Fantastic experience: As a foreigner to the UK who had experience driving but who found the English rules the location of the steering wheel, the countryside roads, etcetera etc very new I was very nervous to start my driving life here. It was great to find David from Toucan after looking at many other companies. I believe he had the best experience to work with someone with my profile. It was a very good decision; not only he is very professional in terms of timing, advice, rules, knowledge of the roads locally, knowledge of the exam itself, knowledge of the routes that you might need to use, etcetera etc, but also he has a good way of making you feel calmer and secure while at the same time challenging you so that you are well prepared for the actual test. I would highly recommend Toucan Drive School and David in particular as today I not only passed my test on first try, but did it with only two minor faults (One of each bean an over speed limit of 3 mph!). Thanks a ton!!! Highly recommend!!!!

Fantastic experience: Mr. David Curzon is an extremely patient & informative driving instructor. His teaching, guidance & interpretation/ understanding skills are impeccable. He is caring as well. He was my first & only instructor. Even in my dreams I would recommend David to anyone; who wants to learn safe, confident driving (not just to pass the driving test but also to be a very good versatile driver). If you plan to get your test, get a car & drive long distances, David is the guy. I bought my car yesterday (around 10 days after passing my practical test), and I drove my car from Reading to Gloucester without any hiccups & even my wife felt safe & comfortable (I am a new driver). David has trained me well (with lot of patience) so that I feel always ready to make any split second driving decisions. Also I am Physically challenged (I cannot hold the wheel using my right arm); if you are someone like me & connecting with David; rest assured you are contacting the right person & would be in good hands. He would be able to guide you through the entire process and associated nitty-gritty.

Fantastic experience: David has been the best instructor I could’ve asked for, so considerate, understanding, helpful and supportive! I’d been learning with him for the better part of 6 months and passed first time today with 1 minor and absolutely all due credit to him. He’s never failed to do the utmost possible to cater to me to help as much as he could in terms of lesson times and location, and also outside of lessons with sending relevant info, advice, diagrams, maps that he thinks would help me. Always does his best job with helping in areas others don’t as much in terms of not only physically driving but the emotional side of it and the mentality behind a safe and successful driver. I started my driving and every lesson I felt as if I was on a journey that was pushing me in the right direction with non stop support from David recently I feel I have hit a new level on confidence and I never thought this would happen. Fantastic experience: I tried to learn to drive ~8 years ago, and struggled immensely. Whilst this was partly due to my own attitude, the quality of the tuition was a major factor. After a long hiatus, I found David on Facebook with reviews just like this one. David is calm, friendly and professional, and easily the best instructor I have had. Negative experience: Arranged an assessment day for my partner, in the area close to my family as driving lessons were fully booked in the location we live. Was contacted a few days prior saying he couldn't do the originally planned day due to someone else getting a test (understandable) and that they would offer Saturday morning instead, even though they normally do not offer weekends. However come the weekend, after waiting 10 minutes, got in contact and was told "No sorry today isn't convenient, I completely overlooked it" and "as I said I don't do weekends" even though it had been him who had offered the weekend. When I called to complain about us changing our plans and driving a long way to meet a promise made by the instructor, was cut off very bluntly with him saying "No, sorry, not interested" and he hung up. This is not just rude, but completely unprofessional as well as showing a clear lack of acceptance of responsibility. My advice is to stay far away and don't get hooked by any promises that may be made. Seriously unimpressed and outraged at the waste of time for travelling. The only good thing I can say is that the arranged assessment was free, so we didn't loose any money.

Fantastic experience: Thanks to the @toucandriveauto I have passed my Driving License 1st time! It was very challenging task for me as I was really negative/ demotivated and pushed away form driving by the previous instructor I have had for few months. I foolishly assumed that being a female having a female driving instructor would be best - and after fist lesson with David I realized how wrong was I! (Yes I have a moment or two of being wrong too ) Thanks to David I was thought how to drive safely and be confident by being safe, not just to memorize exam routes only to pass.. Kudos to Toucandrive!

Fantastic experience: I have tried a number of different instructors and David was the first to make me feel confident. I shared how I am a naturally anxious and nervous person and David took that in his stride. Every lesson I was learning something and I always felt that I was the one in charge. David never once left me feeling disheartened; always providing a very thorough debrief after each lesson. Never once, despite my usual pessimistic outlook on things, did I think "I'll never be able to do this." I never thought passing would be so bitter sweet.

Fantastic experience: Very professional and always patient and helpful. Besides being a great driving instructors he's as well a great calming reassuring person teaching you how to be safe on roads on top of the driving skills you gain with each lessons. Fantastic experience: Excellent instructor! Highly recommend this driving school to anyone! Extremely punctual and reliable. Every lesson I had was excellent, I learnt something new every time. I not only learnt how to drive but was taught to drive safely. The instructor was very kind and helpful amongst these qualities he was easy to talk to and allowed me to really develop my learning driving experience. The instructor was really time flexible aswell which is really helpful for those with busy schedules like myself, being in full time education and working a part time job.
