Fantastic experience: Highly recommend, oli got me through the hard part, but Thankyou for Andy for fitting me in last minute, the few weeks leading up to my test as oli had some issues with his car, couldn’t recommend more

Fantastic experience: I had a refresher lesson with Glen as I had not driven for a year since passing my test. Glen is super lovely and makes you feel calm and at ease. I’d recommend him to everyone who wants to learn how to drive/have a refresher lesson.

Fantastic experience: Used red and black for both my children Glen was their instructor and both my daughter and son have passed with no problems (apart from covid delays not Red and blacks fault) they thoroughly enjoyed their time with Glen. He bought out the best in them and instilled confidence and taught them how to drive really well, he made them feel instantly at ease and was always friendly with me (mum) and his pupils, both cars are modern clean reliable and great to drive. We bought the gold package each time which made it more affordable And no would not hesitate in recommending Glen to anyone who needed a brilliant awesome driving instructor, I can't thank him enough for getting both my son and daughter on the road.. X.

Fantastic experience: Great driving school, I had Andy for just under 6 months and every lesson he was calm and helpful no matter the situation. At no point did I feel uncomfortable and have grown in confidence. Would recommend for anyone no matter your ability.

Fantastic experience: I had Andy for approx 4/5 months, as soon as I got in the car he made me feel comfortable and at ease! He’s a great instructor and helped me learn and pick things up very quickly so I was confident in no time! I had tried other previous instructors and nothing could sit with me, but Andy really focused on my best way of learning and helped me to develop my driving from there! I would definitely recommend Red & Black to anyone as it’s been a great experience and been great meeting Andy too as I feel I have passed my test and left with a great friend at the end of it all so thank you!

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend this academy enough! As someone who had confidence issues when behind the wheel of a car I thought I would never get round to passing my test but thanks to Red and Black and particularly Glen, I was able to achieve this! He gave my the confidence and reassurance I needed to get it done which I believe I may not have been able to do had it been anyone else. Glen is a fantastic tutor and will get you passed in no time at all, not to mention his great sense of humor (well ill let you decide that for yourself) which helps immensely when you feel tense or nervous. Thank you so much for everything!

Fantastic experience: The best driving school in the area! Lessons are carefully catered to your ability and speed at which you are comfortable to learn. There was lots of positive encouragement throughout. Glen was a very friendly and funny instructor but was also very focused on making you the best driver you can be. Glen was always on time to lessons and helped both my brother and I pass first time! Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: Amazing driving instructors who helped me pass first time with only two minors. They worked around my school hours to make sure my lessons were when I needed them to be, never late and kept me updated if things changed. Their knowledge of Chesterfield and of how the test works was second to none and really helped my confidence going into the test. They create a relaxed environment where you could repeat manoeuvres as many times as you like and ask the simplest of questions. Worth every penny!

Fantastic experience: I started driving a while before starting with red and black, however I only had limited lessons with my previous instructor. When I decided weekly lessons wasn't for me and I needed an intensive course I gave Andy at red and black a call. We arranged to have an assessment lesson which I thought was very kind and prompt of Andy to fit me in when he could. At the end of that lesson we discussed prices for the intensive course and the amount of hours each of us thought I'd need. We both agreed between 30 and 35 hours would be great. I then spoke to andy and said money would be an issue and he told me not to worry and said we could book it in for a couple months time when I had the money. Over the few months while waiting for the money I paid Andy in installments and he was fast at responding to texts keeping me updated with the amount left and also sent me a message with some provisional dates. A few I couldn't make so he adapted these so it could fit around my lifestyle. Once the first day of the intensive course came around, I was running late and ended up being an hour late for a 3 hour lesson, Andy was still waiting for me and when I got in the car he gave me a brief breakdown of what I was going to do on each day. This was great as I knew what we should be hitting target wise and gave me something to work towards. Over the duration of the course andy kept me updated in where I needed to be and told me where he thought I needed to improve. This helped my keep on track and worked me towards test standard at a fast rate. When test day came unfortunately I failed first time and andy spoke to me about booking back in and having more lessons. I didn't have the money to do this however I did have a car in which I bought oncase I passed. I spoke to andy and we decided a couple hours with him before test day is all I would need. I started driving with family just to get the experience I needed and boost my confidence on the road. And then andy kept messaging me to ask if I still wanted to book back in with him, where as a lot of intensive driving courses I've heard about, abandon students if they fail first time. Towards the second test date me and andy had a little bit of miss communication which was purely based on my phone not receiving his messages however. We still did a few hours and managed to get ready for the test which I passed. Overall I believe it was a great experience and would recommend to anyone badsed on my opinion. Andy is a man who tells it how it is without being rude, this is what I needed and it definitely gave me the boost to pass my test.

Fantastic experience: I used Red and Black this year and took a block of lessons with Glen. I would definitely recommend this driving school to any new upcoming driver! Glen has tonnes of experience and develops you at your own pace! Nerves were always a problem for me in the past, not my ability, and earlier this year Glen got me to a solid test standard, and importantly gave me the confidence to go and pass with flying colours! He was very punctual and always tried to fit in around me to get the hours in each week. A highly recommended instructor and driving school!

Fantastic experience: An excellent driving school, infact the best . Glen got both my sons through there driving experience and both passed first time. My younger son took a bit of persuading to drive but kept going with encouragement from Glen . A friendly, reliable driving school. Just a shame I have no more kids to put through this professional school . I would most definitely recommend both Glen and Andy . Thank you Glen .
