Fantastic experience: Ian is an excellent driving instructor. Gives you a really good foundation on your driving. I had zero driving experience when I started my lessons. He reassured me when I almost gave up on driving. Taught me from scratch, passed with only 1 minor mark. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Ian is a great driving instructor. I had put off learning to drive as I was super nervous. However Ian teaching method made me feel at ease and my confidence grew and grew. Highly recommended if you need to learn to drive Ian is your best option A++++++

Fantastic experience: I tried 3 driving instructors and not only found Ian to be the safest but also the best teacher. He is extremely personable and puts you at ease. I was petrified of driving and for me that fear has gone thanks to him. Not sure where the bad reviews have come from but certainly not my experience. Patient and a fab instructor! I know he has taught others with mental health difficulties and that is extremely impressive. He’s also got the best rate in the south east. Highly recommend

Negative experience: Had a couple of lessons, he was very rude, spoke over me and told me to get out of the car when I made an error. Spoke to me like a I was a child and made me cry while on a lesson

Negative experience: Didn't even get to lesson 1. Unresponsive, rude communication, totally uninterested in even providing any kind of service

Fantastic experience: Passed first time!!! Thank you Ian!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ian has been a fantastic teacher and I’m so grateful for all of his expertise and patience. I had an ambitious target to pass quite quickly (in order to get my daughter to school and to start a new job as a key worker). Ian got me through from very first lesson to pass in exactly 8 weeks!!! And all set against the turbulent backdrop of the COVID pandemic. Ian takes a very pragmatic approach and is an experienced instructor who really took the time to explain things to me from different angles, particularly where there were areas I struggled with. Reverse bay parking anyone!? I’m so thrilled I found him! Bonus points for also being a qualified mechanic and helping me with various niggles with my new car. Endless thanks to Ian, he’s the very best!!! Have already recommended him to friends who are looking to learn. A brilliant teacher and a thoroughly lovely chap X

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Let's Get Going driving school to anyone. I was initially very unconfident and not sure I would ever be able to drive having no experience at all aged 30. Ian was a fantastic teacher who gave me confidence in myself and built up the lessons slowly so I never felt out of my comfort zone. After around four months and 30 hours I passed first time. The test felt just like any other lesson as Ian had prepared me for everything. One week later and I'm driving alone without fear in my new car! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Negative experience: Knocked the confidence out of our son, patronising, arrogant and rude. Spoke to my husband on the phone like he was a school child.... Plenty more to choose from out there.........

Negative experience: He didn’t turn up for the first lesson and when he replied said he’ll be 15mins and I’m still waiting for a reply??? Who does this? Doesn’t value people’s time, thinks he can just completely disrespect them and not reply.. wouldn’t recommend!!!

Fantastic experience: I've been having lessons with Ian for over 6 months. As a very nervous driver I find Ian very reassuring and helpful. I would recommend him to anyone. Ian will tell you as it is which is maybe why some other people have given him fewer stars, but when you're learning to drive, you want an instructor who is going to tell you when you're going wrong, not just let things slide. Ian pays close attention to detail of your driving, and will not just get you through the test, but make you a considerate and good driver for your life. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending him, and he also has some of the best rates. I am learning in his automatic car and it's so comfortable and practical (Mercedes A Class) UPDATE: passed on my first attempt after 40 hours with Ian, and only 6 minors. Great guy :)

Negative experience: Was told to get out the car because i wanted to drop down from 1.5 hours per week to an hour lesson. Was made to feel like i was a child at school getting told off. Seems to have an issue when doesn't get his own way

Fantastic experience: I had failed my test three times and had no confidence before I started lessons with Ian. He's friendly, patient and really works with you to figure out how to help. So pleased I chose Let's Get Going, have now passed my test, and feel confident about driving. Would highly recommend to anyone!
