Fantastic experience: Mike is incredible. Passed first time, I was always such an apprehensive driver and it took me a year to take my test due to my low confidence. Mike was the most calm, and reassuring instructor I’ve had. He takes his time on processes and fundamentals whilst tailoring your lessons to target your lacking areas! Fantastic experience: Learning how to drive isn't easy for a middle aged man with zero experience. Guiding such a person is likewise no straightforward task. Michael did a fantastic job. From quite unable to make a simple turn to passing driving test in first attempt, this is a journey cannot be completed without Michael's lessons. Other than extensive experience as instructor, he certainly has a talent to teach according to student's needs. He helped me to tackle my weaknesses in driving, conveying the message in a way that was most effective to me. Valuable advices and reminders, not just bring me my full license, but would be beneficial to me in my lifelong driving. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: Unprofessional is probably the best word I can use for my experience with Mike. He has cancelled my lessons 3 weeks in a row now (2 of these times being cancellations the morning of my lessons). Due to this I text Mike asking when he can actually commit to fitting me in since he cannot stick to the schedule he set for us, and he has ignored me! I’ve now wasted over a month of my time waiting around for him & now other instructors in my area are all booked up. Very disappointed given the reputation he has & would strongly advise others to look elsewhere so you don’t end up wasting your time like I did!

Driving never came naturally to me, and I'm a very nervous driver but they always but me at ease as well as always telling me exactly where I could improve and how, explaining things in a simple manor! Fantastic experience: All I can say is I wish I'd started learning to drive with Michael at Less Gears from the beginning! Fantastic experience: I had around 4 different driving instructors before I found less gears and I honestly can say, none of them compared to micheal. He is honest, professional, reliable and everything you could want from a driving instructor. Before I found micheal, I was a nervous unconfident driver with a driving test already booked only a few months ahead. Fantastic experience: I had Michael as my instructor and I can say confidently he was amazing. What made me feel satisfied with my choice is that unlike some other driving instructors who I’ve heard about from friends that may purposely take their time to teach driving skills with Michael it was the opposite. He taught me the necessary skills at a good speed without wasting any time. He also was no hesitant to criticise me and explain to me how I could improve which allowed me to fix my mistakes quickly. He was very easy to talk to whilst on the lessons which made me feel more comfortable. Michael was also very understanding when it came to me cancelling my lessons with him in some urgent situations which pleased me.
