Fantastic experience: Martin is such an amazing driving instructor - he provides you with detailed explanations along with diagrams which are simple and easy to understand. Martin is the standard - no, above the standard for a driving instructor. With his expertise, I have been able to pass my driving test with just one minor fault. I would strongly recommend choosing him as your instructor for your driving journey - you may experience some ups and downs throughout your learning, but he will help you fix those issues easily. He won't sugarcoat any mistakes you make and he can even be strict at times, but his style of teaching is effectively what will make you become a competent and confident driver on the road. My examiner at test centre said to me when I passed in 10 years of doing her job she has not met anyone who has use gear 6 on a test. Fantastic experience: It’s true what they say that nothing really surpasses experience - especially when it comes to driving a car. Martin was exactly the kind of instructor I needed who embodied this reassuring experience; as well as kindness and patience as a teacher. I am quite a nervous learner and driver, having cried many times when put under pressure and tested on my ability. And as I have already had two driving instructors previously with whom I struggled to continue my lessons, I hoped that 3rd time would be the charm when Martin was allocated my instructor. He sensed my tension and anxiety immediately on our first lesson and I cried from the pressure of trying so hard at 28 years' old to get my driver’s license. Martin patiently waited for me to get the crying out of my system (without making me feel more embarrassed than I already did) and handed me a tissue and some very useful life advice that has truly helped me in the months of lessons to come to be a good and safe driver. We started from scratch together and the tips and teachings from Martin I will likely continue to use whenever I drive. My advice for anyone seeking a driver instructor is to learn with Martin, ask as many questions as you can on driving (I certainly did, and he answered every single one, even when I had to ask again so that he could break it down and help me understand it in a different way), and most importantly, enjoy the journey as much as you can by reminding yourself that you are going through this so that you can drive a car safely on your own one day. I started learning with Martin at the end of May 2021 and I passed early October 2021. I recommend starting with the intensive course (so you don’t have time to talk yourself out of it and give up!) then go down to 2 days a week then 1 day a week the more you get the hang of it (each lesson being two hours long). Some days were hard, where I felt like I may never be able to get it, but keep trying, talk through your thoughts with Martin, and be patient with yourself. Practicing in driving is the key that will end up becoming experience. And Martin was the ideal teacher for my journey and he is now a supportive friend as well.
