Negative experience: Rang Harley Davidson and requested a price on the following for a 72 plate 114 street Bob bought brand new from HD Swansea 1) 5K service 2) Fitting an alarm sound component 3) price on 2 tyres front and back 4) price on fitting too All this not going to be cheap ? This was Thursday 25/01/24 and I am still waiting for a quote , I will say I missed a couple of calls as I drive bussed throughout the day but even in my breaks I've tried to ring back and no answers. Even spoke to the main man there who said he would email them in service. Still there is no contact SO BEST I LOOK FOR ALTERNATIVE ARRANGEMENTS !!!!! SHAMEFUL HD !!!

Negative experience: My brand new Harley davidson fatboy, It started off being my dream bike but soon turned into my nightmare. After 6 months of owning it the front folks corroded and so did the air filter, engine light kept coming on, bare in mind I only rode this bike out in the rain twice since I bought it and it was always dry stored in a heated garage. Harley davidson refused to change the folks originally, so I had to go through the finance company black horse. Once black horse sent out a none biased investigator, so not on Harleys side or mine or black horse, the gentleman agreed it was a manufacturing defect and then after nearly 6 months of back and forth and going through absolute hell with harley they finally gave in to black horse and agreed to change the folks. I honestly felt I wasn't helped or looked after as a customer. You'd think that when you spend 20-50k on these bikes you would get good customer service. My opinion of harley davidson now after owning one, is you're 100% just buying for the name and in no way buying quality or customer service, I'm really gutted to be honest because I absolutely loved the bike to start with. Harley davidson swansea did however grant me a free service for all the troubles I went through, for that I am grateful.
Negative experience: Staff in the service office need some customer service training ASAP! Stood there for a good few minutes before anyone could be bothered coming over to see what I wanted, despite nobody being on the phone, dealing with another customer or looking particularly busy. Had been booked in for a service on my Harley about 4 weeks previously. Same total lack of reaction or recognition or even acknowledgement of my presence when I came back a few hours later to pick it up. After paying the exorbitant cost I left thinking I'd try my luck anywhere else for the next service! Workshop staff very helpful and pleasant I must say and the shop itself I cannot fault.

Negative experience: Whilst touring in Wales my CVO developed an engine fault that cleared quickly but left the engine management light on. As the bike is still in warranty my dealer advised me to take the bike to the nearest dealer to get their engineer to check it out on their diagnostic machine. So today I drove 95 miles to Swansea HD only to be told that they were too busy to even look at the bike for a week and a half, even though it’s a quick job to hook it up to the computer and probably clear the fault the service desk were adamant they wouldn’t help. Now I know that maybe I should have called in advance but every dealer in the UK that I have visited would have at least taken 10 minutes to have a quick look, especially as you were a visitor from another dealer, clearly not at Swansea. Hey ho, another 95 mile ride back to Snowdonia and hopefully the bike will last until I get home.

Negative experience: Made a call to the parts department for a couple of small spares for my bike, the parts person was not available (busy with another customer I was informed), however the person I spoke to took down my details phone number etc and assured me that they'd call me back ASAP, I'm still waiting after 3 days, perhaps my order wouldn't have been big enough to make it worthwhile

Negative experience: Misguided about deposit returns Salesman ensures that the company would be customer friendly with requests to refund my deposit but reality was far different. Had to apply much pressure and settled for a partial refund, they didn’t even want to issue a credit note for the balance I lost. Be wary of empty promises from this company. On the plus side initially they offered a good price.
We are sorry that you feel disappointed with the partial refund. However we have incurred costs in labour and ordering the exhausts for your requested customised vehicle. Therefore as we are unable to recover these costs, this was the reason we help part of the deposit. This was explained to you as part of the sales process, and should you wish to purchase a bike under different circumstances, we will honour the partial retained against the new vehicle. Regards SHD

Negative experience: Ordered parts, brand new for stage 4, parts came with corosion and machining faults, not expected at all. Only parts employee that I trusted sorted it but alas he no longer works there so who knows what will happen now. Once they've sold you a bike they don't offer any kind of aftersales and they will hold parts back that are rightfully yours unless you kick up. Overpriced labour charges for mechanics who don't even now the right tools to use, friend had a nut rounded off because of incorrect tools used whilst in workshop and they tried to pass blame to him and deny all knowledge. My advice go further afield to a better run dealership, this one has clearly lost touch.
