Fantastic experience: I had the amazing experience of being taught by Anne-Marie. She always made sure that I was comfortable and gave me the time, trust and confidence that I needed even if I didn’t feel like I had any. She was always patient with me and guided me through my mistakes and never once made me feel as if I’m incapable. I was also lucky enough to pass my test first time which I wouldn’t have been able to do without her support. I am extremely thankful for Anne-Marie and the time she took to teach me, honestly wish I could be taught forever. I’d recommend her a 1000x over, she’s an extraordinary person and a wonderful instructor. ❤️

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend A+ driving academy and instructor Barry Moffat. Barry was patient and professional and a great driving instructor who u could also have a laugh with. Barry’s help and knowledge helped me to pass first time. I would highly recommend learning with Barry if you are looking for a first time pass.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant experience with A+ and Instructor Derren Crawford. Derren is very calm and patient, he explains everything you need to know in good detail and explains it in a way that suits you. Every learner is different so it's good to have someone that can adapt to you and help you get through your test. Top man would highly recommend. Thanks again.

Fantastic experience: A+ Driving Academy have been a fantastic service from the moment I first contacted them, right up until passing my test. They have a range of drivers available in Derry City and I was given choice of who to learn with as they became available. I had the absolute pleasure of learning to drive with Derren Crawford who was a fantastic instructor; very knowledgeable with a really amazing teaching technique. From the moment I first stepped in the car, Derren really took the time to learn about me as driver individually and what my strengths and weaknesses were. Learning with this instructor was an absolute breeze and I felt like he genuinely wanted to get the best out of me as a driver. Within just 3 months I managed to pass my test first time with on 2 minors, which was such an achievement. I can't recommend A+ and Derren in particular enough. Fantastic experience: My son just passed his test with Gordy 1st time today. My son was a very cautious driver an over thinker and Gordy was amazing with him. A great teacher, really put him at ease with everything. Had him at junction one roundabout at 5pm on his first lesson. I have to say I think he'll miss the weekly banter with him, he was so easy going and chatted the whole lesson, he really took the nerves away for my son. When I learned years ago the instructor never spoke much. Gordy thanks so much for getting Dan on the on the roads

Negative experience: I wish to share my thoughts on a driving instructor (Ballymena/Antrim area). **Please note my low rating relates to the driving instructor in question, and not the company or it's other drivers** The following happened a couple of days ago, and upon giving it some more thought, I think it should be flagged up for obvious reasons.. I am a professional driver myself, and drive coaches up to 45ft long. I love the job which I have been doing for 20yrs now. I consider myself courteous and take pride in doing so. So on Monday 11th September I was driving a coach to Belfast out of Ballymena. Upon reaching the Ballee roundabout (which is notorious for causing issues as oncoming visibility is obscured with trees) I patiently waited an opportunity to enter the roundabout and join the A26 southbound. Traffic was unusually heavy for a Monday mid-afternoon, however after an approximate 1 minute wait I saw a couple of cars indicating left to exit off roundabout for Ballymena town direction. So being clear of traffic heading my direction I realised the handbrake of my 17 ton coach and accelerated foot to floor. Albeit in such a vehicle this is quite slow. After around 10 -15 foot of entering the roundabout & being fully committed, a small yellow car appeared into vision travelling the inner lane of roundabout driving at a very fast pace. I soon noticed that it was a single occupied A+ driving school car. As my window was already down, I signalled a friendly hands up wave - which usually gains a sympathetic response in such a situation, however the driver merely blared his horn in an aggressive manner. I could not believe that this was being carried out 'of all people' by a driving instructor!! Driving instructors ask all motorists to be sympathetic, understanding and to be patient. However this one lacked in all said areas. I was able to see his number plate, and a passenger (who was equally shocked) wrote it down. I beeped back in a bid to alert him of his irresponsible action, and continued on my way. SEVEN passengers on disembarking commented on his appalling driving & actions. My experience of driving instructors is very high, however Mr Derek O'Mullan is definitely an exception to this. Poor show Derek, I am sure you seek patience etc from others, but Derek this has to go both ways. Hopefully your deficiency improves and fast.

Fantastic experience: Would recommend Derren 1000%, my nerves always got the better of me during my lessons and he was calm and talked me through everything. Couldn’t have asked for a better instructor

Fantastic experience: I passed my test today 1st time with great results. My driving instructor was absolutely fantastic, a guy named Uel.. had great patience, made you always feel at ease while learning which meant a lot being someone who is anxious and being an older learner driver. I cannot thank him enough for getting to this point , making a huge step in life to benefit myself and my kids. I cannot recommend A+ enough, the training the instructors have and knowledge they pass on is the best you will get. Hence there amazing pass rates. I cannot thank Uel enough for everything. I don't have Facebook where most reveiws are left , but if you are thinking of learning to drive.. this is the company you go to in the North coast. It's changed my life now and opened up many opportunities for both my children and I. Amazing!

Fantastic experience: I passed my driving test on 10th of may this year 2018 I was taught by the brilliant John who is calm and a lovely person who has bucket loads of patience and ended every lesson on a positive I passed my theory and practical 1st time and feel confident to be out driving my own car thanks to the driving skills I learn with joh at a+ Highly recommend this driving school Am 45 years old colour blind, hard of hearing and mild dyslexia so I wasn’t easy to teach but aplus got me on the road with a 1st time pass
