Fantastic experience: Completed my CBT here at 17 and i couldn’t be more chuffed with the teaching and hospitality i received my instructor was firm but fair and educated me well on safety on the road and gave me confidence on my bike. i couldn’t recommend this place more!

Fantastic experience: Fabulous experience doing CBT with Jo at Train To Ride. I was incredibly nervous and tense after a terrible experience during my first attempt at CBT (not here, a different riding school) and Jo was patient, kind, understanding and an amazing instructor. I started off with absolutely no confidence and walked away with my CBT certificate thanks to Jo. Everyone who works there was super welcoming and friendly and put me at ease immediately (with a lovely brew!). DEFINITELY recommend!!! Thank you ❤️

Negative experience: Went to take CBT but did not have a good experience. Immediately after the initial classroom session while getting to grips with the bikes we were made anxious by the instructor. She constantly raised her voice at both of us when we were both (at this point) new bike riders instead of any kind of guidance to corrrect it. When i tried to discuss what I was doing wrong with her I was told that i was arguing with her and that ended the discussion before it even started. Upon them learning that the other rider had previously ridden scooters, after lunch I was placed on a scooter without any discussion beforehand and then had to repeat the exercises that we had just spent the last 4 hours doing (Our confidence by this point was shot). Lo and behold her demenour changed, even apologised for raising her voice at us, but at this point the damage had been done and we did not have sufficient time (or will) to complete the CBT course. All of this on top of grounds that look like someone has switched on a wave machine and not good for any new rider to get to grips with while trying to get a feel for an unfamiliar bike and process the exacting information being thrown at us. My rating reflects my experience of the day and the 2 very different instructors we had that day, whether that was down to her being under the weather or what, but I certainly didnt enjoy the experience or feel like id learned a lot given the waste of a morning getting my confidence shot to pieces.

Fantastic experience: I done my CBT yesterday and passed easily with the support of jo, i gave her a brief overview of the last 2 years of my riding which ended in a crash. She was supportive and very considerate. 10/10 always gonna be doing my training here and hopefully move on to the bigger bikes soon -Danny. Fantastic experience: Can't recommend this place enough to anyone who's thinking about doing their CBT. I was a complete novice, I'd never driven / rode anything before and I was a bag of nerves. As soon as I met Jo she put me at ease with her friendly and relaxed character. After a chat about gear, gloves, helmet safety we were out on the tarmac for a look at the bikes. We were taught about the bikes controls and the vital daily / weekly checks and maintenance, which was really informative and interesting . After Jo checked we were happy with what we had learned and understood the basics, we were riding the bikes round the track, doing manoeuvres and braking exercises. The instructors instructions were clear, straight forward and easy to follow, even for a dummy like me. Long story short, by the end of the course, I'd been out on the road on a bike for 2 hours. I never thought I'd ever be able to achieve that as I'd never even had a driving lesson and I'm in my 40's. I had the best time, learned loads and had a good laugh! 10 / 10 brilliant place

Negative experience: Tried my best to keep calm but was constantly getting shouted at and my confidence was shot to pieces after a day here. Was trying to stay calm and focused but it was impossible so I wanted to leave. 130 quid wasted, disappointing.The unprofessionalism can not be over stated, she said I could curse at her if I wanted too and I am not going to do that am I as I’m trying to be a respectful paying customer. I understand why she was shouting at some points to try and get it into my head and I learned a lot but overall it wasn’t a nice experience and walked away feeling shocked and upset. I gave a lot of right answers but I am getting a CBT so I don’t know every single little detail but the person instructing me made the answers seem like I had to already of knew everything. Got told I was p*ssing her off and making her angry when I’d had a good day up to that point. I’m not going to pay over 100 quid just to be screamed at for the day again so that is that.

Fantastic experience: Am excellent MOT facility with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Also provides rider training with on site facilities and riding clothing, equipment provided. Can get very busy so advisable to ring, book well in advance.

Fantastic experience: My Son went to Train to Ride for his CBT and they where absolutely brilliant, he then went on to do his full license on his 125, and passed first time with a glowing report from the examiner, my son is moderately disabled after a Brain haemorrhage at 18, Train to Ride are without a doubt The Best

Fantastic experience: Completed my first ever CBT with TTR this morning. Jo (the instructor) was absolutely amazing, her knowledge was unmatched and gave demonstration at every opportunity. I was nervous riding a geared bike for the first time but Jo was so patient and super supportive, guiding me through each and every step, correcting mistakes were needed. I felt so comfortable and confident when riding on the open roads after a few hours training. Honestly, if you're thinking if doing your CBT choose TTR. Thank you so much Jo for today! Fantastic experience: First of all Jo is amazing! I would recommend people to do a CBT test just to be taught by jo because if how easy she makes it for you. She explains everything extremely well and helps boost your confidence so much. I was a nervouse driver that's why I was doing a CBT, I explain this to Jo and she help d me overcome this dear and I passed my CBT and I am now riding a moped ! All thanks to her

Fantastic experience: Fantastic centre for learning riding for both beginners and experienced riders! Completed my CBT here with Jo who was patient and knowledgeable and taught the course at a comfortable pace. She guided me through the different procedures and gently corrected me during mistakes. The centre lends you all the gear needed for training too which was great as I had nothing! Would definitely return here for future training!

Fantastic experience: Had the pleasure to meet Jo on Wednesday as she guided me and Anna through our first CBT training. I can’t personally thank this lady enough, her knowledge was endless and she had the patience of a saint with us to. She was so kind and explained and demonstrated every thing to us. I also can’t thank her enough for giving me her personal protective clothing to keep me safe and warm she even gave me them to take home with me. Negative experience: Over 6 months of no riding due to rain, came back for CBT re-training. High-strung stressful instructor, constantly negative. Told I was 'stressing her out' for quietly sniffing due to hayfever. Shouting for the slightest infraction during training, despite my attempt at keeping a relaxed and positive attitude. Fantastic experience: Myself and my partner both went for a CBT yesterday with Jo. I have done my CBT here which was brilliant last time I came but having been off the road for 7 years I was definitely very nervous and not feeling very confident at all however Jo was amazing, she was there every step of the way keeping me calm and relaxed, talking me through everything, she had so much patience with me showing me how to do things on the bike again and again no matter how many times I needed a demonstration or explanation she never once made me feel anything other than cared for and valued. She built up my confidence from the second I arrived that morning. Such a lovely lady. As for my partner who has never been on a bike before the CBT he can't wait to now get on the road on his very own scooter. Positive experience: I did my CBT and passed my Mod 1 & 2 with TTR. I was instructed by Kenny and Keith and had tips given by Jo when she was observing between her courses. All the team are great and have lots of experience between them. Getting dates for tests is really difficult at the moment, so bear this in mind when thinking about learning. The bikes are older, and some do have their issues but are fine when you've become familiar with them. Shout out to Mary for organising everything throughout - thanks to you all!

Fantastic experience: Great training provider, instructors really know their stuff and will make sure you're confident before taking you for your test, I was able to pass first time with them.

Negative experience: The worst experience ever! The motorcycles are absolutely scrap! The yard were you practice riding its unbelievable rough and poor! The women instructor is the most rude and unprofessional staff I’ve ever seen. You get one instructor that tells you something then one that tells you opposite, never felt more confused than today. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!! I’ve come here the day that I’ve passed my theory test and I’ve explained that I’ve just passed and what do I need to do before I’ll be able to take my practical test, the answer I’ve got: I don’t know darl, you need to phone up Merry but only after 5pm(God knows why)! However after I’ve phoned I’ve got told that I’ll need cbt, when I turned up to get the cbt done I was questioned by someone else who’s in there why didn’t I booked my mod 1 training coz that’s what I’ve supposed to do! All you get here it’s wasted time and money!!

Fantastic experience: Renewed my CBT having previously done it with a training centre in hartlepool. Jo, my instructor, was very welcoming and a good sense of humour, she was extremely knowledgable as I expected.... but taught me a lot more than I had learned on my previous CBT course. Due to a no show there were no other learner riders on the day, so Jo, knowing I was planning on going for my big bike test this year, taught me some manoeuvres that I would need to learn. I found this extremely helpful and a great initiative. All staff and instructors were friendly. Great atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: What a wonderful time I've had Kennie and Jo have helped me from start to finish to complete my cbt after struggling with 1st time out there on the road they wanted to take me back out on the extra road ride and with Jo's help I passed and got my certificate and with kennies help too learning me the correct gear to on site training and been in the class room and also mary for helping me book my cbt I honestly recommend them to anyone wanting to get in the motorbike world and learn everything you need to know thanks so much again to yous all if I could leave a million stars I would thank you and I look forward to getting out there

Fantastic experience: Completed my CBT, Mod 1 and Mod 2 with TTR. I had to resit my mod one due to an error that I made on the test ground, it was nothing to do with the instruction. Keith was calm and helpful and ensured that I had enough practice to get through the second time around…… The mod two was passed first time. Big shout out to Kenny as well who took me for my CBT, a very patient and knowledgeable guy, and to Mary who arranged all of my tests, and the retest, and kept me informed, Thanks again I really appreciate it and would recommend TTR to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Geared bike CBT completed today, after never riding a geared motorbike. I was terrible on my original day and they would not let me ride out as I was not safe, but they were right not to let me. They didn't give up on me and gave me 2 hours extra training and practice in the yard, then invited me back another day for the ride out. This was today, I felt much safer and confident, and had a really pleasant ride out. I feel confident to get a bike and build on what they taught me.

Fantastic experience: After previously doing my CBT with another company and not having the best experience, I have put off redoing it again as lost my confidence, but took the plunge and booked in with TTR as I've heard good things, from the minute I arrived I was made to feel at ease and explained my previous experience and they helped build my confidence and ease the nerves, Joanne and Kenny were really calming and talked me through and gave demonstration of what they wanted me to do, even if I asked more than once how to do something they just showed me and explained again with no issues at all. had a great day full of information and training , went back today to finish off with my ride out and Joanne took me out and I felt so at ease as they give you the information and knowledge to feel safe on the road. Fantastic experience: Where to start I had the joys of being under 2 instructors both Jo and Kenny and all I can say about them is that they both have a seriously good knowledge of motorcycle riding and I'm glad I used TTR because I went into my CBT thinking it would be a walk in the park and that was clearly not the case I was very nervous at first and couldn't grasp some key points but upon doing a extra half day that soon changed both Jo and Kenny are very clear and patient with riders I'll definitely be using TTR in the near future for my DAS such great staff. Fantastic experience: did my CBT today with jo and i passed due to the way jo showed me what to do and were i was going wrong and how to correct it she is an amazing teacher and a great credit to TTR Rider Training.

Fantastic experience: I recently did my CBT and Jo and Kenny are Brilliant. Understanding and very knowledgeable. I would recommend this training course to anyone wanting to learn how to ride from a 50cc and higher.

Fantastic experience: At ttr I received some of the best training a care from Joe she helped me learn at my own pace. Went out on a lovely ride around a beautiful area and was always making sure I was safe. Would recommend her for anyone who struggles with any learning difficulties. 10/10
