Fantastic experience: Would recommend Wells Driver Training to any learner looking to start driving. At 27 I was quite nervous coming into driving. Sam was flexible around my work schedule and ensured our lessons were informative and meaningful. He helped me be confident and patient with myself, leading me to pass first time ⭐️ You can really tell that he cares about his pupils and their success - which isn’t always a guarantee with instructors. Fantastic experience: Sam has been amazing at teaching our 17yr old son, Mikey, to drive. Very patient and chilled out which has been great for a nervous learner. Passed first time with 2hr lessons once a week and all within 4 months of starting to drive. Would highly recommend Sam and have also given his details to family who are now booked in with him too. Fantastic experience: I was so nervous when I started taking lessons again and struggled with anxiety and low confidence when behind the wheel, Sam was absolutely amazing explained everything and made each lesson fun, his calm and patient attitude towards driving made me feel much more at ease and today I passed with only two minor faults and I couldn’t have done it without him, by far one of the best driving instructors in the FK area - if you’re looking for lessons then wells driver training is definitely where to go!! Fantastic experience: Learning to drive was something I initially felt like I had to do as an investment in my future as opposed to something I wanted to do. I went into my lessons wracked with anxiety and not sure if I would follow through I can confidently say that with most instructors I would have given up. Thanks to Sam I didn't. He was always honest, fair and friendly but above all was incredibly considerate of my fears and concerns regarding driving. I now actively enjoy driving, something I would never have dreamed of in the past. Thanks to Sam's patience (and of course skill, he's a fantastic at what he does) I'm now free to go where I want without relying on others. Would highly recommend Sam, especially if you're nervous or unsure. He made me feel very at ease and I wouldn't have gotten where I am without him.

Negative experience: I'd think twice about choosing wells they seem to think it's ok to teach pupils that it's ok to park at a lowered kerb, last time I read my highway code rule 243 it says it's not

Fantastic experience: Sam is an excellent teacher and I would recommend him to anyone wanting to learn driving! I’ve had lessons with a previous instructor but didn’t continue with them. Sam has very kindly advise me to take on a semi intensive course after doing an assessment lesson with him. Sam’s always honest with you and will use different methods/analogies to make you understand a concept. Sam has made sure I’m familiar with test routes and has well preped me for my test, in which I’ve passed my test first time. Overall very happy to have learnt from Sam! He’s always cheerful and is someone who you can always have a good chat during lessons! Thanks Sam!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Sam for anyone who’s looking into learning to drive! Sam’s very knowledgeable and will go an extra mile to make sure you understand the key points of driving. I personally struggled with anxiety around driving and have had some bad experience with my previous instructor, but Sam’s patience and fun teaching style has always kept lessons lively, fun and engaging. Sam has helped a lot to build my confidence with driving. Fantastic experience: As a 29 year old who was not yet on the roads, I had many uncertainties about how to approach my practical driving test. I chose to go down the intensive driving course route, and Sam was more than willing to help facilitate this for me when originally reaching out to him. My original driving test date was unfortunately announced to be an examiner strike action day, but Sam was happy to accommodate this by shifting the intensive course dates to suit the postponed test date. When it came to the course itself, I was somehow transformed into a complete novice on the first day to a competent enough driver to pass the test 10 days later, and I can only thank Sam and his guidance for that! Not only a great instructor but a very friendly chap to boot! I'm actually looking forward to driving on the roads now - who would've thought?!

I suffer with bad anxiety so driving a car was a very scary concept for me but Samuel is the most calming, relaxing and laid back instructor. Fantastic experience: Just passed my test today first try thanks to Sam and I’m so thankful. Always very professional and articulate when going over improvements to get me ready for test day. When I started driving I was always nervous and wasn’t very confident, after all he’s taught me, I’ve become a much more confident driver. He’s nice and easy to talk to and always had a laugh on lessons.

Fantastic experience: Cannot thank sam enough, he definitely goes the extra mile for everyone of his pupils giving me the most help he could, and fitting me to his busy schedule, his teaching skills I found worked amazing as I have had previous instructors but found him the best to learn with. I would highly recommend him to everyone I know!

Fantastic experience: Just passed my test first time today and Im very very happy words cannot describe.First of all I would like to say that I have had previous instructers,but I felt their way of teaching was not great and it was if they cared more about taking my money, than teaching me how to drive.However with Sam he made me feel comfortable while driving and we were always able to have a great laugh during our lessons.He is honestly a great driving instructor and a great guy in general.Would 10/10 recommend.Thanks Sam!

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t recommend sam enough! From the beginning, right to our last lesson, he was very understanding and a really nice guy. Sam genuinely cared for his pupils, if you weren’t ready to sit a test he would openly tell you and explain why and he never wanted anyone to spend so much on a test if they weren’t ready. We had a lot of laughs which made my lessons a lot less tense and always made me look forward to our next. He always explained things clearly but with the odd times when I didn’t understand he would find another way to explain it and I’d be good to go. On the day of my test sam picked me up early to get me ready for my it. We went over my manoeuvres multiple times to make sure I remembered them all and he fixed any little mistakes I had. I was very anxious but as we drove during my lesson he explained what was going to happen during my test. When we got to the test centre we parked and we walked over as we did he explained more what I was going to do and when it was going to happen. I’m so grateful that same explained everything! Really settled my nerves knowing what to expect. He really boosted my confidence with driving and I wouldn’t of passed my test and been where I am now without him. So if your looking for a instructor, Wells is definitely the way to go! :)

Fantastic experience: I can’t thank Sam enough for getting me through my driving test, I have had problems with driving instructors before and Sam was my 4th instructor. He has such a positive mind set and grew my confidence massively over the past few months, I truly believe I couldn’t have done it with out him! He had loads of patience with me and made me believe in my self. He really wants his pupils to do well and went above and beyond to make sure I passed, he is such a genuine and professional guy and made our lessons fun and enjoyable, if your looking for a driving instructor I highly recommend him! From the very start the team were so helpful with me over the phone which encouraged me to book with him and I’m so glad I did, thanks so much again Sam.

Fantastic experience: So after taking driving lessons for around 10 years (on and off) I came across Sam at Wells driving. I have quite bad anxiety, and my first lesson Sam managed to settle my nerves and make me feel comfortable by chatting to me and explaining everything in detail. We had a number of lessons as I had my test booked already after being let down my a previous driving instructor. Sam fit me in and got to work straight away in training me to test standard. Any nerves I had previously were gone as I felt I had made a friend in my new instructor which made me feel extremely at ease and more confident in my driving. Any hiccups we had on the road, were swiftly talked about in detail and explained to prevent me from making the same mistake. Test day was today, Sam picked me up extra early (when he didn't need to) and got me on the road and prepared for anything that might come up in my test. Again Sam gave me a run down of what was going to happen on my test and had me prepped for anything that might crop up. I passed first time with 1 minor fault, which wasn't even about my driving (it was the tell me question). Flawless drive and I was beaming with confidence from the preparation I had. Sam is extremely flexible and really actually cares that you are ready to sit your test, he will not push you to book your test until he thinks you're ready to. I have made a great friend and I would recommend anyone looking to pass their test with flying colours get in touch with Wells!
