Fantastic experience: I was very anxious when I found Derek, having found my first instructor confusing and not passed my first test. Derek got me to pass my test after just two lessons with him and then we had a further motorway lesson a few days after I passed. I had a year of lessons with my first instructor and couldn't pass - Derek by contrast was able to get to the heart of what I was unclear on, and get me relaxed and confident in the car. I passed within a few weeks of my first test. If you're looking for a patient and fun instructor to get you on the road, then you can't go wrong with Derek - a lovely man and teacher! He never made me feel that I wasn't capable and was always very positive and encouraging. Derek really gave me confidence to get on the road and made the whole experience fun. Fantastic experience: What can I say I found the perfect driving instructor in Derek. Derek is so placid. I started in October last year I was a nervous wreck. Derek put me at ease straightaway. If I struggled with anything we would just take our time until I mastered it. I passed my test today 06/08/24. Derek would not have let me go for my test if he didn't think I could pass. I would definitely recommend derek per cent to anyone.

Derek has a calm and confident approach that puts people at ease. Derek can read body language well, which is incredibly helpful for him to properly assess any challenges a learner might be having. Fantastic experience: Couldn't recommend Derek more. Before, I was with an instructor who stressed me out, and being a really anxious person this had a real detrimental effect on my driving. Derek's calm and relaxed way of teaching led me to gaining the confidence I needed to get a good pass!

Fantastic experience: I'm a 38 year old guy. Who hasn't had a lesson in 21 years. Circumstances now mean I need to drive for my job. First lesson was obviously nervous but Derek was amazing. He talked me through everything calmly and in a relaxed manner. Then from there we progressed as he saw fit. From driving round the block in scone spoutwells area to eventually letting me loose on duel carriageways etc. The time and patience he put in to helping me was fantastic. Truly an amazing instructor. Just his manor and personality is next to none. I sat my test on a Thursday on the 29th of June this year and honestly I was not nervous at all. Derek said I was ready so I truly believed that. I got 3 minors at first time sitting my test. Genuinely u will not get a better instructor in perth. Im not biased thats a fact. Thank u Derek for everything u did for me. Im truly grateful . Top guy top instructor
