Fantastic experience: Brilliant training school, when I came to Scotti Knights I had already attempted to do my CBT elsewhere but didn't feel the previous school was the right fit for me, my confidence was very low and my anxiety was high, I was close to giving up. Once I got on the pad with Ray and Dave I was shown so much patience that things started to turn around and gradually my confidence grew. I needed longer than a day but in the end I left with my CBT and total confidence in my ability to ride. I can't thank Scotti Knights enough, not only for believing in me but being willing to keep going over what I needed to get me there. I highly recommend doing your training here, complete professionalism and everyone there is rooting for you all of the time. I'll be going back to do my DAS because I wouldn't want to go anywhere else, 5*s is absolutely warranted!

Fantastic experience: I did my CBT with Ray from Scottish Knights today, after having absolutely no prior bike experience (aside from a pedal bike). We managed to get up and running safely out onto the road, being able to do manoeuvres and left with a CBT certificate. I feel fully confident in their teaching ability and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, I'd love to come back to continue training.

Fantastic experience: I'm a 50 year old woman who has decided she wants to ride a motorbike, call it a midlife crisis or life begins at 50!!!! I took my CBT on Tuesday (and passed :)) I was under no illusion that it would be a walk in the park. However Ray is a fantastic instructor, he's patient, informative and cracks the odd joke to make the day less nerve wracking and puts you at ease. I passed on an automatic and I will be getting in touch to learn a manual soon. My ambition is to ride through Langollen, over horse shoe pass, have lunch at Pondarosa on the way to Rhyl on a 250cc by next summer! Thank you Scotti Knights!!!

Fantastic experience: I want to express my immense gratitude to Scotti Knights Motorcycle School for providing comprehensive training to obtain the Direct Access license. As I already had a non-exchangeable license in the UK, I began with the CBT (Compulsory Basic Training) certificate in February. By May, I had acquired my Direct Access license for larger motorcycles. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the school, refreshing my skills and developing new ones with the trainers. Many thanks to Ruth for her organizational and administrative efforts, Ray for fostering excellent camaraderie and humor, Dave for effective CBT training, and a special thank you to Nigel for his attitude and the knowledge and skills I gained during my preparation for the practical tests. Fantastic experience: Experienced a great CBT course. I am brand new to biking yet Ray was superb with confidence-building and methodical presentation of the course. Working our way up through manoeuvres and basics, he was able to prepare me for what I may find out on the road. Fantastic experience: I had a great time doing my CBT training with Ray. It was the first time I sat on a geared motorbike, and TBH, I did not have much confidence in doing it at the beginning. Ray has been always helpful, explaining everything in detail and now I am qualified motorbike leaner on the road! Also big thanks to Ruth keeps feeding me hot coffee! The weather was awful!

Fantastic experience: I booked my CBT with Scotti Knights over the Xmas break. It was simple & easy to do online where I booked myself a slot for two weeks time. On the day we got given a helmet, gloves & protective gear & of course a bike, we just needed to bring ourselves, boots & some lunch. Ray took care of us for the day & took us through the various stages of the course in a calm & friendly manner. The reason I chose to do it with Scotti Knight’s was I’ve seen them bobbing around Sale for absolute years so they’ve built up a good long standing reputation. I’ll see you all again when I book in for my DAS

I wasn’t the greatest student but with his coaching and attention to detail, I passed my CBT. Me and my friend came as complete novices (I had personally never even been on the road before) and the instructors calmed my nerves, taught us efficiently with no nonsense and got me confident on the road. Negative experience: I was late 20min for a genuine reason which I understand can cancel the course. But the attitude of the instructor was so rude and arrogant. Theirs a way to talk to people even if it’s to tell them they can’t continue. The last place I used for CBT was so friendly and welcoming. Well I was going to do my full direct access with this company over £1k but not now after the bad attitude of the instructor totally put me off.

Fantastic experience: Lovely place to get your motorcycle licence. Ray and Dave are very good trainers, they were very paitient and focussed on basics. All maneuvers were practiced in a nice quiet environment and finally got to ride on the road for tge last 2 hours. I got my CBT on the same day and cant wait to get my full licence and hit the road!

Fantastic experience: What a great day I had with Dave & Ray doing my CBT. The training was really thorough, with great attention to detail. It was delivered in a calm, relaxed, encouraging way so it was easy to learn and improve the bike handling. By the end of the morning's training I was ready for the afternoon out on the roads. All the trainees were given complementary bottles of chilled water as the day was really hot & humid. A nice thoughtful touch! One of the first things done during the afternoon was to demonstrate we could safely & consistently do emergency stops on the road. After that we rode on a huge variety of roads from country lanes, urban streets, major 'A' roads to a dual carriageway. So we experienced severe congestion, busy shopping streets, quiet lanes and a fast dual carriageway and every type of junction and hazard. Ray was really patient with us and made sure we rode safely. I reckon the whole day was a perfect training experience - just how it should be done. And I got my CBT certificate! Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: The day began as you expect with all necessary checks being carried out, driving licence, eye sight, introductions to the training etc. Then the fun began. Having never ridden a manual motercycle I was quite nervous however Ray and Dave showed me how to operate it. I must admit I did not like going around cones when I could be going around kerbs but that is part of the training. And then the real fun began :D So many dangers on the road you need to be aware of but Dave was always aware of them all and kept myself and a fellow learner safe while we in turn showed that we can handle the motercycle while observing other conditions i.e speed limit changes or vehicles emerging from side roads and he always kept us aware. Overall a lovely experience, the reason its not five stars is because I like a bit of carrot with my stick. Thank you Scotti Knights :) (edit I completed the training) Second Edit On reflection the stick was necessary in order for me to understand and complete the course successfully. My safety was their concern and they did a brilliant job while I was inexperienced and deserved the stick. Again Thankyou Skotti Knights 5 stars

Positive experience: I booked my CBT today for 8:15. The whole experience wasn't too bad. I am an 18 year old female, quite short and not the strongest, hence making me a complete beginner with experience only in push bike; I had zero safety gear and due to my personal style I didn't own any jeans or suitable boots. I read the term and conditions thoroughly the night before and it stated clearly there was safety equipment including 'helmet, jacket, trousers, boots, gloves and if necessary waterproofs, for you to use during your training - at no extra cost'. I went to the training centre in a fleece, leggings and slip on vans thinking it would be more suitable to have thermals than to wear joggers and struggle to put on any actual safety gear before riding. Before we actually started riding, the instructor looked at my clothing and deemed it unsuitable for riding which I knew before hand and I told them I thought they would provide me with trousers, boots etc which I did not have. However, they replied with 'no, we don't lend trousers or boots, we only have jackets, helmets and gloves'. They however did give me some waterproof pants to layer up which I do appreciate but I was greeted with disappointed and disapproving looks which wasn't really expected. During the training, I struggled to control the bike with it being a little heavier than I thought (steering wise) and the speed at which I was going. The instructors I had were clearly very knowledgeable and provided me with any extra support I needed but being new to riding, I was quite intimidated by the stern, quick paced training. I was quite slow and struggled to pick things up quickly but towards the end, I was able to be more confident in my riding with the help of my instructors. I do think being a little less stern would've eased my intimidation, I was more afraid of doing things wrong than actually trying to find the root of the problem because I would receive what I believe to be disapproving and disappointed looks. Regarding, the equipments, it would be nice to be made more aware before hand what was available and what wasn't- I understand it would've helped if I could come in more appropriate clothing but I didn't own any jeans or boots so it was a little upsetting to receive the looks and comments regarding my clothing. Nonetheless, I would still come back and complete my CBT since the instructors were clearly very skilled and experienced in the field.

Fantastic experience: Took my CBT here, on a quiet day for the school (just two of us learning). Unfortunately can't remember my instructors name, but thought he was a good fair yet firm teacher whilst being encouraging and reasonable. Started on the manual but I couldn't make it *click* for meso switched to the automatic scooter for the on road part of the session. Got CBT at the end of it and planning to go back here for the manual bike lesson and get riding! Would deffo recommend tbh

Fantastic experience: Having never been on a motorcycle before to say I was nervous was an understatement. Yet, Ray and his team got me through my CBT. From there I took the Mod 1 and Mod 2 Route. With the help of Nige and his intricate layered teaching technique I passed both the mod 1 and mod 2 first time. The whole experience was a pleasure, the welcoming environment, the level of knowledge and communication from the team was faultless. Have already recommended to others. On my opinion, the best training school in Manchester.

Fantastic experience: Putting it simply, the best there is. The friendly, knowledgeable and informative style of training was second to none. I have learned so much today. Although I am currently a car driver I strongly feel I am now a better car driver then I was before doing my CBT i feel I am now more aware. I couldn’t recommend Scotti knights enough, from the beginning of my CBT through to my ‘on the road’ training with ray (and a lot of banter) with Dave, it was a successful course. Negative experience: Booked the cbt course. Couldnt make it due to unforseen circumstances and when i rang up to see if i could reschedule, they expected me to pay an extra £170. What a joke.

I was well trained and looked after, learned tonnes of stuff and had loads of laughs and a lot of fun to boot! Scotti Knights are a fabulous organisation. Fantastic experience: Just spent day at Scotti Knights with Ray as my tutor. It was a great day and as the other training had to pull out early had one on one training. Ray made it enjoyable and relaxing and got lots of good practice in. He ride out was nice calm and felt it was a good ride despite the cold and little shower Ray’s tone and method of teaching was calm made you feel like although you were training it wasn’t making me nervous. I didn’t catch female colleagues name but kept me topped up with nice hot cups of tea and some great conversations. As a trans female I was treated with the upmost respect would recommend this coarse to anyone needing to do their CBT.

Fantastic experience: As an old(ish) geezer who'd never ridden a motorbike before I was a little apprehensive, but after a full day's tuition (including 2 hours on the road) and excellent guidance from Dave I passed the CBT. The added bonus for me was the advice regarding what to wear and what type of bike I should be looking for, so all in all a great experience... thanks again Scotti Knights.

Fantastic experience: Arrived at training centre for CBT and had a great experience. The instructors were excellent and I felt very calmed by their professional attitudes. The training here is very thorough but in a relaxed calm and safe environment. You have to work for your CBT here at Scotti Knights which is testament to their professionalism and attitude to road safety so don't be too upset if you need to come back its not as easy as you may think. Fantastic experience: Nothing but positive things to say about this training school and it’s staff. Finished my CBT this week with Ray after a 2 hour road ride which was great! Both Dave and Ray were very thorough on the training area which instilled nothing but confidence; with not only operating a geared motorcycle but with operating one on the busy roads, all while offering a great sense of humour that made the time spent there really enjoyable. The amount of knowledge and experience the staff at this school hold and their delivery of the training is worth it’s weight in gold. Fantastic experience: Dave the master was as courteous and insightful as the first time I did my CBT.....wouldn't trust my riding skills to anyone else

Fantastic experience: Did my CBT here with Ray and Dave and then went straight into my DAS course with Nigel. I passed both tests first time and I owe that entirely to all the team at Scotti Knights. If you want somewhere with a wealth of experience that will teach you the right ways this is the place. The price your given is the price you pay, no hidden extras or add ons like some other schools. Would highly recommend Scotti Knights to anyone looking to learn to ride.

Negative experience: Abrupt, rude instructors , I know a string of people who havnt be given their certificates at the end of the training day with recommendations to book more time on the bike with them. These are people who have previously passed the cbt but it timed out due to covid ! Nothing more than a money making scam.

Negative experience: Don't bother using them , they will make up excuses to get you to pay more , really don't bother, what does CBT stand for ? So you actually failed as an instructor , you said the monies covers the certificate but if 1 isn't issued just how does it cover it ? And I have reported you to have the camera viewed

Fantastic experience: When passionate bikers teach how to ride motorcycle in UK as part CBT, I have come across committed Trainer Roy and Nigel. It emotional experience for me as I was riding motorbike after 8 months. So happy to I did CBT at Scotti Knights and with passionate bikers. End of the day CBT is for riders to be safe on the road, They want every one train by them are safe on road, Really enjoyed doing CBT from them looking forward to do full license in same place
