Fantastic experience: If you are looking for a driving instructor, please look no further!!! Mark is not only a driving instructor, he is a true teacher. He is calm, knowledgeable and fully understands how our brain works when learning a new skill which is fundamental when learning to drive as you have a LOT of things to do at the same time while the big metal box is moving and there's other cars moving around you! Mark was my second instructor. I had one in London and when I moved to Hitchin I tried two other instructors before I fully committed to one instructor, so I can really tell you he is by FAR the best one and I could not recommend him enough! Thank you so much for everything Mark. You made driving a good experience for me and I know it would have been much harder if it wasn't for you. ps- I passed my test first time with 2 minors.

Fantastic experience: I had a few instructors before Mark who now looking back seemed to overcomplicate driving lessons hugely. Mark cut the nonsense out and teaches you exactly how to be a safe and practical driver. He really helped me get ready for my test in a short window. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Using the services of HItchin Driving School has been a pleasure from start to finish. Prompt and honest responses to my initial enquiries and excellent communication throughout. Mark offers 2 hour lessons which although sounds a long time, were perfect for covering all areas of driving, repetition and building on the skills required in the test. The course of lessons was interrupted significant by the lockdown however Mark kept in touch and the lessons restarted as soon as it was allowed. My son suffers with anxiety and this was an enormous mountain to climb for him; under confident and lockdown weary. Mark was sympathetic and worked in a very calm and therapeutic way which helped his confidence behind the wheel no end. Passing first time was more than we had ever hoped for! We are all so delighted. Thank you so much Mark and the HItchin Driving School!

Fantastic experience: Mark has been an excellent Instructor for my youngest child Izzy. He was always calm and gave her loads of information so she was able to improve and feel confident behind the wheel. His tips for parallel parking were fantastic and his communication with both Izzy and myself was great. Mark did at least two mock tests before her actual test so she knew what to expect and felt confident that she could pass...and she did. Would definitely recommend

Fantastic experience: Mark was not my first driving instructor, so I feared that it would take me a while to adapt to his teaching methods. However, by the end of my first lesson with him my confidence in my driving ability had never been higher. His laid back and overall positive attitude created a stress-free environment, which is exactly what one needs when learning to drive, whether it is your first time driving, or like me, you already have had a bit of experience. The fact that I managed to pass my driving test first time demonstrates the effectiveness of his techniques. Even parallel parking will seem like a breeze once you make use of his guidance. Fantastic experience: Having already taught both my brother and my sister how to drive, I already had high expectation of Mark’s driving lessons. They did not disappoint. Right from the start, I always felt comfortable whilst driving and was never made to do anything I wasn’t ready to do, whilst being encouraged to progress as much as I could in the lesson. Mark’s constant calm manner and continuous patience helped me to relax into driving and feel reassured during my lessons. Clear explanations really helped me to understand exactly what I was doing and allowed me to improve each week. Each lesson was tailored to my needs which allowed me to practice anything I wanted to and learn new skills. I have nothing bad to say at all about my driving lessons; I enjoyed each one a lot and always was looking forward to my next lesson to progress further. In particular, I found the methods for parking very helpful, as they were simple and easy to remember. Consequently, when reverse bay parking came up in my test I felt confident that, if I applied the method correctly, I would be able to complete the manoeuvre well. I would highly recommend Mark to anybody who wants to learn to drive in a positive and friendly environment!

Fantastic experience: Having first started learning to drive as a teenager in Staffordshire but failing a test shortly before moving to London, my confidence was severely knocked - so I only begun relearning at the age of 29, when my husband and I moved out to Hitchin. All I can say is that thankfully Mark was able to take me on. His calm, patient and clear-headed nature was exactly what I needed to allay my fears of numerous aspects of driving (namely, roundabouts!) and I really enjoyed our informal chats, to the point of feeling like we were mates as opposed to teacher and student. I genuinely could not have hoped for a better instructor and can’t recommend Mark enough. I passed today with flying colours and I’ll be going back to the Hitchin Driving School for some motorway driving lessons once I’m out on the road!
