Everyman Racing Driving Experiences - Brands Hatch

Negative experience: Bought a Virgin junior driving experience gift card for £44. Thought it was a bargain, then was upsold at every opportunity on the day. £45 for damage waiver, £50 for photo and video package, £50-£70 for the passenger experience to actually be in a supercar rather than a standard BMW. The 3 laps lasted 5mins and the passenger exp was only one 30 second lap! Would avoid at all costs.

Negative experience: Scam! they force you to pay additional extras which are all more than the worth of the voucher. They claim an excess of £5K for as little as a scratch and that you have to pay £50 waiver fee plus you need to purchase more time as the drive is only 5 mins. In addition you also need to pay an extra £20 just to use the race track.

Fantastic experience: Wasn't myself participating but my mate, who had an absolute blast of a day and loved every minute of it. Great, happy, friendly and helpful instructors, staff were great all round and the day turned into a first class experience right across the board for him. Got to also say a big thank you to all the Brands Hatch staff who are always first class in every way.

Fantastic experience: Travelled over from Ireland for this as a present from my Fiance and the day couldn't have been better, 5 super cars, 6miles each. Having checked up many other driving experiences for comparison (such as Mondello) the value, choice of vehicles and number of laps was excellent. The day begins with signing in (Fill out the form before you arrive as they suggest and you won't be waiting for an hour like some of the negative comments) a short safety brief and then into the pits for your time slot. The whole day was from around 1pm to 5pm. The instructors were brilliant and the whole experience was worth the flight over. Some delays waiting for certain cars (GTR was popular for good reason!) and would have been nice to get a good look around the cars but the day was fairly busy, but over all couldn't fault the experience!

Positive experience: Instructors were excellent especially Jake in the Lambo. They let you know when to put your foot down and get the most out of the cars. Generally a decent venue, there is a lot of upselling when you get there but that's to be expected.

Fantastic experience: First time experience doing anything like this, I was super nervous to do something wrong, but the instructors are amazing, they make you feel super safe and well informed. The standout of the day for me was Declan Lee who was so enthusiastic about his job, he was with me in the 911 Carrera and clearly knew the track like the back of his hand and has a lot of knowledge to share. Found out afterwards he's the 2023 Miata Championship winner, so obviously I was right in saying he knows what he's doing lol! This is definitely worth doing, everyone involved in the event I attended was lovely and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic day, the staff and instructors were also brilliant, I'm sorry I can't recall the instructors name who was with me in the 911 Gt3 Rs today but he pushed me with this car! Amazing! Also if you can get out in the Aerial Atom, you will not be disappointed

Positive experience: Cars were brilliant, organisation appalling. Staff busy having personal conversations whilst lots of people waiting to be checked in - one staff member answered mobile phone in the middle of fitting for the helmet - shame because the venue is great, track was great and perfect conditions and the cars were also immaculate- shame your team let the show down really.

Fantastic experience: So much better than expected. I’d read a few reviews, people moaning that they weren’t able to have the full experience because the track was busy and instructors wouldn’t let them push the car hard. Completely the opposite for me, from the start it was all very seamless. From a quick briefing (no health and safety lectures). The two warm Up laps I would advise in, gives you a good idea on the racing line and what the track is like. Once in the cars, the instructors are all very relaxed, chatty and want you to have the best experience possible. David in the r8 v10+ was class! Up for laugh and then on track just pushed me to take the best race line and be on the throttle as much as possible. Was advised it wasn’t an overly busy day but there were still cars on the track but they will get out the way if you are a faster driver. Would certainly advise doing min 5/6 laps in a super car because laps are quick and over before you know it. All the staff were helpful, polite and just wanted to make your experience the best it could be. Only negative, had to wait around a bit for a car to be free but is that really a problem!?

Negative experience: Avoid booking at all costs lots of hidden extra extra costs not worth the money or the stress, son has fractured can't drive and won't move unless pay an extra £40 to move from a £30 Christmas voucher. Poor customer service and don't care attitude just want to make as much money as they can for you ! Not worth it at all

Negative experience: Awful. Cars are in a dire state, both visually and mechanically. Pottering about at 30mph around a 1.2 mile track for 3 laps, forced to change gear like a taxi driver - i.e. 4th when 2nd is needed - and told off for accelerating too quickly on one of the straights. You'll drive faster around a roundabout on the way to Tesco. And to top it off, constant up-selling cars, insurance, video footage, etc. There are some ok driving experience companies out there, but this one feels really sleazy. Hard avoid.

Fantastic experience: I had 6miles in the GT3 RS, great fun and reasonably priced. Just over way too quick. Thank you Jack, great instructor! Having read the other reviews below, I feel it worth mentioning that once Jack had a chance to judge my driving, he was in fact encouraging me to overtake and accelerate. I felt the initial care/caution of the instructors, is likely to preserve their own existence as well as these stunningly well kept cars. Can you blame them? After all, you could go and buy your own. For me, there’s no better place to get a taster. Thank you! Traction off next time Jack?

Negative experience: Compré esta experiencia para regalársela a mi esposo por su cumpleaños. Estuvo fatal: - Él tuvo que pagar más del doble del regalo por muchas cosas: seguro, upgrade de carros porque los que incluye son de hace 20 años, paquete de fotos, videos. - En la pista los conductores van a menos de 60-50 porque hay muchos carros en la pista. Voy más rápido en mi auto cualquier martes por la autopista. - El tiempo de espera es ridículo, 30-40 minutos para algunos carros “upgrade” porque solo tienen uno de esa categoría. - Aunque pagues por el paquete de fotos, las fotos son fatales, no te toman de todos los carros porque “se les pierden”, su impresora imprime con rayas en las fotos. - prepárate para hacer filas: para el check in, para las fotos, para pedir el carro, para esperar el carro. - Todo te quieren vender extra. Si pagas £200-250 por 6 carros, solo encontrarás carros viejos, 3 laps por auto. TODO lo demás es extra. - los carros incluidos están mega sucios por dentro, con rayones por fuera, con señales de mantenimiento encendidas en el tablero. Sonaba a un plan increíble y solo sentí que fue un robo. Mal hecho!

Negative experience: Yes, it was a good experience. But read this: it's CRAZY expensive. I mean, it was ridiculously expensive. We paid £200 to drive 6 cars, but then comes the catch... you then have to pay crazy amounts of money if you want cool cars (the ones "included" are 20 years old), more laps", photos, videos, etc, etc. So yes, we had a great time with cool cars after paying another £250 on top of the original payment. Also, the cars need urgent maintainence, you can even hear it in the brakes and engine... one even said "air bag fault" (OMG!!). The "included" cars, on top of being super old, some were very dirty on the inside, full of scratches.

Negative experience: I booked and paid for an experience through the website only to receive a phone call a day later saying i need to pay more money. Why wasn't all charges declared at checkout? False advertising, ripp off. Boo

Negative experience: For a premium package, was really disappointed. Poor organisation and package was a complete rip off. Photo/video package was downloaded wrong and contained everyone but my husband due to the person rushing and not allowing us to check. Wasn’t given the extra laps that were paid for, down to poor organisation and the company overbooking the day. The list of let downs were endless but the company’s attempt to correct my complaints/feedback…zero! Such a shame but definitely won’t book with this company again.

Negative experience: Bought my Husband a supercar driving experience last Christmas - like many of you probably. I thought it would be an experience for my husband to race around the Brands Hatch track with 3 supercars (which he has even upgraded to a premium package to drive the GT3 RS, Ferrari 488 and R8). Here is what you will find: Up to 1hr queue to get signed in. Then another 15-30min wait for every car that you would like to drive. When you finally get in to your desired car after rounds of wrong miscommunication between the staff members, you then will not be allowed to have your photo taken by your own partner or company. Photos are solely taken by 'professional photographers' and they make sure to cover your sight and close the door on you. When you think you are about to 'race around the track', you are being told to stay below 5k rev and not exceed 90mph. When you are about to change to another car (plus the extra wait) you are then being told that that car is out of service and you may downgrade to a Porsche or a vehicle of lower qualification, OR queue another 30min for an equal grade. At that point my husband had lost his interest and patience, and so have I. This company has clearly overbooked their experience days, and understaffed and/or forgot to train their staff. Also these experiences need to be described more appropriately and be sectioned into different "Skill groups" - a skilled driver will not tolerate being talked to like it's his first day in a car. also I believe the company name should certainly not include the word "racing" - it's misleading in every way.

Fantastic experience: Had a lovely day with my daughters at Everyman today. Great experience and lovely people at Goodwood. Well organised and kept us rolling straight through our 6car experiences

Negative experience: TERRIBLE driving experience, barely could even drive the car, because we were instructed on everything in the car as puppets not as a driver. I would have more fun in a Tesco car when it’s lunch time than be on the track. Not all the driving instructors were bad 2 out of the 3 were friendly, but one was so moody and unfriendly and didn’t put the customers experience first. The wavers were irrelevant as you couldn’t drive the car with your own brain, so they took money away from me for nothing. I didn’t even excess 60mph on the track, when in my corsa on the way home I was going faster than that on the M25 and that’s a rarity in itself to travel that speed on the M25. All in all, not worth the costly fees that charge you. Go karting for a third of the price is more thrilling, with a better DRIVING experience, as you can use your own brain on how to drive the kart. The company seemed too money hungry and barely care for what they selling. You should be assessed on your ability to drive the car and mentored from there, with proper preparation in place instead of ripping all your money out your wallet and making you go slower than you can go on a single carriage way on a RACE track, which is designed for cars to drive FAST on.

Negative experience: Absolute con not worth the money could get a better expirence on a push bike. Not aloud to go over 50mph there is no point in doing it save your money go else where absolute disgrace to the driving experience community I

Fantastic experience: I went on my own to get out of my comfort zone as I had got the experience as a gift, today was a different experience especially if you’re a petrolhead & love your cars I’d recommend you try it. Sam done our team briefing then explained all the nuisances of what the day was going to entail & all the instructions riding with me were excellent at both pushing beyond speeds & being patient & understanding on areas where I made mistakes. 40 is essentially the pro level score, I am happy to know that I started the day on 30 & was aiming for minimum of 36 as the day progressed I’m happy to say I got better but I feel I levelled out once I got 34, but I’d consider that impressive for my first outing & having 4 different supercars for 3 miles each was both a challenge as they all brought something different but also enjoyable knowing I can variety in the vehicle options. Again thank you to your team for a great day out.

Fantastic experience: A very well organised event. Plenty of super cars to drive. Instructors are very patient and know what they are doing. All in all a great driving experience. From checking in, the drivers briefing to finding the different garages for the different makes of cars. All was well done. Thank you Everyman Racing.

Negative experience: Be wary of booking an upgrade before the day, the upgraded car was not available on the day (£50) so on the day they fobbed off with a cheaper upgrade (£30) and refused to refund the difference. Other than that a pleasant day other than from what I understand instructor's could have been a bit more lenient to allow it to be an 'experience' rather than a day of obeying rules.

Positive experience: I bought this driving experience for my husband for his birthday.  Everything would be fine if the instructor had not just ruined the day. He was very tense and telling my partner to keep pressing the brake pedal. My husband was disappointed because he spent most of the time driving slowly behind other drivers. Also, I took a passenger ride in a demo car, BMW first series, and the instructor was very unprofessional, telling me that I' should be careful because I could break a belt buckle, but for me' it was just difficult to fasten a seat belt.I don't recommend it just because of the instructors negative point of view.

Negative experience: Disappointing recent driving experience on a Saturday morning. Two of the three instructors couldn't have been less interested. So many cars on the circuit at any one time that you need a good instructor to manage the overtaking. Unfortunately I spent most of the time driving slowly behind other drivers.

Fantastic experience: Great day, friendly staff and great cars, I had a ferrari 430, Lambourgini gallardo, carrera 4 and the Aerial Atom. Awesome cars, for me the Lambo won over the rest, 430 could have been up there bit sadly the one I drove was high mileage and tbh a bit tatty, still went well though

Fantastic experience: I am not a massive petrol head but this was a brilliant day I learnt so much and I really enjoyed the whole experience. For me it was definitely well worth the money.

Fantastic experience: After a wet and slow start in an Ariel Atom, the track dried and I met the highlight of the day... not the cars but instructor Dave Tee in the Audi R8 V10 +. He is a quality instructor, giving great pointers on my driving and letting me experience the capabilities of the car. Well worth getting out there and went back out with him for a few more laps. The only thing I would have liked to do was have the start finish straight with out the chicane to get the experience of the top speeds. All in all a quality experience and would recommend it to anyone.
