After on and off driving for years with different instructors, I came to Simon as a nervous driver, with no confidence, thinking it would take years of practice and multiple fails. Fantastic experience: Having been with a few instructors before and it’s easy for me say that Simon is a cut above the rest. Fantastic experience: Simon is a first rate driving instructor, from the beginning of our lessons together he was reassuring and gave me confidence to drive on lessons without ever feeling nervous. He is patient and has a wealth of knowledge about driving and the road. I always knew I would struggle with driving before I started lessons with Simon, as I had had a few lessons in a previous city in the past. But Simon has enabled me to pass my test which is something I honestly thought might not happen for me. He prepared me from top to bottom rigorously for my test and reassured me when I was apprehensive. I also feel Simon didn’t only prepare me for test but has facilitated me to be a knowledgeable, confident and comfortable driver for life. If you want to pass your test I cannot advocate Simon enough - he is truly the best in the field.

Fantastic experience: Simon is hands down the best driving instructor in Barnsley! He makes you feel comfortable and at ease. With in such a short period of time and only a few lessons Simon helped me pass first time. He makes you aware of any faults you need to touch up on and will always go over and over it again until you feel confident in doing them! I will never forgot the “POM” routine as it’s now a song in my head! Thank you once again for helping me pass first time, the only thing I regret is not finding you sooner! If you need a driving instructor there’s only one person to call. ^^^^

Fantastic experience: Would definitely recommend Simon to anyone. I’d started off learning manual with a different instructor but realised it was difficult for me so I swapped to auto and started learning with Simon. He was very patient and helpful to me and I’d recommend him to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I've come to Simon with only limited UK driving experience and had limited time during the weekdays (because of my work as a doctor). but Simon had methodical teaching, a fantastic attitude, a reliable car and excellent knowledge of Barnsley roads. So, with his help, I passed my FIRST attempt in automatic. Highly RECOMMENDED for anyone wanting to pass their test in Barnsley.

Fantastic experience: Simon is the most professional enthusiastic and knowledgeable driver instructor and he is the best. I regret I didn’t know about him before when I failed my first test. His lessons simulate the real driving test and with such an experienced person we feel what ever expense we do for the driving class does not go waste. He makes sure he utilises every minute fruitfully and does not waste your time and money. I would highly recommend him for the learner drivers out there. He makes sure you go through the route repeatedly if you make a particular mistake and you don’t repeat it again. His voice echoed through my mind when I did my driving test.

Fantastic experience: Highly Recommended. Simon is a lovely person he keeps the lessons fun and laid back but still making sure your understanding what you have to do. Even though I was stressed for my driving test he managed to help me pass with no faults! if that doesn't say how good of a driving instructor he is then I don't know what would. If you also love dad jokes you will get on great with him or bake then he will want all the baked goods.

Fantastic experience: A message from my husband, Today my wife passed her driving test, first time. She is from Tunis, English is not her first language (actually, it’s her 3rd language after Tunisian & French). She also passed her Theory Test first time. 8-weeks ago my wife did not know she needed a Provisional Driving Licence to drive on the roads in the UK. We were put in touch with Simon from a recommendation. Simon gave us guidance on what we needed to do & when. With my wife due to give birth in 2-weeks time, Simon has taken my wife through an intensive course in an incredibly short time, she passed her Theory, & today her Driving Test. Fantastic experience: I could seriously not recommend Simon enough. I couldn’t have wished for a better teacher when it came to my driving, he taught me so much in the 5 months I spent with him and I genuinely believe I wouldn’t have passed without him. He constantly reassured me when I didn’t believe in myself and felt anxious and always knew how to cheer me up when I had a tantrum. Fantastic experience: What can I say, wish I'd found Simon first time I started driving lesson. He's Reliable and goes out of his way to get you through your test. Even came off his Xmas break to take me to my first test. I'm the first to admit I'm hard work. I'm 62, hard of hearing, but Simon Persevered with me, where others wouldn't. I have other health issues. I'm also Extremely clinically vulnerable so he became part of my bubble when I felt it was safe for me to do so. Looked forward to my driving lesson not only for my lesson but a break from Isolation. Simon got me to my goal to independence and freedom. He's more than value for money, and would definitely recommend him first choice Instructor . Many thanks Simon and best wishes for the future.

Fantastic experience: Simon Ball driving school is by far the best in Barnsley! He teaches both manual and automatic and is a fab teacher. I started with Simon in September 2021 after previously having around 25 hours experience but won't lie, I was a terrible driver. He gave me the biggest confidence boost and enabled me to learn in my own way, he's always friendly and open for a good chat both in lesson and out if you have any questions (the days leading up to my test I hounded him and he was nothing but supportive!), the support and advice he's given me for on the roads is fantastic and thanks to Simon, I passed first time with only 2 driver faults (manual), since passing he's been a fantastic help for any post passing situations and I genuinely miss my lessons with him. Absolutely amazing value of money for lessons and I felt more and more confident as my test got closer. He puts you in a positive mindset and I really believe that passing was all down to Simon and his driving methods. If you are looking to pass your test in Barnsley, please go with Simon, super grateful to have met him. Thanks for putting up with me and being a great support, you've been fab!
