Fantastic experience: I had been driving for a year, learning from family, not being able to find an instructor. I reached out to Candice and she phoned me and we had a lengthy assessment conversation over the phone and she contacted me when she had a cancellation so I could have a lesson. She was great at fitting me in and keeping in contact with me when a lesson became available. Fantastic experience: My test is soon, and Candy has been great to get me where I am! She keeps me calm (I have a tendency to panic at the wheel!) and explains everything before we do it, and is completely transparent about what to expect when it gets to my test, and I feel thoroughly prepared for independent driving beyond that. All in all a very good experience, definitely recommend Candy and her services.

Fantastic experience: I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my learning experience so far. Candice has been been brilliant at teaching me all I need to know and made the experience that much easier. I went into learning to drive thinking I would never get to grips with it, but Candice has just been amazing at giving me the confidence to learn. I was offered and took up the opportunity to use the Test Buddy App, which has a wide range of free courses that guides you through the many aspects of learning to drive. There was also a few courses that help you to deal with anxiety and nerves , which made a huge difference when it came to learning. I recommend Candice highly to anyone who wishes to learn to drive!

Fantastic experience: Thank you to candy for getting me through my test first time with only 2 minors! At the beginning I had zero confidence in my driving but as the lessons went on my confidence grew. After many melt downs I’m so happy I stuck with it and can now take my children out in the school holidays. So thank you Candy.

Fantastic experience: Candy I cannot put into words how grateful I am for you not only teaching me how to drive and giving me my independence (finally) but also for teaching me how to have confidence in myself, whether it’s my driving or my everyday life. You’ve helped me grow in so many ways and I can’t express how much I will miss our lessons. You are not only a wonderful teacher (the best there is) but an incredible woman with the biggest heart and I can safely say that if it wasn’t for you I would’ve given up on driving long ago as we both know how petrified I was at the start. Your constant reassurance and willingness to go at what ever pace I wanted (even if that was to start right back at the beginning every couple of lessons) was so helpful to me as I never ever felt pressured by you to be at a certain level or to be at specific stage. I’ve loved you being a part of my life each week, not only for the driving side, but to have you there to genuinely listen and to cry to about the things I’ve dealt with over the year and a half I was learning with you… there’s no words I can say that would allow you to understand just how much that meant and still means to me. Fantastic experience: I started learning with Candy 3 years ago, taking my lessons in a manual, full of anxiety, I was such a nervous driver, Candy was always so good with me and my nerves, but life got in the way and I stopped my lessons, I have literally had a 3 year break from any driving, I’m now back learning again with her but this time in a automatic, yeah I no I always say oh my god I wouldn’t be seen dead in a auto, but........GAME CHANGER, I’m so much more relaxed, still full of anxiety and nerves, but with Candy’s help and encouragement, this time around it feels like everything is falling into place, I’m taking in everything she is teaching me without having to worry about what gear I’m in, clutch control, it’s less of a panic in my head. Candy has this way of teaching, she knows when I’m having a really anxious day, but doesn’t make it obvious that she knows, we just talk about things before we set off, and when I’m calm off we go, it can be very embarrassing at times suffering with anxiety and nerves, it’s really nice to not feel silly or stupid for the way I’m feeling, I would highly recommend booking with Candy!!

Fantastic experience: I had a set of lessons with Candy over the summer before I went back to Uni. I did not have enough lessons to be test-ready yet, but I feel confident in the skills that she taught me. I got a strong feeling that I was being taught to properly drive in the real world, beyond just being able to pass a driving test, which I expect many other instructors may just prepare their students for. Additionally, when necessary, I felt that Candy clearly explained elements of how the car worked or aspects of theory that allowed me to understand why doing certain things made the car do what I wanted it to and thus improved my mind-muscle connection. To top it off, Candy was lovely company in the car beside me and I felt very comfortable either chatting when we could or when she gently directed me if I was making a mistake or forgetting something.

When I first started lessons I was so anxious but every lesson she was kind and patient with me and really helped my confidence grow, without her patience and clear instructions I wouldn’t have got as far as I have, today (27.08.21) I passed my test and I am so grateful to Candy for all the effort she put into helping me to get to where I am today!! 100% recommend!!

Fantastic experience: Candy's an excellent, thorough instructor. It was very difficult to learn to drive a manual in the UK after driving an automatic in the US, but thanks to Candy's instruction I passed my first UK driving test with zero faults.

Fantastic experience: I would like to recommend Candy Hardcastle’s Lemon Squeezy Driving Academy to all my friends and family. Things like Anxiety or have learning difficulty, with the help of online courses and teaching it helped me with my driving and my practical test at the end I had no problem I flew through my test with flying colours. Candy understood that I am a slow learner and english isn’t my first language. The driving academy always helped me out on being prepared for my test and she helped me become confident in myself and always made me feel comfortable and like I was achieving my goals even when they where only small. I appreciate all the help and kindness she gave me to make sure I was comfortable and gave me as much time as I needed.

Fantastic experience: Today I passed my test with only one fault in Yeovil with Lemon Squeezy. Having had two previous instructors, I can safely say that Candice is by far the best out there. First and perhaps most importantly, Candice is very friendly; she made me feel at ease and comfortable every lesson. This was not something that I could have said of my previous instructors. In addition to this, Candice was patient with me at all times and would explain things in different ways until I understood exactly what she meant which allowed me to progress at a faster rate. Lastly, Candice was exceptionally reliable and held good communication with me at all times. I was always clear exactly when my lessons were and would be notified if there was a spare slot that I could take that week. Overall, I could not fault Candice and her dedication to me over the past few months and would recommend her to anyone out there who wants to learn how to drive. Thank you so much!!

Always ran through each topic of learning thoroughly and even loved it if you made a mistake, so you could learn from them. Her skills and flexibility, tailoring the lessons to his needs, saved time and ensured the lesson was a total success.
