The booking process was easy and everything well considered, with Eunice taking note of previous experience (or in my case lack of) and other factors when arranging the appropriate sessions. Excellent experience all round, Eunice is incredible helpful and informative for someone like myself brand new to motorcycling, with great advice on how best to approach things. Stuart was a great instructor for the CBT, patient and has a great sense of humour. Dave was excellent throughout DAS training, with thorough instruction for Mod 1 and 2, as well as an emphasis on riding safely rather than just learning to pass the test. Fantastic experience: Went for a 1on1 with Dave following an accident to gain a bit of confidence with cornering. Absolutely faultless From initial inquiries to booking and the actual time spend with Dave on the day. Dave took me out on the bikes while filming my riding, came back and did a reviewed the video. During the review Dave pointed out my bad habits, road positioning etc. Not only pointing out the areas I need to improve/change but explained very well with excellent knowledge why I need to make these changes. We then went back out on the bikes, and it was a completely different ride! Within the 3 hour course Dave has managed to transform my riding and my confidence on the road is definitely improving. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: The team at mercury motorcycle are simply first class, this company should be your first choice for any type of motorcycle training. Also it’s at a race track! Every time you go for training you will see either stunning motorbikes or some modded up cars! But don’t worry you don’t train on the track . I started with a try ride and then onto my cbt. Stuart was my instructor for these and he is an absolute legend. He will put you at ease straight away, and make the whole cbt pleasurable and a fun experience. Then I went onto my DAS training with Dave, he is a guru when it comes to riding! A little wobbly on the figure of eight? Dave has a tip for that, worried about u-turn? Dave has a tip for that too. He will get you through mod 1 and 2, he got me through it! If you’re worried about making mistakes, Dave is as laid back as a zen master! Last but by no means least is Eunice. What a pleasure she is to deal with to arrange all your bookings and tests. She must be worth her weight in gold to mercury motorcycle training. Thank you guys! Plenty of guidance, help and laid out all the information so easily that anyone could understand it but were fantastic with any questions I had throughout the CBT course. Fantastic experience: I attended a Level 1 Motorcycle skills and track academy day with Mercury Motorcycle Training (MMT), at Castle Combe circuit in Wiltshire. All the pre-session arrangements and communications with Eunice were brilliant, anything you need to know prior to the day can be answered, Eunice is just a phone call away. Very helpful! Setting objectives allows MMT to place you into the appropriate group to suit your needs. On the day (we had rain to start) pre-track session briefings are clear and give plenty of information regarding the circuit safety. Theory sessions are in indoors with Dave, these are very informative to riders and each session covers a different topic, which is ideal, if all the information was supplied in one session it would be impossible to take it all in. The day is broken down into six sessions. Our groups were small with only 3 riders per instructors, which is a great ratio, allowing instructors to focus fully on each rider. Instructors on track show you the track lines, breaking zones, turn in points etc. Once the warm up laps have been completed you are let 'free' with instructors following to observe you, sometimes overtaking you to allow them to show you better ways of traversing the circuit. Debrief from instructors after track sessions is done to give constructive feedback and allow you to make improvements to your riding over the day. I was very surprised what I was able to do with my bike. I now have a better understanding of levels of grip, breaking and abilities. I hit all my objectives and would recommend a day with MMT at CC race circuit. The cost of the day is value for money, and most of all I enjoyed it immensely.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Mercury Motorcycle Training enough. I’ve just completed a 2 day CBT with Stuart and a try ride before that with Dave and the whole experience has been outstanding. The training and support I experienced along with the customer service from Eunice was second to none. When I eventually do my big bike training I will 100% be returning. I cannot thank Stuart, Dave and Eunice enough. Honestly if you are looking for somewhere to do your cbt or big bike training you have found the right place. I will be back.

Fantastic experience: Had never ridden a motorbike before and at 58 thought I'd give it a go. Booked a try ride and really enjoyed it, and earlier this week completed my CBT. I would highly recommend Mercury Motorcycle Training. Now to get a bike and get some experience before contemplating taking the big bike test at some point in the future. Fantastic experience: Did my cbt today 18.05.23 and was excellent from the first point of contact to the actual cbt. Stuart was excellent top chap thoroughly enjoyable and educationale so thanks. Will be back for more training and mod 1 and 2 very soon :) 29.08.23 so today I passed my mod 2 test first time and all because of the first class tuition I received from Dave. Dave's instruction was delivered in a clear and understandable way, with the logic, theory, and meaning behind why we're doing what we're doing, which for me, makes it easier to digest and manifest in my riding. Fantastic experience: Recently passed my cbt test here, as a novice and extremely nervous rider Neil had the patience of a Saint and could quite frankly ensure anybody passes to their best ability. He is a fantastic instructor and I learned a great deal and most importantly he built up my confidence and made me feel extremely at ease. Fantastic experience: The trainers at Mercury were beyond fantastic. I had a Try Ride then a two day CBT. What makes them so good is that they offer a two day CBT course as an option if they feel you may need it, which gives a much more relaxed approach to the otherwise intense training. Dave and Neil are fantastic guys, which both have a real passion for motorcycles, and training new rider safely at the speed you would feel comfortable with. I hope to see you guys again for my direct access course in the new year.

Negative experience: I crashed my bike prior to the event and they couldn't care less. I didn't ask for a refund, but to reschedule or give me a voucher, but none was given. Not coming back.

Fantastic experience: Big thanks to Eunice and Dave for getting me through the Mod 1 and Mod 2 tests with successful achievement of my full motorcycle license. Eunice sets expectations very clearly at the start of your journey, the team are not about smashing people through training but are all about making safe motorcycle riders. As such a DAS assessment is your 1st part of the journey to see what readiness level you are and Dave will determine if you are ready. Mercury’s training builds day on day filling in the missing parts of your experience since CBT with Dave’s dulcet tones in your ear refining and honing your skills on the road. A combination of low speed training at their great facility at Castle Combe racing circuit and road training around the test routes of Bristol or Swindon bring together the best recipe for maximising your chances for passing the tests. I can’t recommend these guys enough if you live in the Bristol, Chippenham, Swindon area and you want to get onto two wheels. Give Eunice a ring and arrange a date for magic to happen! Hmmmm, which big bike to buy?

He made sure i was comfortable with the techniques and skills he taught me but most importantly made sure i met a safe standard before letting me on the road. Fantastic experience: Having never been on a motorbike before at the ripe old age of 64 I decided it was about time to give it a go. I couldn't have chosen a better training centre and instructor, absolutely fantastic. Stuart, the instructor, had the patience of a saint and was clear, concise and understanding when mistakes were made! Been on the road now for two weeks and confidence has grown in the knowledge that I know what I'm doing but most of all I'm safe! Booking the course with Eunice, who gave some excellent advice, made the whole experience a real pleasure. Many thanks to the team for a great two days of learning and fun.

Fantastic experience: Mercury have been great since I first did my CBT right up till now passing my MOD2. Dave and Eunice both bend over backwards to make sure you get the best experience and the best result you can. After first failing my MOD2 they did everything they could to book me in before I went off to the TT. I can’t recommend them enough, Dave really makes you feel confident and ready for the test and is patient even when you get things wrong, I can’t fault Mercury

Fantastic experience: My wife had a confidence destroying disaster when doing her first CBT with a local Gloucester company and was ready to throw in the towel. Thankfully she found Mercury and went for an assessment followed by her CBT. She now rides confidently with knowledge that she gained from Mercury but never featured in her first attempt with the other company. Listening to her experience and what she was taught I feel a bit short changed as my CBT with the other company was no where near as comprehensive as hers. I will be using Mercury for further training, and highly recommend them after seeing how they trained my wife to be a confident and safe rider.

Fantastic experience: Me and a good friend on mine, both in our sixty’s have just completed our CBT thanks to our instructor Stuart. He was excellent, clear, precise, patient and thankfully he had a sense of humour! He has a great way of informing you of your errors, would highly recommend, top guy. Also Eunice has been so helpful and accommodating for the pair of us.

Fantastic experience: I was introduced to Eunice and Dave through my wife who had an amazing experience doing her Back to Biking through Mercury. They guided my transition from zero-confidence greenwheel to fully-licensed motorcyclist, helping me hone the necessary skills to be a competent rider whilst catering to my individual needs. I cannot fault them, nor recommend them enough.

Fantastic experience: Mercury Motorcycle Training were recommended to me by a friend. I contacted them with regard to taking my MOD 1 and MOD 2 bike tests to obtain a full bike licence. Having had no previous motorbike riding experience I undertook a DAS assessment hour with Dave and he determined that I should undertake 2 days of training before my MOD 1 test and then take my MOD 2 test a week later. The training provided was first class, Dave has the patience of a saint, especially with the mistakes I was making. Dave has a genuine desire to teach everyone how to ride safely on the road for the future, not just to get you through the tests. From the initial enquiry to booking the course everything was efficiently handled by Eunice. I thoroughly recommend Mercury to anyone looking to learn to ride a motorcycle.

Fantastic experience: Mercury MT offer a unique personal and superior way of learning to ride, start to finish you feel like a member of the family rather than a client. Completed my CBT with another company but so glad I went with Mercury for my DAS and passed my module 1 and 2 first time. Dave and Eunice were well organised, the location is fantastic, with the bikes / equipment up to date and well maintained. Would highly recommend and will be returning for the Advanced Rider Scheme next summer :)

Fantastic experience: I can honestly say this is some of the best training you’ll receive! Completed my CBT with a different company and wasn’t impressed but got recommended to mercury motorcycle to complete my DAS and was the best decision I made. Dave and Eunice were organised, welcoming and gave me to confidence to ride, ask questions and pass my module 1 and 2 first time. The bikes and equipment used were all kept in great condition. Would highly recommend and will hopefully be returning to complete other courses sometime in the near future!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Mercury Motorcycle Training. Communication was excellent and Eunice was very helpful in explaining the process of taking my CBT. A huge thank you to Stuart for his patience and superb instructing skills. I’m a driving instructor myself and appreciated his clear and calm method of imparting his considerable and extensive knowledge. He made it interesting and fun but never detracted from the seriousness of the job in hand. As an ‘older lady’ (and more nervous than I thought I’d be!) his approach was spot on - encouraging, patient but knew when to chivvy me along! Thanks Stuart! Great team in a superb setting with excellent facilities and kit. Hoping to be back in 12 months for my next level of training.

Positive experience: Completed my CBT with instructor Stuart today. Great instruction and the 125cc bike was great also. My only constructive criticism was I don't yet have my own bike clothing so used the stuff provided by Mercury. It was really wet in the afternoon, and after the 2hr road ride I was wet through as the kit was not at all waterproof. Better loan kit would have been welcome. Apart from that, I'll be back for my DAS.

Fantastic experience: Did my CBT today with Mercury. Really helpful from the booking to the day. learnt so much and even though we had to ride in a downpour in the afternoon, I felt safe and secure on my bike after all the training, information and tips they gave me... wouldn't go anywhere else.. Have since passes both my Mod 1 and 2 using Mercury. The whole experience was well run, very professional, but also enjoyable. Fantastic service as well re-arranging everything at the last minute for me due ro covid.. 1st class company from the back office/ admin through to the training. Wouldn't go anywhere else..

Fantastic experience: Attended a motorcycle skills day in the beginners class. I could not reccomend this place any more if I tried. The school is superbly organised, the instructors all have a wealth of knowledge and crucially everyone is very approachable and friendly. I learnt a huge amount. Particularly, what it's like to lock my back wheel up. :) Edit: I've been back for more 2 years later and they've only improved . There is a reason why they have 5 stars. You won't be disappointed, nor intimidated if this is new to you on track.

I've never ridden a motorcycle before but was recommended to do a trial ride first and then my CBT. I'm so glad I did this as it helped me get a feel of the motorcycle and help my balance! Stuart has been a fab trainer and so so patient with me ☺️ Eunice has been also brilliant with sorting everything out and booking me in advance to make sure I get the time off work.
