Fantastic experience: I found Paul to be a fantastic driving instructor he was very patient and thorough, and helped me pass my driving test. At the end of each lesson he would give a break down of my performance and together we would plan the next lesson, so that I could work on things I wasn't so confident doing. It probably helps that Paul is an ex traffic cop, so he has more knowledge than the average driving instructor about road safety and situations you can come across on the road. I'd also like to add that Paul was very accommodating with the times of my lessons and pick up drop off locations to help me fit them in around child care i.e picking me up from my daughter's pre-school to start the lesson. I would highly recommend Jam Sandwich school of motoring (Paul Jackson) Thanks again Paul for getting me on the road!

Fantastic experience: I passed my driving test first time with zero minors thanks to Paul’s excellent instruction. He’s patient, professional, and really knows how to build confidence behind the wheel. Even after my test, he’s been incredibly supportive, helping me sort out a refund with the DVSA. Couldn’t recommend him enough!

Fantastic experience: I am newly past driver who learnt with Paul and past with Paul teaching me and instructing me on all my driving. I have to say Paul is one of the best driving instructors that I have ever heard of. He was very polite with everything he had to say about my driving and when I had booked my test in very short notice (a week after it being booked) Paul was able to accommodate for me needing some more driving lessons and then letting me use his car to take me test in. I recommend Paul to anyone learning to drive as he knows what to do and how to help you pass a test.

Fantastic experience: As a parent, I cannot recommend JSSM more highly. We have already asked Paul to teach our second son. Paul is patient, professional and gives consistently clear instructions. I am particularly impressed by the reflective notes shared via an app after each lesson. I’m convinced this improved my son’s learning outcomes and driving best practice. I believe £60/hr is for ‘one off’ bookings but if you block book 5 or 10 lessons at a time, you get a discount. Well worth the extra. Beware! Cheaper is not always better. Quality of teaching is more important. Certainly worked for my son and he passed first time! Thank you Paul.

Negative experience: I would not recommend Mr Jackson sadly. Firstly he is quite expensive at £60 per hour. I sadly failed my test back in May after having only a handful of lessons with Paul. He then stated to me that I would not need any further lessons between the time I had failed and when I could get a new test booked. I managed to source a new test in the same location which was then booked with Paul. However, the goal posts were changed without any prior conversation stating I now needed to have lessons prior to my test at the whopping cost of £360, then another £210 to enable me to use his car for my test day. Unfortunately finances became very tight so I could only afford to have the one lesson prior to my test. Whereby I was met with a rather unprofessional email from Mr Jackson stating that he would no longer give me any lessons or let me use his car for my test at all because I could not afford both the lessons. I would recommend people steer clear unless you have a bottomless pit of money to give to him!

Fantastic experience: Paul is a great instructor. Clear and concise instruction given in an open and friendly manner has really helped me to understand my learning goals. Lessons were paced to my ability and allowed me to achieve more in the time than I thought was going to be possible. Feedback and extra resources via the app were both very intuitive and useful to assist with private learning as well. Would certainly recommend.

Fantastic experience: A very patient and understanding teacher that runs a brilliantly organised business. Paul knows everything about learning to drive and communicates it in a very easy to understand way. My lessons got progressively harder as I improved but I never felt rushed into anything, allowing me to learn at a comfortable but steady pace. I would undoubtedly recommend him to anyone looking to learn how to drive, I can’t fault him!

Fantastic experience: Can not recommend Paul and Jam Sandwich enough! Really pushes you to do your best in a timely manner. Extremely reliable and relaxing. Even throughout covid he has remained in contact and made sure to keep everyone safe and put cleaning measures in place. If you want to pass and be confident with your results then Paul is the man for you!

Fantastic experience: Paul is an amazing instructor. After being taught by a poor instructor in London and a failed test I was very lucky to find Paul when I moved to Oxford. He is incredibly experienced, attentive and supportive. Follow his advice, do your homework, kiss the parrot!... and you will pass - like I did. Many thanks Paul.

Fantastic experience: Paul has taught my 17 year old son to drive in 10 lessons whilst having to deal with two lockdowns. He has always been prompt and efficient and his patient manner has really helped build my sons confidence, so much so that he passed first time with no faults! Fantastic experience: Before coming to Paul and Jam Sandwich, I had worked with 2 other instructors. I found both patronising and unhelpful despite being a high cost. With Paul I was relaxed, confident and informed about my driving. And within my first block of 5 lessons, I had passed my test first time. I cannot thank Paul enough for his guidance and cost worthiness.

Fantastic experience: As a more senior learner I found the instructor an amazing communicator and extremely professional. I passed 1st time so that is a recommendation in itself.

Fantastic experience: Paul was my third driving instructor I used and was the one I passed my test with. I have mental health issues and was incredibly nervous so much so I never learnt until well into my thirties. He was great at relaxing me, incredibly patient which I found isn't always a common trait with driving instructors and very knowledgeable and professional throughout. I really couldn't of done it without him and because of his help with passing my test first time my life has changed for the better.
