Fantastic experience: Craig from U pass in South Wales is a great instructor and lessons were very helpful. Made me a confident driver and taught me well to pass my test first time!!! With plenty of experience as an instructor and couldn’t recommend anyone better.

Negative experience: Booked block lessons for my step son are cost of £380 over a couple of months. Only to be massively let down with zero contact when he failed to arrive and not only once but twice. We received a refund with zero apologies and re booked elsewhere. Please don’t use for your kids birthday 17th as he probably won’t arrive.

Negative experience: Unfortunately I cannot give less than one star! If anyone is planning on getting their teenagers driving lessons as a 17th birthday present, I'd advise staying well away from U Pass Driving School. Craig makes false promises when you make the original enquiry and is unable to follow through with the agreement. I paid him £380 on 28th of May for a block of 10 lessons and my boy has had two lessons in 4 weeks! At that rate it would take 5 months to have 10 lessons . Craig is virtually impossible to contact and when he does finally reply asking for availability he ignores your response. If you are lucky enough to get confirmation of a lesson with him, he fails to turn up and ignores messages asking why he hasn't turned up! Absolute shambles of a company. Stay well clear

Fantastic experience: Just passed my test first time

Fantastic experience: I forgot to write it here. But I passed 2 months ago with Craig. First time with 1 Minor (Don't pull the hand brake while you are still rolling at 1-2 mph! lmao) I'd recommend him, he knows the test routes and what the test entails. Drove to port talbot too 1 hour before the test and it calmed the nerves a lot! Thanks Craig.

Fantastic experience: My daughter has recently passed 1st time after having lessons with Craig. He was encouraging, supportive, eased my daughters nerves, gave my daughter confidence and was thorough in all aspects of driving skills.

Negative experience: Would love to go lower than 1 star. Seems to take your money and enjoy trips away rather than actually giving lessons. £600 and he's given my son 1 lesson in 2 months ? See how quickly he answers when solicitors and trading standards are involved.

Negative experience: Would not recommend Craig as a driving instructor. He was impossible to book lessons with and would ignore me for weeks. Took my block booking payment for 10 lessons in November 2021 and I had 5 lessons between then and February 2022. He would cancel within the hour of lessons or would just not show up, with no apologies but plenty of excuses. He has now given me a refund for the remaining lessons as of March, but only after a month of him ignoring me after he didn’t turn up for a lesson in January. When I did manage to have a lesson he would have me drive to Swansea, to do literally one or two manoeuvres, to then drive back to Port Talbot. I was driving on dual carriageways for 40 minutes of a lesson when I didn’t even know how to do the most basic manoeuvres. I am now learning with a new school and the difference is unreal. I wouldn’t want others to deal with the stress of trying to learn with Upass.
