Negative experience: Had a lesson booked and instructor didn’t turn up, I waited half an hour outside for nothing. I didn’t even receive a text from the instructor to say he wouldn’t be there due to unforeseen circumstances. I phoned the office and they just said they’re unsure, they didn’t offer to send another instructor or a free lesson as a good-will gesture. Very disappointing service.

Fantastic experience: I started off as an extremely nervous driver. My driving instructor is very patient and knowledgeable and is extremely adept at giving clear instructions and teaching you the tricks of the trade. I now look forward to all my lessons and am grateful to Brockley Driving School for restoring my confidence.

Fantastic experience: I really enjoy my driving lessons with Brockley Driving School. My instructor is amazing and patient . On my first lesson with him I was a bit scared and nervous to get behind the wheel but as time went on he helped me build more confidence when driving on the road. I would happily recommend this driving school

Fantastic experience: I chose this school for my son following a recommendation on FB. My son is autistic and suffers with anxiety - I called the office and they were helpful and suggested which instructor would be best suited to him and helped me decide between manual and automatic. My son's instructor is very calm which helped him feel relaxed and comfortable. My son has enjoyed his lessons and is driving really confidently. They have been reliable - arriving on time and no cancellations. We would happily recommend.

Negative experience: Horrifically bad and aggressive driver, speeds and cuts you up when he’s in the wrong lane- not what you want in an instructor. You’d hope for someone who can actually drive and knows the Highway Code to teach you how to drive. Avoid.

Negative experience: Unsurprisingly, I am not the only one in the past month to rate them 1 star. Greedy and unreliable would be an accurate phrase to describe this instructor. Next time just book with a proper driving school. Booked this instructor for a test day package at 170 pounds. They advertise the first lesson for 9.99. After only 7 mins of a lesson they cancelled, refused to allow me to use their car, made me miss the driving test and insisted that they were entitled to 20pounds which they promptly pocketed. I’m still recovering from the shock of this bad experience. If you want to waste your time, this is the school for you.

Negative experience: Gary is knowledgeable and gave clear instructions however the unnecessary physical contact made me uncomfortable. The pinching of the thigh, the touching of my arm and him putting his hand on top of my hand when on the steering wheel was cringe. Ended up blocking his number as soon as i was home and have been in two minds about reporting his behaviour to DVSA. First and last lesson. Women should avoid this driving school.

Fantastic experience: So, I found Gary through Google searches, it was a random pick but a brilliant one. Gary is an amazing teacher, I approached Gary with goals and he assisted me to execute them. The quality of teaching about this subject, taught by Gary was fantastic, I’ve learned more from Gary within our short timeframe than I have with other instructors. He’s also Patient, willing to try multiple ways to correct errors and get you test ready and finally, he’s always on time for tests.

Negative experience: My driving instructor was Dan. Maybe if I had been with a different instructor then my experience would’ve been better. I wouldn’t recommend if you’re 1) a student paying for your lessons by yourself and 2) want to learn to drive in a short period of time. Driving lessons are not cheap and it becomes difficult and annoying when an instructor repeatedly cancels on the day or an hour before. Within 5 working days of my first lesson he cancelled my lessons three time and I chose to cancel as I hadn’t been left with a good first impression and want to learn to drive quickly, and also with someone who I can rely on to show up. There have been many reviews complaining about this instructor but i chose to ignore them and urge others not to. Once again, if you’re a student, or don’t have money to waste, or need to learn to drive as soon as possible, find elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Tony is a legend. He is patient and his expertise is really amazing - helped me passed with 3 minors. If you’re looking for the best instructor ask for Tony.

Negative experience: Where do I start! If I could give this company a minus I would. I booked with Dan who is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL, continuously CANCELS, and talks about his wife and kids more than actually teaching a lesson. After ONLY 2 lessons after I booked a block of 4 for £112, I decided to ask for a refund for the remaining 2 lessons as it was becoming ridiculous of how many times and excuses for cancelling. He tried to swindle me out of my money which I had to argue for and had to call Gary about it all. He did eventually send it back to me, but to my surprise the next day when my husband and i went out to our car our LICENCE PLATES had been stolen. WHAT A COINCIDENCE??? I think not! Karma will come back to you don't you worry. I noticed the very negative reviews on Google are about DAN and the reviews on their website is positive about GARY. Don't waste your time or money UNLESS your booking with GARY.

Negative experience: Terrible, had me waiting an hour with no phone call or text. I tried to ring but no answer. Waste of time.

Negative experience: I started having lessons with Dan back in 2019. In the first 3 months he cancelled 5 times at short notice. I told him that I would stop the lessons as I needed consistency, but he wanted to give it another go and be reliable. It did improve then. I had about 40 lessons and took the test in Hither Green. Failed, as I was not checking mirrors and didn’t know my way at the roundabout in which I hadn’t driven before, even though I was only in Sydenham, we didn’t practice in Hither Green. Later I took the test in Bromley and failed again as I didn’t know that if there’s no road sign the speed limit is 30m/h. When I practiced with my partner he was surprised that I didn’t know what he meant by MSM. I eventually gave up after spending so much time and money and losing confidence in myself. This year I re-started with another instructor and I learned so much and passed my driving test. I realized that I haven’t been taught properly at all by Dan. We just drove around and did parallel parking but hardly any teachings. I thought he was a nice guy, hence I kept trying and didn’t want to give a negative review, but now I see how wrong it was and thought it was my responsibility to share my experience.

Negative experience: Dan, the son of the founder of Brockley school was a really intresting guy to talk to and get to know He's also runs his school like a dodgy business man and is the worst driving teacher I've had

Negative experience: Terrible school. Do not waste your time. I ended up having to get a refund after 4 cancelled lessons in a row, each cancelled10 minutes prior to each lesson.

Negative experience: Don't even bother with Dan, he cancelled 1 1/2 hours before my son's first lesson because his wife reminded him that he had a prior commitment. What a time waster! AVOID

Negative experience: If I could give a zero star rating, I would. Dan is incredibly unprofessional. He arrived late for my first lesson, spent more than half the lesson discussing his personal life instead of focusing on teaching. I scheduled another lesson, hoping this was a one off, but got a text 30min before the planned lesson to let me know he couldn't make it until 1h30 later. He then tried to reschedule so that the class would be an hour later than originally planned. I had other plans that I couldn't move, so asked to reschedule at a later time, which we did. He was supposed to be here 40min ago and he has not texted or called to explain that he may be delayed, not has he replied to my text enquiring about whether the lesson was still going ahead. I would recommend avoiding him as he clearly has no regards for his customers. Very disappointed by the lack of professionalism he displayed.

Negative experience: Found it to be a really unprofessional service, late, cancellations etc for my two teenagers. Moved to another school after a few lessons.
