I can honestly say that the tips, advice and pointers from 2 Robs and Mark were invaluable, as well as being decent down to earth blokes. The bikes provided for training and test days were easy to handle and just the right size for the job. When I went to theirs office at first I meet fantastic help and advise from the beginning....just wanted to find out what need to do to make a license.....end up signing for CBT training with Max who was very professional and whos help and understanding of that I was just a beginner pushed me to do next step.....I started to believe I can do it.....I made big bike upgrade with Rob. After this and his advise passion to riding and sharing knowledge i started to learn from Rob as much as I could. Negative experience: Here is my experience. I did my CBT training on a "twist n go." I later decided to do further training to obtain my full license. I did the Big Bike upgrade earlier in the year and on that day it was very heavy torrential rain throughout the whole lesson. Visibility was very poor and it really was not conducive to learning. Neither Suffolk Rider Training admin or the instructor postponed the lesson. It was a complete waste of my time and money. As a result I continued to have confusion over gear changes and how to brake properly. I kid you not, and this was a result of that so called lesson. I did my MOD 1 training (and these things were still in evidence). I then paid for another lesson before taking my MOD 2 which i failed for "Going too wide" out of a junction. When the examiner explained this to me properly I realised that this is a bad habit and error I consistently did. However, this was never fully picked up during my lessons, explained, corrected and practiced to help eliminate this bad habit in readiness for my test. I contacted admin at Suffolk Rider Training about this and after various emails I found the individual concerned to be seemingly non-chalant and dismissive. He also said that this was "A common fault." What he could not seem to comprehend though is that if proper observation and instruction was given, then surely this should not be a "common fault"? It should never occur during a test situation. I have paid (like we all do) a lot of my hard earned money to do my motorbike training and I feel very let down. I personally will be going to another training school because I have lost faith in Suffolk Rider Training. I'm just wondering how many others have had similar experiences but never written a review about it? Thinking about it though, it is a business, and all businesses rely on a steady stream of money coming in. If someone fails then it is not their loss. It is the loss of the individual who fails and will have to pay out another £100 plus..

Fantastic experience: Excellent riding school Attended a CBT course as a complete beginner. Instructors Dave & Max were very knowledgeable, informative, calm. They both give excellent classrooms lessons and even better practical training. I was very nervous to start and both instructors put me at ease, offering tips and tweaks to make my riding better. Weather was quite hot (23 Degrees ) So we had opportunities for breaks if we needed it. The other members of the team when we returned were also very friendly and informative of any questions the group had either about bikes in general or about the big bike upgrade. 4 people attended my CBT and all 4 of us were happy with today's content and are already looking at upgrading to the big big licence. Well done and thank you, highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Suffolk Rider Training. Within just 2 months, with no prior experience at all other than riding pillion, I successfully passed my Mod 2 exam and am now fully licensed! I did everything from CBT, Big Bike Upgrade, 2 full training days, Mod 1 exam and Mod 2. I passed both with no faults at all. They also helped with advice regarding boots for the slightly shorter rider and options for lowering a bike so i felt comfortable riding. The whole team were very professional and friendly. Sorry I am rubbish with names but thanks to everyone at SRT, I know there were a lot of Robs!

Great team of very experienced and personable instructors who teach you what you need to know to be both safe and pass. Fantastic experience: Amazing as always. Great service when in the centre with Karen, so polite and lovely. Confidence building and safe learning in the carpark training with Simon. And Justin was absolutely great on road ride, safe and fun! I'm definitely doing my full licence with them!! Now I have also completed my DAS with Rob, the greatness continues. He was an epic coach. Also, big shout to the other Rob during the BBU, really really useful coaching. Great balance between helping you past a test, while actually making you a better and safer rider.

Fantastic experience: First off I can not put into words how much I would recommend Suffolk Rider Training, From my first steps through the door being greeted by the lovely staff and Graham walking James and I through the necessary steps to get our full A licenses. To are CBT with Max who clearly and precisely guided us through to the necessary level to continue are training on the bigger 650s, and how can i forget the WONDERFUL Shirley (forgive me if i miss spelt) who took us through are main 2 day corse with her taste in music being second to none along with the use of her helpful nagging (In a delightful way) managed to get me through my Mod1 and Mod2 without a single minor. To the rest of the team who i haven’t mentioned you have not been forgotten in the part you played helping me achieve my license so i would just like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for being so friendly and a pleasure to learn from God Bless and stay safe. Fantastic experience: Passed my mod 2 today. All thanks to these guys! Instructors are all fantastic! Max and Justin, who did my CBT were very friendly and helpful and really put me at ease after having not been on a bike for 10 years. Luke, who did my pre course big bike upgrade really gave me a confidence boost in my own abilities. And Rob who did my direct access training, was outstanding. He was very patient and calm, and I couldn't have passed without him. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get their license. Will definitely return to do some more courses in the future.

Fantastic experience: I took my CBT here with Justin. The quality of his teaching was exceptional. Everything in both the practical and theory sections was explained very clearly and concisely. This not only made the theory quick and easy to digest, but also the breaking down and method of teaching of the practical skills made it easy to get riding comfortably , safely and confidently quickly. The teaching of points regarding safety and awareness was very well done, which only added to feeling more safe and comfortable while riding. Teaching you how to be safe on a bike is one of the most important things when riding a bike, and here this really stood out as a strong point. Even for car driving, I am sure taking this course would make you a better, more aware and more considerate driver. While keeping everything safe and being firm and professional, Justin also made the day very fun and was very patient and kind with us getting the hang of riding. Along with the exceptional standard of all the 'serious' stuff, the whole day was brilliantly fun, relaxed and friendly. I definitely hope to come back in the future ! Thank you !

Fantastic experience: My CBT TEST was with Stephen and this was my 3rd time with suffolk rider training I have been with another company before but had bad experience i won't name the company but I wasn't best pleased. Stephen made me feel very comfortable as it was just me and him on the road and everything went nice and smoothly thanks for Stephen although it's my 3rd time with suffolk rider training Stephen taught me things the I never knew so I will keep everything on board what he has told me and now I feel confident going in for my motorbike Test. Fantastic experience: Went for my 2nd or 3rd CBT renewal today and as always with Suffolk rider training their instructors are very professional and they will tell you where your going wrong, and where to improve until you get it right, but also praise you when you’re doing really well! My instructor Simon was brilliant today with going over things and making sure I was doing alright with bike checks etc. Overall nice chap to talk to and hopefully will be back for the big bike upgrade soon!

Fantastic experience: Ah man where do I start. I booked 2 weeks in advance which was pretty quick for a Saturday booking. Due to a family emergency I either had to reschedule or try to shorten my CBT. They made it clear that we would have to follow rules, and abide by laws (I didn’t expect any less) but as long as the instructor was satisfied and we met all requirements of the CBT, I would have it. If not I’d have to return for further training (which of course I didn’t mind). Luckily I had a little bit of experience with automatic scooters in the past, and have been preparing for my motorbike theory test as well, so I managed to fly through. We started at 8 and by 1:30 I had the certificate in my hand. I informed the team that I would have to leave early in the day, and they were so accommodating, that I got my own instructor! Stephen was amazing, thorough, kind and just a well rounded mentor. Someone I hope to keep in touch with over my motorbike progression journey. An absolute 5 stars from me and I will definitely be going back for the big bike stuff after my theory.

Fantastic experience: I was really anxious when I arrived and worried I wouldn't pass, but the one to one CBT I had with Justin was fantastic. He reassured me and gave me clear instructions and good advice. He was extremely patient. If you have anxiety, I would highly recommend both Justin and the 1 to 1. All the staff are really friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: CBT completed today 26/06/24 very informative enjoyable experience. Centred around road awareness and rider safety in every facet. Would recommend Kevin and SRT to anyone thinking of getting on a bike as your first mode of transport or like me making the change after 12 years of car driving. Note: Personal choice of course but I don’t recommend hottest day of the year! Sweaty is understating it!

Fantastic experience: Lovely riding school! Would definitely recommend! Everyone is super friendly and were super helpful guiding me to passing my A license. Luke helped me pass my Mod 1 and gave me a handful of tips when coming to doing the U-turn and Figure of 8 which I will now use when out and about. Amazing team and thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: Had a really fun day doing my CBT with the team here - very organise, friendly and down to earth staff. I did mine with Kevin and he was a superb instructor. He explained everything with detail but also taking into consideration our lower knowledge of bikes and was very patient when doing practical stuff. Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend this company enough all of the instructors are polite professional and really help you I was a noob coming into a motorbike with no experience going for my A2 and they helped me along the way giving me advice and pointing me in the right direction of how to pass and be a better rider. And to top it all off they have a laugh with you but if you want a bike license this company if the one you go to. Thanks aswell for your patient and time

Fantastic experience: Had a great time today with a very patient Max on a 1-1 basis for my 125cc CBT. He was knowledgable and very patient (especially when I got cramp twice early on and had to stop not long into the final 2 hour ride). Will be returning for a big bike upgrade at some point once improved my riding skills.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant training from Suffolk Rider Training for my CBT, MOD1 and MOD2 tests. I did mine as 2-3 hour lessons over a few months as that suited my learning style better and SRT were really accommodating. I had various trainers during that time and they were all great! Can’t recommend highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I completed my CBT with Suffolk rider training today All of the instructors I met were lovely and the lady who greeted me in reception was equally lovely, they all made it a great experience I was quite nervous at first because I had little to no experience on a moped and very little experience on the road (only experience on a push bike ) my instructor Nigel was fantastic and let me go at my own pace, he made me feel completely at ease and was very good explaining any mistakes and any little improvements I can make going forward absolutely would recommend to anyone who wants ride and is nervous... they will help you! will 100% use them again. Thank you guys!
