Fantastic experience: Fantastic driving instructor, I started to believe I was never going to pass my test until I started having lessons with Dave. From day one he has been supportive and built up my confidence and enabled me to drive confidently and safely. I would highly recommend Dave to anyone needing automatic lessons.

Fantastic experience: Dave is a good intructor, great communication and able to give detailed feedback and provide awareness on which parts of driving that you should focus on for improvement. At all times i felt relaxed and at ease while driving and never under any pressure.

Dave will believe in you even when you don’t believe in yourself, and he will push you to become the best driver you possibly can be. Fantastic experience: Had a first time pass today with Dave. I simply couldn’t have done it without him. I’d had lessons with other instructors prior and I was starting to loose hope and thought maybe driving wasn’t for me. I WAS a nervous, anxious driver to say the least. Come across Dave and didn’t look back. I was no longer dreading lessons and actually enjoyed them. He believed in me when others didn’t and kept me cool, calm and collected. He’s patient, a great teacher with up to date knowledge and all round great guy. He doesn’t just teach you to get you through your test, he gives you skills for life which is what just made my confidence grow and empowered me to know I had the skills and very much could do it! He hasn’t helped me just gain my independence but also faith and trust in my own abilities. Thanks again Dave.

Fantastic experience: Dave has the patience off a saint. The pupil I sent him can on her day test any one to the limit. However he was persistent with her and got her through the test on the first attempt. Believe me that was an incredible achievement with this pupil. I would recommend him every time absolutely first rate

If I was struggling always made sure we would go through it again till I got an understanding. I’ve had some ups and downs but Dave did all he could. Fantastic experience: I have had a couple of instructors that I cannot recommend to learners; my second instructor could not contain his fury whenever I made mistakes. Dave was godsend when I met him. He restored my confidence, was calm, professional, and willing to listen. He always had a plan for each lesson. He is very complimentary when I did something right, and when I didn’t get it right, he would ask, “How could you have done that better?” I enjoy hearing those compliments, and I would recommend him without hesitation

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing instructor. Dave’s very friendly, patient and professional. He throughly and clearly explains all driving techniques and methods whilst maintaining a calm and stress free environment, which allowed me to feel confident in my abilities and comfortable on the road from the very start. Dave sets out lesson plans to allow enough time for everything to be covered and heavily involves you in the process. He’s engaging and handles any questions with ease, appropriately tackling any concerns. I passed first time thanks to Dave and could not recommend him more :)

Fantastic experience: Couldnt of asked for a better driving instructor than Dave. He makes you feel calm and at ease behind the wheel.There was alway a clear plan of what we needed to achieve each lesson and he would make sure I hit those targets no matter how many attempts it took.I wouldn’t of been able to do it without him! 100% recommend.

Fantastic experience: Dave had a great challenge to help me “unlearn” all my bad habits to pass my test as I’ve been a driver for 21 years now in my country and needed to get my UK license. Good job! He’s very professional, great feedback and tips all way through and with his help I managed to pass on my first attempt. Couldn’t be more pleased! Now it’s my husband’s time to have lessons with him. Fantastic experience: I am so pleased to have had Dave of Holdfast Driver Training as my instructor. He took this middle-aged American with 40 years of bad driving habits and not only helped prepare me to pass my test on the first go but also taught me to be a much better driver. As many other reviewers have noted, he’s very patient, calm and professional. I’ll go a step further and say he’s damn near unflappable. He’s also a thoroughly decent human being. Fantastic experience: David is a brilliant instructor he is patient and helps you stay calm when you’re driving. He also gives many useful tips on how to drive safely before and after your test whether driving manual or automatic. He will make you feel confident and comfortable with your driving I would highly recommend David he’s an amazing instructor and help me pass my test.

Fantastic experience: I honestly can not recommend Dave enough ! He is totally professional and I00% reliable. Dave made me feel comfortable from first lesson abs has the patience of a saint. Other instructors were only interested in what was needed to pass the test and Dave’s main interest was to make sure I was a good driver and new what to do in any situation! Thankyou so so much !
