Negative experience: WARNING THE 5 STAR REVIEWS ARE FAKE - HE CREATES FAKE ACCOUNTS FOR HIMSELF. Took my money for lessons then never showed up. Worst driving instructor out there, a complete scam.

Fantastic experience: Passed the extended driveing test with mike bishop on the 30/12/19 . Mike as a brilliant knowledge of the driveing test area in Macclesfield mike is very punctual reliable I would recommend mike to any one thinking of takeing there driveing test in Macclesfield

Throughout my experience Mike has been an excellent driving instructor who has helped me pass and gain the confidence I needed to get on the road successfully. Mike offers honest feedback throughout his teachings which really allow you to crack on with the driving, improve upon faults and build yourself up for the test. If excellence and honesty is what you need, Mike is the teacher you want in the Macclesfield area! Thanks again Mike, it has been a pleasure!

Fantastic experience: Great instructor, really knows his stuff

Negative experience: I took lessons with Mike in order to learn the test route in Macclesfield. I had already had many previous lessons in Manchester. Mike was reluctant to have my lessons in my own car which I wanted to take my test in, but eventually we did take some lessons in my car. I had issues with Mike cancelling at the last minute, despite me leaving my job in Manchester early to attend the lesson. I then had issues getting my money back from Mike. I would recommend you do not pay in advance for lessons or you will certainly have to argue to get your money back. I would put zero stars if this was possible.

Negative experience: “If you want to spend your driving lessons being shouted at, waiting outside your driving instructors house whilst he goes in his house to the toilet or to check his freezer food isn't melting and want to drive for a maximum of 30 minutes a lesson get Mike Bishop” Spot on.....this guy is a con man

Negative experience: First lesson I had with Mike we basically sat me in the car as he explained how a car worked this would be alright if I was a beginner but I already had my automatic license. As for the lesson/teaching, Mike would take you around the "Test Route" and he would shout "BREAK! BREAK!."Than he would swear randomly. I had to explain to Mike that he was only a foot away from my ear bums. I had 10 lesson with Mike, one time he forgot when he canceled on me, and claimed I had less lesson than I actually did. So guess what? A new argument started where I had to explained to Mike that he owned me my missing lesson. Than Mike decided to pull a fast one he said to me "in order to get you up to standard you'll will need to pay for a new 6 lesson." Because he wasn't going to let me sit the test in his car. He also like to tell people that on your test day you need two, two hour lesson booked with him. But the actual test is only 40 minutes long. This is how he can afford to be so cheap in the beginning, with that last lesson he can make up for his loses. If you did pay for lesson with Mike do not get into a argument with the man. This is what he wants so he can run off with your money, without teaching you. I use teaching loosely here. When Price is too good to be true it normally is.

Negative experience: This man is a scam, avoid like the plague! He constantly cancelled driving lessons on me making up ridiculous excuses. Always less than an hour before. I decided to go elsewhere but he wouldn't refund me the rest of the lessons I had paid for in bulk. Still £100 out of pocket.

Fantastic experience: Mike is more than just someone helping you pass your test he’s teaching you how do drive ! I have not had any of the problems that People have mentioned. He always arrived on time never cancelled on Me and is extremely professional and is the best driving instructor I know I will be recommending him to everyone. Dont belive the other reviews you read they are clearly a lie if he needs to grab the wheel or use the brakes he’s doing that so you don’t crash sounds perfectly reasonable to me honestly mike is the best thanks again for helping me pass.

Negative experience: Cuts the majority of the lessons (that he turns up to) short by 10/15 mins and still charges full price and when asking for a refund for my remainding lessons got ignored and no reply. Spend your money on someone that will help you learn to drive, like anyone but mike

Negative experience: people dont go to mike he tacks yout money then dont reply to your message or out he still owes me a lesson an want give me a refund bin asking him for weeks now he just blanking me so watch out guys

Fantastic experience: couldn't fault him . got me through my test swiftly . was always reliable and a genuinely nice guy who isn't all about taking money out of your pocket like some others out there .not to expensive either . - would recommend to anyone .

Fantastic experience: My experience with Mike was excellent. Hes a really good instructor who cares about his students. I read some negative reviews but honestly my experience with him makes me think they are not even talking about the same guy. I had 2 previous instructors who were no where near as good. He helped me feel confident and taught me a lot and I passed first time with Mike. Would recommend him to anyone.

Fantastic experience: A great instructor that knows his stuff! Very patient & easy going. Mike got my driving to test standard rapidly! I would highly recommend this instructor to anybody looking for lessons in the near future.

Fantastic experience: I came to Mike having booked my test already, thinking I would only need 2-3 exam technique lessons, but quickly discovered my driving was not up to scratch. Working within the time constraint of about 4 weeks due the booking, Mike brought my driving up to test standard very quickly, I found he was a good teacher that taught me how to drive naturally. I always got the full lesson and organising lesson times for the next week was always easy.

Negative experience: Sadly my experience with Mike was not as expected. I paid for 12 lessons. And in 6 weeks id only had 3. One week was due to illness (so that's fine) The 2nd missed lesson was because Mike turned up for a lesson he had not previously told me about. He apparently waited for me for 20mins, before driving off and then txting me 1 hour later, to tell me what had happened. When I told Mike that he had not made me aware of the lesson, he told me it was my responsibility to chase him , as it was hard for him to chase 30 pupils. The following week, I received a txt to say that I had not been in touch, therefore he had made other arrangements. And there was no lesson for me. I find it quite absurd that a driving instructor can not book in a pupil, as this his is business and part of his job and commitment. Especially as i had paid upfront. Another issue I had, was that I only got 40mins of driving on the 3 lessons that i did have. One occasion I even had to wait whist he went home to the toilet, I didn't realize i was paying him for this?? I was also told, that Mike would need to gain the travel time back, to and from my pickup/dropoff point. Is this not part of the service? I mean to have a lesson i surely have to be picked up and dropped off? why would i pay for that when others don't seem to charge for it/ I had decided to cancel the remaining lessons, as i did not feel satisfied wit the service i was getting. After explaining my situation to Mike, And to confirm, i remained civil throughout. He flat out refused to refund what he owned me. I then contacted citizens advice who who advised me that he was in effect breaking his terms on contract. I have also relayed this to Mike, who has failed to respond. I am now in the process of going through official channels to obtain a refund. I would not advise booking lessons with this driving school in any form.
