Fantastic experience: No longer walkin the plank to work! Me instructor Matthew hoisted me out of Davey Jones' locker with his teachin worth a thousand treasures and more! The seven motorways are now sailed with more ease than choosin between rum or a keelhaulin! Only 4 little faults, awesome teacher, taught me everything I need to know and more. Easy 10/10

Fantastic experience: My time with Matthew was not only enjoyable but very effective and efficient. He was very accommodating to me being away at boarding school and allowed me to make the most of the few opportunities I had at home. His happy and always positive attitude made my lessons all the more enjoyable. He taught me exactly what I needed, and left me feeling confident for my test and for driving independently afterwards. I can’t thank him enough, and would recommend him to anyone looking for lessons.

Fantastic experience: Each lesson with Matthew was fun, engaging, and perfectly challenging, allowing me to progress steadily. Matthew struck an ideal balance between pointing out areas for improvement and consistently affirming my progress, ensuring I felt like a safer and more confident driver, even when I doubted myself. Learning to drive was something I was nervous about from the start. Whereas other instructors may get frustrated or angry at students making the same mistake for weeks on end ( 2 previous instructors in my experience), Matthew establishes early on that these mistakes are expected, completely normal and offers practical steps to eliminate them. Matthew's lessons are not just about learning to drive but about making the experience enjoyable and memorable. If you are slightly apprehensive or nervous about learning to drive (as I was) I would not recommend anyone else! You'll also get a very unique, and interesting pass photo at the end! The theme of mine was words that you could fit the name LEE within. For example, BeautifulLEE or LoveLEE (hence the heart in my photo). These photos don't have to be huge productions if you don't want them to be. These themes often come up naturally in lessons and then build from there. Note: Anyone looking for a quick fix need not apply. Matthew ensures you're at a very high standard before going for your test, without holding you back unnecessarily. For anyone seeking a high-quality learning experience, I wouldn't recommend anyone else!

My time learning with Matthew was nothing but enjoyable because of his well-rounded personality and enthusiasm that he would bring to each lesson. The patience and confidence Matthew had with me throughout helped build my own confidence while driving which was a main factor in why I passed my test

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Matthew as a driving instructor. He is very knowledgeable, patient and motivational. Within 30 hours he took me from a nervous newbie into a test ready, confident driver. I passed with flying colours and it was all down to his ability to teach and impart his experience and knowledge to me. During classes Matthew was very enthusiastic and encouraging. His teaching style made driving with him fun and enjoyable. He focused on my specific mistakes in a positive manner, giving me the confidence to reflect and fix them without feeling like I had been belittled. Leading up to the test Matthew spent a lot of time running through mock-tests with me, so when I took the real test there were no surprises. I felt calm and focused. If I had taken the test without his instruction I would have been far more nervous. I can’t thank Matthew enough for his patience, honesty and encouragement!

Fantastic experience: As a parent, I would recommend Matthew for any less than confident teen learner. Our daughter liked his calm (yet enthusiastic) and positive manner, which made her feel comfortable and at ease behind the wheel. She passed first attempt thanks to Matthew’s practical instruction and consistent mock tests. The app he uses is also handy for communication around booking lessons, monitoring progress and accessing extra resources for preparing for theory and ‘Show Me/Tell Me’ questions in the practical. Excellent work Matthew, you’re a star!

Fantastic experience: I changed to Matthew after failed attempts at driving with other instructors - it was the best decision I could have made! With a clear and constructive teaching style, each lesson was purposeful - we had aims and targets for my driving and each one was addressed thoroughly. Matthew made sure that I was able to clearly see and understand what went well and how I could improve. Endlessly calm, patient and encouraging (especially with any mistakes and generally throughout the whole learning process), I was able to pass my test with only one fault (a stall) - which I believe is a strong testament to his teaching! Moreover, Matthew's instruction encouraged me to be the best driver I could be and was about more than passing tests. Every lesson built my confidence, which is definitely thanks to a teaching style built upon enthusiasm and positivity! I will miss travelling around Neyland and Pembroke, chatting about TV and films! Fantastic experience: Matthew was a friend’s referral who didn’t disappoint. He fitted in ad-hoc lessons with me, often with very late notice, over the course of a year living between London and Wales, and in-between the lockdowns, always ensuring I got back up to speed in no time. His humour and positive energy is infectious and brought the best out of me on test day! Would recommend to anyone; you’ll never have a dull drive.
