Fantastic experience: Irene was a great teacher, very chatty which made me feel relaxed and more than happy to re teach stuff if you didn't understand or was confused about something! Passed first time, having done theory 4 times, and now feel safe in the car! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I got recommended Bangor Driving Academy through a friend as I was getting nervous before and during driving lessons. I had a really nice chat with Richard and I decided I wanted to give an automatic lesson a go to see if that would help my confidence and I am so thankful I did! Irene did my automatic lessons and she is an incredible instructor! She really prepared me for driving not just on my test but in the future too, as well as teaching me how to take care of a car I get. I passed my driving test first time!!!!!! Irene was always happy to book me in for as many lessons as I wanted, even when it wasn't the most convenient for her, this really helped me boost my confidence and I couldn't thank her enough. We had a lot of laughs and I learnt so much about Switzerland and fashion! Thank you for building my confidence and being so patient with me!

Fantastic experience: Can not recommend Richard enough. Passed with 3 minors after only a few lessons with him. Made a nervous experience very calm with a sense of humour and years of knowledge, he is an expert at what he does and I highly recommend him to anyone who wishes to pass their test! Their patience and professionalism was amazing. They were always punctual and happy to accomodate any changes in my university schedule. Fantastic experience: I couldn't be happier with the outcome of my driving after learning with Richard. I passed first time after a few months of lessons, Richard made me feel comfortable and confident in myself for my test even when I thought I wasn't going to do well, Irene, who mock tested me was very professional and kind and really helped me to improve on my driving before my test. Richard had the patience of a saint and made me feel calm and comfortable throughout my whole driving experience. I would highly recommend Bangor Driving Academy, I couldn't have passed my test without them.

Negative experience: Wish I went with someone else!! I had one lesson where Richard was very nice, so I decided to pay in bulk so I wouldn’t run out of money. As soon as he had the money he changed- he would smoke in the car, swear and would hardly ever be able to fit me in! I needed lessons more than once a week to become more comfortable but he couldn’t. Richard would shout at me in the car to “GO GO GO” which has now made me a very nervous driver and rushing to do everything. He once told me off for doing a hill start the wrong way, when he had never taught me how to do one! Richard was very impatient and rude and I advise everyone not to go with him.

Fantastic experience: Learn to drive with Irene. Learnt lots very quickly with her, got me through my test with flying colours. Thank you for that. would defiantly recommend to anyone wanting to learn to drive. 100% the best instructor in Bangor.

Fantastic experience: Cannot fault Bangor Driving Academy, helped me pass my test with only one minor fault in a matter of months. Richard taught me things in a way i could understand and remember - and made manoeuvres easy to do. The inclusion of mock tests also prepared me even more on what to expect during the real thing. I also had lessons with Irene, in order to identify any areas that might have been missed which again helped me really master my driving. Would HIGHLY recommend, can have great conversation, always accommodate as best they can, always on time for lessons! All around great driving school. Couldn't be more glad i learnt to drive with them.

Fantastic experience: Had a fantastic time learning with Richard his knowledge, advice and patience were invaluable. It was also very helpful getting extra lessons from Irene to get a different persons perspective on my progress. All in all I don't think I could have passed without Bangor Driving Academy, I will definitely be recommending them to others.

Fantastic experience: Having failed my test 3 times before due to nerves (with someone else), Richard helped me improve both my confidence and driving ability. Because of this I was able to pass with only 3 minors. Not only is he a great instructor with a wealth of experience, he is also a great guy with a great sense of humour. For anyone learning to drive I very highly recommend Richard!

Fantastic experience: Brilliant experience learning to drive with Richard and Irene. Learning to drive in a 2 Litre BMW 1 Series was an absolute joy, Richard has a great sense of humour and his years of experience as a driving instructor were invaluable. I put a lot of pressure on Richard in getting me to pass in a very short space of time, and sure enough, I passed first time! I did a mock test with Irene, which was absolutely brilliant as I was able to have a second opinion on my driving and noticed habits that hadn't been flagged previously. Irene is a lovely lady, who also has a great sense of humour and put me at ease throughout the lesson as we chatted about everything from poor road conditions to living in Switzerland! Altogether a brilliant duo and would highly recommend learning with these incredibly friendly and supportive instructors.

Fantastic experience: My lessons with Irene were just amazing. She was very professional, always on time and In'ever had any kind of bad experience with her. Being very patient, you'll learn very easily with her if you're willing to learn. She knows all the tips you'll need to succeed on the the exam day ! For the record I did 2 minor mistakes during the test; once again, thanks to her & to the driving Academy.

Fantastic experience: I failed my test 4 times when I was 19, all due to being a nervous wreak! I gave up and the thought of going back into a car made me so nervous I felt sick! Four years later, with the help of Richard my confidence grew and I passed my test straight away, with no minors. Richard has been amazing, so calm and reassuring and really helped get over my nervous! I recommend him to anyone who wants to learn how to drive! Thanks Richard!

Fantastic experience: Having struggled with driving lessons for a while with other instructors I was recommended to try Irene of Bangor Driving Academy using her automatic vehicle. What a difference! Her bubbly, cheerful, warm personality, put me at ease from the beginning giving me the confidence I needed, and I looked forward to my weekly lessons. She was consistently prompt and professional, and arranged two mock tests for me before I finally took the plunge!...........and Yes I passed first time!! Thanks Irene, I still miss our weekly drive and your hilarious tales!!

Fantastic experience: Great instructor, Highly recommended. Was very nervous before I started doing my driving lessons but Richard made me very comfortable with the car and helped in building my confidence. Had some trouble for a few weeks which knocked my confidence a bit but Richard was very understanding and had patience while I got things sorted. Also had two lessons with Irene to get another opinion on how my progress was going and both lessons had some positive outcomes. Passed my test on my first attempt and don't think I could have done that with any other instructor in the area.
