Fantastic experience: I have just had my 2023 Honda CB500X, supplied by CJ Ball, in their workshop to investigate an intermittent vibration. Through determination and expertise they found and cured the problem. Although it is a 500 mile round trip from Wiltshire to Norwich I will always use their services and buy my bikes only from them. All the staff are friendly, professional and very helpful and it is a real pleasure to do business with them. I wouldn't use any other motorcycle shop. If you are looking for a new or used Honda or Suzuki then give CJ Ball a try. You will not be disappointed. Six stars out of 5 every time.

Fantastic experience: I initially got my CBT through CJ Ball, found their training space as well as rental gear and bikes to be excellent. The instructor(Donna) on the CBT was patient and very knowledgable with tips and tricks. After completing the CBT I undertook the conversion course to get used to bigger bikes, which I found to be a really useful time to get up to speed with the bigger more powerful bikes. I followed this up with the mod 1 and mod 2 training. Again the instructor(Nathan) was very knowledgable and was able to give excellent pointers to guide me through the bike handling and manuouvers needed for Mod 1 and then clear, useful guidance for the road riding needed for the Mod 2. Happy to say that I passed both modules and am now bike hunting

Fantastic experience: Having purchased my very first motorbike (ex-training bike CB125F) from C J Ball, I knew I would use them to gain my full licence. Both Ray and Nath are brilliant trainers. I'm not a confident rider but Nath encouraged me all through the MOD 1 and Ray through the MOD 2 training. Their support and encouragement has definitely increased my confidence on the bike. I'm vertically challenged but they made sure I had a lowered bike for all my training and tests, a lovely new Honda Hornet 750. I'm so happy to say I passed both MOD's first time. So thank you so much, Ray and Nath, for all your help, support and encouragement. I'd recommend anyone wanting to gain their full licence to go learn with these guys!

Fantastic experience: I went from never having touched a motorcycle to passing my CBT, Theory, Mod 1 and Mod 2 all within 7 months with CJ Ball & Son (the theory test is done externally). All the instructors were very experienced, friendly and were keen to share their knowledge. I went into every test fully prepared and confident that I had all the skills I needed to pass each stage. I didn't need to have any equipment because all the gear is provided. The Mod 1 & 2 is also done on a CB750 Honda Hornet which is a very exciting bike to learn on.

Fantastic experience: Me and my wife both did our cbt, my wife is a new rider and was very apprehensive, all the staff were excellent, really helpful, friendly and understanding. Our instructor Donna was exceptional, patient and understanding very encouraging but also funny and made the whole day a great experience.

Positive experience: So far so good. Their service department run by Lewis is very helpful in suggesting solutions. I've just put my Suzuki bike in for service so we'll see how they do. Not sure yet what the cost will be because there's some unusual stuff to do. They've promised to let me know what the situation is, after they've fully examined it. So- leave this review open, until everything is done.

Fantastic experience: Well what can I say?! An absolutely amazing experience! from that first day when I decided to pop in and enquire about doing my DAS training to the day I collected my brand new bike, I’ve had nothing but an amazing experience with C J Ball and the training and sales team! My MOD 1 and MOD 2 training with Ray and Nath was great fun and as a notorious flapper, when it came to my MOD1 and MOD2 tests they really put my mind at ease, great instructors and really down to earth guys, even giving me some extra training when I needed it (this is offered through there guaranteed pass scheme). I decided to go for a Honda CB650R not only as it’s a great looking bike but also the fact Honda give you £500 back towards either a new Honda or the kit you’ll need when you get on the road so it was a no brainier really, Chris, Rob and the team when to extreme lengths to get the bike I wanted and al the extra bits sorted for the bike and couldn’t be happier with my new bike, after care has been second to none as in a week I’ve already done 600mile so is now due it’s first service and they managed to fit me in with a time that suits me, not easy when it’s the season for bikes, if I could give them 6 stars I would, I highly recommend anyone to do there full bike licence through C J Ball.

Fantastic experience: Oh my goodness … I did a thing!! I went and completed my CBT @CJ Ball with Donna as my instructor yesterday. After years of being a pillion princess I felt now was the time to get behind the gears for myself and I’m so happy I did. I was so nervous and had ZERO experience but Donna was incredible. She put my mind at ease with her great sense of humour and warm encouraging tone. Her patience was second to none. Thank you so much for making this experience so much fun and allowing me the confidence to ride for myself. I look forward to seeing all the guys at CJ Ball for my full bike license in the near future.

Fantastic experience: I started my motorbike journey as a complete novice, and having to take my CBT on an automatic bike due to nerves! However, I plucked up the courage to do my conversion onto the 650cc bike with the wonderful Ray and never looked back! I soon booked my MOD 1 and had success first time! Then again with the help and brilliant advice and instruction from Ray, sailed through my MOD 2. I cannot recommend C J Balls highly enough, very supportive from start to finish, a wonderful team of instructors. Nathan, Donna and Ray gave me the confidence to see my dreams come true after wanting to learn to ride a motorbike for so many years and finally seeing it happen! I now have all the knowledge and confidence I need to be safe and happy on the roads. Thank you C J Balls and team.

Fantastic experience: I’ve completed my CBT June 2024 and it was a fantastic experience! I was with instructor Donna and had a very easy and comfortable day with her and another learner. I had 0 bike experience (other than a taster course with them earlier this year) and I’m naturally a pretty anxious person so it was daunting to take the plunge and book my training, but it couldn’t have gone better! Big thanks to all the guys at CJ&Ball and I’d definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

Fantastic experience: In order to be able to have my own transport abroad I needed to obtain a bike licence. I only went through the process for an automatic and with work commitments it did take me a while, however at every step of the way I was fully supported by all 3 instructors, Ray, Nathan & Donna, from the CBT to both bike modules. Thanks especially to Ray, whose quiet and encouraging comments helped me pass the final test. Anyone wishing to take their bike licence, I can't recommend them highly enough.

Fantastic experience: Popped in on Saturday afternoon to seek some information about a bike I had recently bought and a member of staff behind the counter called Tyler was extremely helpful .

Negative experience: I went in for a pretty simple key coding and everything went okay as they brought the bike out I noticed a bolt missing from my panel and went back in their to get someone to sort the problem out he spent 5 minutes attempting to put it in and after said "I'm not doing it I haven't got the time " I could've let this go but 5 days later my battery died let's just say every bolt was loose that they touched including my positive to my battery causing me to not start it these mechanics do not know what they are doing because they can't put bikes back together I won't be coming back again very bad mechanics

Fantastic experience: I’ve just had my VFR A.9 collected, MOT’d and serviced. Top class customer service, communication and not as much as I’d thought it would be! Honest appraisal of battery condition and NO coercion to buy or do anything other than asked or advised. Lewis was and is The Man! (This was over a Bank Holiday weekend!)

Fantastic experience: I took my motorcycle for it's annual service and to have some parts fitted that I was given for Xmas. A clean waiting area, with free coffee and a viewing window so you can see your bike being worked on. The technician working on my bike found a nail in my tyre, a repair was carried out, along with the service and parts fitted within the time window I was given. Friendly staff, good service and reasonably priced, I know where my motorcycle is going from now on.

Fantastic experience: From 1st contact with Colin to picking the bike up was an absolute pleasure. Colin even arranged for someone to pick me up from the train station as I travelled from west yorkshire. Bike was perfect as described with the little extras that I was not expecting.. fresh mot.full tank. And optimate lead fitted. The 4 hour ride home was great and the bike didn't miss a beat.

I passed both mod 1 and 2 with them, the instructors are great, always making you feel at ease. The training area is big enough to practice your slow speed control with no problem. Fantastic experience: Rob from sales team is very good cant thank cj balls enough easy process to trade my bike in and get a new bike Rob even made the effort to pick my bike up from my house cause weather wasn't great thank you again Rob and the team

Positive experience: This training package for the Full A licence includes a conversion session and MOD1 and MOD2 training and tests (not including CBT). This is not cheap, not necessarily anymore expensive than other places, but from my perspective the training could be presented more professionally and more organised, but it all seemed a bit rushed at times. It would also be handy to have some time spent on visual information of the tests and what is expected at the beginning of each course. The space at the shop to perform Mod 1 manoeuvres combined with CBT lessons is restrictive. The instructors are very knowledgeable and the training I would say is probably sufficient to get most people to pass, but I think there is potential for an excellent service with a revamp of this side of CJ Ball. However if you want to purchase a bike from Colin at Suzuki as I did, then you will get excellent service.

This included the Honda have a go day, CBT, conversion day, Mod 1 training and test followed by Mod 2 training and test. The experience and knowledge of the training team is superb. This allowed me to pass both parts of my bike licenses with zero rider faults! Can’t thank these guys enough!

Fantastic experience: Passed my Mod 1 & Mod 2 first time, after a great conversion session and 5 CBT’s over 10 years. Couldn’t recommend CJBall more, they have never let me down. My Mod 1 & 2 with Ray couldn’t have gone better, a rider is only as good as their instructor and I couldn’t fault Ray at all. Nathan has also been fantastic during this process. If you’re looking to do your full test, purchase a bike/parts or any kind of training I would suggest CJBall.

Special thanks to Nathan for getting me through my Mod 1 and Ray for the Mod 2. Both very knowledgeable and excellent trainers. I will return at some point to do the advanced riding course.

Fantastic experience: Had an absolutely fabulous day ! I’d never ridden a motorcycle before and within no time at all Donna had me up to speed. Donna was brilliant, very friendly and professional. I couldn’t speak highly enough of the training I received and look forward to going on to get my full motorcycle license with C J Ball.
