Fantastic experience: Very good experience, knowledgeable staff that gives great advice, it's a calm environment and they're honest and straight forward, safety is very important to them as well which is a bonus.

Negative experience: I don’t usually write Google reviews, but this company has significant room for improvement. 1) Communication is a challenge. Reaching someone by phone is nearly impossible. Emails? Sure, but waiting a couple of days for a response is unacceptable. 2) It took three weeks to get a refund for a lesson I never attended. That’s way too long. 3) The listed address is misleading. They aren’t actually located there—you’ll need to travel out of the city. This can be a huge inconvenience, especially for those without a car. 4) I had a test scheduled in the morning, but no one showed up. I spent an hour at their premises trying to reach someone. Eventually, they managed to reschedule my test for the following week, and that part went fine. However, the whole situation was extremely unprofessional and did nothing to compensate for the two-hour drive I made from London that morning.

Fantastic experience: Just took my cbt here. I did a cbt 2 years ago somewhere else and it was standard but the guys at indie motorcycle are the best instructors you could ask for. Highly highly recommend for first time riders who feel any nerves, they will be settled very quick. Also amazing for experienced riders who have had previous cbts. 10/10 day

Fantastic experience: I did both my CBT and my DAS with indie, they've been extremely supportive and friendly, but also professional and made sure I was riding safely when training me. Both Sav and James have made me feel really confident riding the bikes and calmed my nerves. I passed both mod 1 and mod 2 first tries thanks to their great training! Would definitely recommend, especially as a woman as they didn't treat me any differently because of it. Thank you guys!

I've just been for my CBT and it was an absolute delight being taught by the instructors James and sal. I've honestly would recommend this place to anyone looking to get there CBT or test training done.

Fantastic experience: After having a bit of a rushed CBT with a different school, I communicated how I didn’t feel as confident and would need some more training to feel safe. I was so happy speaking to someone on the phone who was so understanding of the situation and helped me find what I needed and sorted it out with no problem. James being my instructor for the session was amazing. Super patient and listened to my concerns whilst putting no pressure on me which relieved me of my anxiety and able to successfully do all the manoeuvres needed. Really pleased and looking forward to doing my A2 here in the future!

Fantastic experience: Manual CBT completed here 08/09/2024 This was my second time attempting the CBT course after a previous course at a different provider 6 years ago that I had passed, but had a learning experience so rough I stuck to car driving afterwards. Coming into this I had done some work to prepare on scooters and a manual bike. I was still nervous revisiting the CBT especially since it was supposed to rain. What a revelation! The instructors got to know everyone and their their passion for riding translated into care for people riding safely. The atmosphere was friendly, professional - there were no snide comments and bantering about other road users, be they elderly drivers in Nissan Micras or Cyclists. There were a variety of people at different experience levels and age groups, from teenagers, cyclists, motorists and while we were mostly blokes there was a lady among us too. Despite the rain, the instructors remained patient, everyone's spirits stayed intact and the quality of instruction was good enough that all 8 attendees came away with a certificate. I would recommend you give Indie a try and I would be open to coming back for the direct access course. As someone who probably needed more seat time and confidence building before going I would say to anyone going with no experience and anxiety to be open to not passing first time but not giving up because all seat time is valuable and useful.

Fantastic experience: Probably the best training I have ever received. From CBT to MOD2 (Even made the infamous list...) James and Sav were on top of it all. They understand every individual and communicate extremely well! P.S If you pick another company you are wrong.

Fantastic experience: Second time taking the CBT first time I was not quite ready. I had a amazing experience both times first was just getting used to a manual bike as never ridden a motorbike before. Second time I felt much more confident and felt more natural riding and changing gears, I am a bit of an old timer started late in life but what an experience. Fantastic experience: Passed my CBT under the guidance of James. Following that I undertook the conversion to a manual bike and finally Sav and James were my instructors for my direct access course. I passed my Mod 1 and 2 with no minors and now have my full A licence -absolutely chuffed to bits! All in the space of a few weeks too. Fantastic training. Sav and James are great at building confidence for new riders - needed when jumping on a 650cc machine for the first time in the pouring rain! Thanks fellas Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Excellent overall experience, my instructor, Dave, was fabulous and very supportive. Did my CBT yesterday in Tunbridge Wells with Indie Motorcycle Training. As a first time motorcycle rider and it was a flawless experience. My instructor, Dave, was very supportive, helpful and gave excellent tips throughout the day. I found his sense of humour and enthusiastic attitude very encouraging, which helped calm any nerves I had. He was clearly very experienced in real-life riding and had lots of key knowledge that you wouldn't find everywhere. The facilities were nice also, we had a nice indoor classroom to go through the theory aspects as well as some nice outdoor areas to sit in during lunch. As well as this, the geared motorcycle of choice was a Kawasaki Z125 which was a joy to learn on and felt very nice to ride, even with my lack of experience. To anyone considering doing their CBT, I would wholeheartedly recommend as it was great fun and a valuable experience, particularly with Indie.

Sav was my trainer for a 4 day pack and he was brilliant in not just coaching about essentials to be a good rider, he also gave a much broader perspective of hazard perception and being proactive on the road in picking up key information...overall a great experience and would recommend Indie for anyone who is keen to go through the process..thanks to James too, amazing guy with varied experience, gave some good tips on the day of Mod2 test...I'm a very proud full license holder now....cheers to Indie...

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Indie training enough. I was so tense getting on they made me feel so relaxed with their calm demeanour. This was my second time with them, and I passed. It is so reassuring that they will not put you out there unless they are confident with your ability. Your safety is paramount to them and they should be held in high regard for this. Fantastic experience: I did both my CBT and Direct Access Training with James and Sav and can recommend them without hesitation. I decided to take the training in the cold and wet of February and despite this they were enthusiastic, patient and kind throughout my training. They prepared me well for both my tests and not only was the training thorough, they made it fun as well.

Fantastic experience: Did my A2 to A upgrade, had one day full training with sav which was helpful as my last test was 3 years ago. Any questions were answered and any errors I made were corrected so the training really helped me a lot. The weather was cold and pouring it down but a stop at Starbucks & McDonald’s throughout the day for some food, warmth and a chat really made it better! I rode the z650 which was very comfortable as the seat height is low and easy to ride. Finished my module 2 today, I felt really comfortable on the road and I got the pass. Thanks guys.

Fantastic experience: Took a 3h practical lesson as a refresher to get back on the bike after 21 years of not riding. The ride went perfectly and gave me exactly what I was after: a bit of guided support and some advanced riding tips to help me get back into the swing of things.

Fantastic experience: I completed my mod 1 and mod 2 with James and Sav. I also had a few extra training days. I really enjoyed the training and found both instructors were really calm , encouraging and patient. The schools motorbikes are in good condition and really nice to ride. The days out on the road are lots of fun and we stopped at some nice cafes etc that provided a good chance to look at bikes! I would highly recommend this motorcycle school for anyone that is looking for expert tuition with relaxed and friendly vibe.

Fantastic experience: These guys are great. Make it fun but informative and train you to a really high standard to make the test feel a lot easier than you expect. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for both CBT and full licence. Oh and quality kit to use as well.

Fantastic experience: I training with Indie for both my CBT and full licence. I can not rate them highly enough. They are very knowledgeable and easily adapt their training style to suit any ability level. I also had great fun. I highly recommend choosing Indie.

Fantastic experience: Took my CBT today (26/11/23) and the experience was fantastic. Had a group of two which was perfect as there was a geared and an auto test at the same time. Everything was explained very clearly, even demonstrates which you don’t get at most other centres. Great road training as well, clear instructions but let you ride instead of talking the whole time like some others. Lovely bikes as well took the CBT on a Z125 which made for an even better experience. 5/5 easily!

Fantastic experience: I am abit late on my review, but I would Highley recommend this place , not only do the instructors take care of you and are always happy to answer any questions , but you get to joke around with them and ride some motorcycles, what can be any better than that

Long process from CBT to theory & hazard perception to mod 1 to today, all with the instruction, guidance and support of Sav and James at Indie MCT. Great guys, excellent instructors, and the right outcome - can’t ask for more than that!

Fantastic experience: Great instructors with a nice assortment of training vehicles. Had one single day of training to assess how much I would need and subsequently booked another 3 day course (2 days training and 2 half days for mod 1 and mod 2). Training itself was quite relaxing and confidence building. Both Sav and Ian are very knowledgeable and are happy to give you advice to help you gain the skills needed to get your licence. Will be back with my brother to get him back into biking after his 20 year break from it and would absolutely recommend this team for your bike training needs. Edit 27.12.23: Came back for a "back to riding" training with my brother who hasn't sat on a big bike for well over a decade. It was again a great training day, which built up a lot of confidence in his riding abilities and we also went over some more advanced riding techniques (counter steering and limit points), so even I learned a lot on this outing. Sav again was a great instructor and made the day feel less like training and more like a day out with friends (even though we still learnt a lot). Would absolutely reccomend people to get some advanced training here because it will help you be a better rider!

Fantastic experience: I have recently completed both my CBT and DAS training with Indie. Sav and James create a fun, friendly and relaxed environment and their knowledge about all things biking is second to none. I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience with them and now I have passed my full bike test I’m almost sad my training is over. I could not recommend Indie highly enough!

Fantastic experience: There is a reason they're 5 star! I previously failed my Mod 2 with another school and life got so busy that i hadn't been on a bike in months - I then took 1 Mod2 lesson with Sav and then passed my Mod 2 two days later! I would recommend this school to anyone who is doing their bike licence. I learnt alot and now have my licence.

Fantastic experience: I went to Indie for my CBT then the 5 day intensive course. Both Sav and James were fantastic and both train in different styles which compliment each other beautifully. They were very supportive and made learning feel like a group rude for the day and not lessons. Both of them supported me in passing my module 1 and 2 first time effortlessly. They focus on being safe on the road and attempt to prepare you for as much as possible not just passing your tests. Each session was a brilliant ride out and they are very knowledgeable.

They really want you to succeed but they won't compromise safety for it. As someone who felt their first CBT course was a disaster, and almost didn't go back, they were brilliant when I tried again and really supportive. Full of good humour, down to earth and just generally a great bunch of people. Looking forward now to getting my miles in on a 125 then going back to Indie for my Direct Access.

He was great to be around and helped me iron out all my imperfections whilst still making it an enjoyable experience. He was really knowledgable and had a brilliant attitude towards riding and teaching. Fantastic experience: Can’t Thank Indie enough, I had been struggling to pass my Mod 1 with another school and kept failing. After putting getting my license off, I found indie and booked a course. First day I had Sav who was brilliant, then James for the rest. Both really helpful instructors, really made learning like riding with mates. Passed both Mod 1 and 2 first time with them, can’t recommend them enough. Choose the right school and it can be done, will be back for DAS

Extremely patient, gave very good advice without being condescending, and overall made sure everyone felt comfortable on the bikes. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get started or doing their full license :)

Fantastic experience: Thoroughly enjoyed my training with James - he's an awesome and very knowledgeable instructor. Most importantly, all three days felt like I was riding around picturesque Kent with my friends (whilst actually learning how to ride and getting valuable feedback), as opposed to just getting dry theoretical advice on what to do or what not to do, as I did on my CBT course in London. Fantastic experience: Great service from start to finish. Did my CBT on one of the Yamaha 125cc. Bike was great to practice on and complete the test. The instructors coached well giving lots of good advice.
