Vanessa made learning to drive so much less stressful, she was calm, friendly, and really believed in me even when I doubted myself. Every lesson was well structured but also fun and I always felt safe and supported. I’d 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a great instructor!

Negative experience: If I could leave no stars I would! Booked lessons for my daughter in may for August (her actual birthday). The instructor never showed up even though she confirmed with email and phone call, no phone call, no email, after I contacted her asking where she is (she didn’t answer the phone) she messaged me saying that she had messaged on Sunday (which she didn’t). Absolutely ruined my daughter’s birthday, shocking customer service!.

Fantastic experience: Jen has been an incredible instructor. Right from the start, she identified my strengths and weaknesses, focused on the areas which needed attention . She is very patient enough to explain all the details and also patient enough to answer the questions I asked her.On the day of the driving test, the way she conducted the mock test really made the difference. I would strongly recommend her to all my friends to consider her as their driving instructor. Once a again , Thanks a lot Jen.

Fantastic experience: From a complete beginner to passing with no minors, Jen confidently taught me everything about driving in a reassuring and kind manor while being so supportive throughout the whole process. She is truly the best driving instructor and I’m so happy I was able to be taught by her, I couldn’t thank her enough! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Jen is an excellent driving instructor. I passed first time, despite being initially very nervous, and I absolutely put that down to Jen’s expertise as a teacher. Her style is very warm, very affirmative, very confidence boosting, but all backed up with a steely strong frame of experience, expertise and knowledge, which she passes on with grace and humour. I really enjoyed my lessons (we did laugh a lot) but most of all they were so useful; she constantly drops in hints and tips both for real world driving and for passing the test and now I can drive (so much fun to be able to type that!), I can still hear her voice in my head, offering supportive, useful advice and suggestions for every situation. I have previously and will continue to recommend Jen to anyone wanting to enjoy learning to drive well and with confidence. Thanks Jen!

Fantastic experience: Jennifer has been a wonderful teacher throughout the whole process. She took time to understand how I learn, and used that to give me feedback which accelerated my progress and built my confidence. She was never frustrated, and let me learn at my own pace instead. Also, she was thorough and took no shortcuts, preparing me well for the test and for driving beyond that. I found that Jennifer was always punctual and was a very friendly person to be around, which made the lessons go by much quicker and made me excited for the next . The school itself was very professional, and I had no issues dealing with them. I highly recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I had a really brilliant experience learning with Jen. Having failed my test a few times over twenty years ago, and not having driven at all since, her patient and encouraging teaching style got me through the test first time this time around! I would thoroughly recommend her to anyone looking to learn.

Fantastic experience: Learnt with Jennifer this last week as she took over from another Instructor/company who was away on holiday after I failed my initial test. Taking me on as a new student in the same week, putting in multiple lessons even on her day off and helping me to pass the test in the same week, I couldn't recommend Jennifer enough. Calm, proffesional and a great teacher. 10/10

Always helped me build confidence on the road with her strong attention to every detail and great communication. She focused a lot on improving certain skills in my driving as required which ultimately helped me drive safely like a driver. 100% recommended for any learner looking to become a safe driver!!

Fantastic experience: It was an enjoyable experience when learning how to drive with Jennifer. She is really patient and makes you feel at ease when learning. Her explanations of driving concepts are really thorough and detailed, which makes it easier to apply on the road. Most importantly, Jennifer installed my self-belief, while her teaching methods set you up for a driving test really well. Jennifer was also willing to challenge me, but would only challenge me if she knew I was capable enough.

Fantastic experience: Where do i even start? By far this is one of the best instructors i’ve ever had. I passed today with ONLY 2 minors, and that’s all thanks to Jennifer the driving instructor at Hill Starts. Very lovely woman, and will point you out on every little minor thing you do, which makes you stay diligent on the road and more importantly SAFE. Very delighted to have done my driving lessons with her. Couldn’t recommend a better instructor to be honest. Well anyway that’s enough talking, gotta go sort insurance for the car now haha!

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience learning with my instructor Jennifer. She was incredibly calm and encouraging, which made it a lot easier for me to feel confident and comfortable in my driving. She had a great understanding of when to push me out of my comfort zone that resulted in me feeling proud of the progress i was making and excited for the next lesson. The answer to each problem or question was broken down and made easy to understand. With her lessons and support I was able to pass my test first time confidently. Fantastic experience: Jennifer is a fantastic driving instructor. She was incredibly calm, patient and kind - exactly what i needed as a nervous learner. She was great at finding the right balance of pushing me out of comfort zone, tackling trickier road problems which massively improved my confidence and driving. I previously had about 10 hours at another driving school and Jennifer taught me more in 2 hours. She would give me detailed feedback and guidance on how to constantly improve. She turned what for me was a daunting task of passing my driving into a fun experience which i would look forward to each week. She instilled me with confidence throughout and i managed to pass first time! Thanks for all the help Jen

Fantastic experience: Jennifer is a brilliant driving instructor. Even though I only learnt with her for about a month, I realised how much I was unaware off as my previous instructors did not equip me with the knowledge. Jennifer was always on time, a trait I highly admire considering my past experience with driving instructors. She always encouraged me and gave me the confidence to drive and pass my test. I was extremely hesitant and nervous for my test, but the confidence Jennifer had in me helped me have confidence in myself. She had patience with me even through my several mistakes and was calm and accommodating through it all. I would highly recommend Jennifer as a driving instructor. Fantastic experience: I had a great time learning to drive with Jennifer, each lesson I had with Jennifer enabled me to improve my driving and overall road skills.I would 100% recommend Jennifer as your next driving instructor as I was able to become test ready within 7 driving lessons and was able to pass my driving test at Mitcham test centre today as a result. Fantastic experience: Even when I had less than a week to prepare for my test I passed the driving test because of Jennifer. Jennifer is a kind and lovely person. She is also an amazing person and instructor as she gives the best feedback and teaches people how to tackle problems on the road. She also teaches you shortcuts and ways to make driving easier and less complicated for new drivers. I only had 4 lessons with her and in those 4 lessons I gained so much knowledge and confidence and with that, I passed. I 100% recommend Hill Start as I believe that it will definitely get you that drivers license you have always wanted. Thank you very much Jennifer :)
