DSA Livingston LGV Test Centre: Reviews
Negative experience: A miserable and frustrated old man failed me because he thought that I was going to get too close to the mirror of a parked car. He grabbed the steering wheel well before I passed the car, he just assumed that I was going to hit it as if I was blind. Poor miserable guy, his life must not be very fun for enjoying making someone else's life more difficult especially when he had nothing else to say.
Fantastic experience: My deepest gratitude to Mr. Tom. I did not expect the examiner can be so kind and friendly. All the stress disappeared very quickly and a wonderful atmosphere prevailed in the car. Thank you very much, New driver.
Fantastic experience: I took my driving exam with Mr. Larry, who was not only an excellent examiner but also a genuinely kind and reassuring person. His calm and professional demeanor helped ease my nerves and made the entire experience much more comfortable. He demonstrated a high level of professionalism throughout, explaining everything clearly and treating me with respect and encouragement. I truly appreciated his supportive approach, and I couldn't have asked for a better examiner.
Fantastic experience: I passed my driving test today with George Nicol he was very nice to me and was a very chill examiner thank you very much to George for passing me today
Negative experience: Change the examiners
Negative experience: An absolute rude examiner slamming doors of private property of the student. Throwing names at and trying to educate the student. Moreover, after all the drama, the student got failed for personal reasons and for the examiner will. No cctv carried, and she even mentioned that we have no proof. It was some sort of Eastern Europe accent. If you go there and see that you have your exam with her, refuse it.
Negative experience: The examiner (an older man) was very rude to me from the start and made me feel so uncomfortable. Did my second test at musselburgh and had a much better experience.
Positive experience: Under staffed
Negative experience: Worst test centre ever. Please don’t prefer it.
Fantastic experience: Done class 1 here pass guy cant remember his name was so friendly to talk and and spoke to me about my faults i had on trying to avoid them recomand doing lgv not the briggs
Fantastic experience: Always a great experience.
Fantastic experience: I passed in the first time with examiner Larry, he was very professional and help to guide me back to the road even I was driving to the wrong direction by following the satellite navigation. I love Livingston driving test center
Fantastic experience: Great service helpful and friendly staff
Fantastic experience: Just passed my test yesterday first time and my examiner Tom was very nice very helpful made me feel at ease made sure I knew what was happening before hand and throughout the test as well.
Fantastic experience: Had my C1 test with examiner Mark (scouser) he made me feel at ease and relaxed and I passed with 1 minor fault. Felt like I had known him for years, very nice calming manner, professional and made the whole test very relaxing, especially when your nerves are on fire!!
Negative experience: Never any heating on -3 out side and you need to use the hand dryer from the toilets to warm up your hands .
Fantastic experience: Very good center, stress-free atmosphere, very nice examiners. I recommend
Fantastic experience: Passed mod 1 today, tester gave instructions clearly and always made sure i understood what was expected of me before each exercise, test area is in an enclosed compound and is well laid out, can't fault them.
Fantastic experience: Had my class 1 (artic) test with examiner Mark (scouser ) today. He was very professional and made me feel at ease within 5 minutes into test. Passed with 3 minors. Happy day to say the least.
Negative experience: On my first attempt Examiner Euan was really nice person and I totally understand why he failed me for coming too close to a parked car while overtaking it. But second attempt I had Richard (manager) and it was a different experience....Firstly he asked me 'why was I doing the c licence' I doubt if I was a man he would have asked that, then throughout the test he asked me to pull in and stop 8 times at the side of the road, I kept doing the procedure correctly so he kept asking me to do it again, I felt afterwards he had been trying to catch me out. He also asked how many days training I'd had and when I replied 2 days he gave an audible 'humf' sound. Then at the end if the test he said I'd failed because I'd paused at entry of 2 roundabouts (of the 20 or so roundabouts in the test), I explained I was very nervous and being carefully, he said he couldn't take nerves into consideration. I didn't make any other mistakes in the whole hour if driving around according to the results. So a very bad experience (note I was not marked down for the pulling into side of road, so he clearly was repeatedly trying to find an easy way to fail me)
Fantastic experience: Passed my test today first time. Massif thanks to Gordon one of the best instructor ever
