Fantastic experience: Julie C was the best driving instructer everrr!! As a very nervous driver from day 1, she made me feel very comfortable and confident in myself and ability to drive! Very patient and goes at your own pace, practicing routes and anything you wish to follow up on!! Never had any issues and am really grateful to have been taught by an amazing instructor! Passed with one minor on my first test!

Fantastic experience: I have just passed my test first time with 0 minors. I highly recommend Julia’s School Of Motoring and Lorianne who is an incredible, patient, professional, knowledgeable and dedicated driving instructor. Lorianne always listened and answered all of my questions thoughtfully and thoroughly. Lori always took the time during lessons to consistently go over any areas that I wasnt as confident in to help me improve my driving performance and skills. I had my full trust in Lori and took her brilliant advice which gave me a perfect result. I couldn’t be more grateful and thankful. Only sad part is we wont have weekly cat chat catchups. Fantastic experience: I really would recommend this company. The lady I had would treat me like a friend but professionally aswell. She would have a laugh with you to ensure your not stressed. She helped me pass 1st time in my test, even tho I was super nervous she would carm me down and tell me off for not trusting myself. Fantastic experience: I passed my test a couple of months ago with one minor ! I had Gini and I couldn’t have had a better experience she was amazing at building up my confidence and getting me ready for both real life and test situations, my lessons were in a lot of depth so I didn’t have any areas that I was unsure of when taking my test and anything I did feel unsure about was practiced the same lesson where I had expressed this every time! Would recommend to anyone looking for driving lessons as my experience was faultless!

Fantastic experience: I passed my driving test with Lorianne through julias school of motoring. I couldn't have asked for a better teacher and I'm sad we won't get to hang out anymore ! I learnt to drive over 20 years ago and failed twice and came back to it in my 40's. Lorianne was a great teacher, everything she taught me was so clear and finally made sense. She was incredibly patient when I didn't get things right and when life and stress sometimes made driving difficult for me. I would recommend her to anyone, and whoever gets to learn with her next is very lucky indeed, they are in very safe hands. Thank you so much lorianne and Julia

Fantastic experience: My son learnt to drive with Julia S. She is fantastic. I cannot praise her highly enough. She’s friendly, patient, calm and funny and also really knows how to teach driving skills. My son has additional needs and was learning with a different driving school for a year. He was going nowhere. We managed to swap to Julia and the difference was immediate and amazing. He actually looked forward to his lessons and learnt so quickly. And, importantly, really clicked with Julia S. He passed his test last Friday and the only down side is that he’ll no longer get to spend time with her! Thank you so very much. I highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Had lessons with Julia, a great instructor, really knows what she is doing and teaches you how to be a good driver not just pass your test. Also very friendly and helpful, good with calming my nerves especially going up to test day as I can get very nervous. Passed first time and had a very positive experience overall!

I’d not driven a car since the day I passed my test, well over 10 years ago, and within a few lessons she had me on the road and driving to Devon! Fantastic experience: I would 100% recommend Julias School of Motoring to anyone. I was taught by Lori, and because of her have passed my test first time. When I started learning I was so nervous and anxious, but Lori took the time and patience with me to boost my confidence, no matter how long it took me to get the hang of things. She is an amazing teacher who is so kind and helpful, she always goes the extra mile to help. I have nothing but good words to say about Lori and my learning experience with her and Julias School. Fantastic experience: Highly recommend. I had Debbie as my instructor and I passed first time with only one minor. She is kind and has lots a patience she’s great!

Negative experience: Absolutely awful!! Had many lessons with Julia (regretfully), she would frequently compare me negatively to her other students, raise her voice at me when I asked for reassurance although she could see I was anxious. Lacks empathy, encouraged me many times to get as many lessons in for my test, but on multiple occasions told me to suddenly swap or push back my test, which would be fully understandable if she wasn’t telling me I’d be ready before hand numerous times. It got way too much so after confronting the issue that I felt I couldn’t progress with her as an instructor due to her being rude and impatient, she said Claire may be able to take me (another woman in the company) who in her own words ‘isn’t the best but will make you laugh’ (shocking way to talk about your own staff that you recruited), and that I wouldn’t be any good with any male instructor and that anyone else would have told me to drive an automatic. Because of this my confidence driving suffered MASSIVELY. I remember one incident when I was on a roundabout and wanted to clarify what exit we were leaving at, she started raising her voice and wouldn’t even answer the question saying ‘you know this I just told you any of my other students could do this by now’ etc etc, making me tear up on numerous occasions. Thank god I went to Claire (who soon after left the company) because she built my confidence up so so much and was really calm and understanding and patient. Thanks to her I passed with two minors.

Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend JSM, passed my test last week and I'm over the moon! I had Lori as an instructor and she is a very friendly and genuine person. I had a few lessons as a teenager, and returned to it 20 years later a nervous wreck! She made me feel comfortable through all of my lessons and really went the extra mile to build my confidence prior to test day. I would recommend Lori to anybody that wants to do their driving lessons!

Fantastic experience: Julia Saxton is the perfect balance between a very professional person and charming personality. When you're taking a big decision, like deciding to learn driving, you want an instructor who will be patient, knowledgeble, dedicated, professional and a good listener, so I was lucky to meet Julia from Julias School of Motoring... She met my expectations. I have worked with her throughout the whole process until Wednesday when I managed to pass my driving test. She was the best coach that I could have ever wished for, she went above and beyond to make sure that I am gaining all confidence and knowledge to become a safe and good driver. Fantastic experience: Passed today, with only 2 minors, first try. I couldn’t have done it without Vicky, my lovely instructor. Very patient and good judge of characters, always a step ahead of me and always ready to guide me. A bit of tough love made the difference in the end!!!

Negative experience: For over a year every week I took a driving lesson, I was sprayed a relaxant in my mouth before I could say no to it, I was told I was autistic and I’m not as I was compared to her daughter and failed my test 3 times, the test centre informed me I hadn’t been taught enough.

Fantastic experience: So happy to say that I have just passed my driving test first time! After it being cancelled 3 times due to COVID it’s such a relief to finally pass. So thankful to Lorianne for being such a good instructor and for always being so patient with me and telling me to believe in myself! I had no driving experience before coming to Julia’s so I was really starting from scratch and quite nervous about being out on the road. Lorianne was always happy to go over anything with me to help me feel more confident even right before my test started. Would highly recommend Lorianne and my experience with Julia’s to anyone!

Negative experience: Does not prepare you for exam, just try to make you feel comfortable and at ease. They meter feedback so that you have to take out more lessons with them than otherwise you need to.

Fantastic experience: I cannot praise Julia enough my son has passed first time - Julia has expertly built his skills and confidence- always helpful and communicating with me- if needed. He found her to be very kind and lessons fun and teaching style just right.

Fantastic experience: A wonderful driving school. I had Louise as my instructor. I'm a little older than most of their students but it was nice to be called "young man" again :) They have nice, new cars and a relaxed but very professional approach to teaching. I highly recommend Julias School of Motoring to anyone who wants to learn to drive. Now I just need to decide what car to buy...

Fantastic experience: I had a previous instructor who I had failed 4 tests with, so I decided to change instructor to Julia. With her help I managed to pass on my first test with her, and her guidance has really helped improve road safety and driving skills. Would recommend!

Fantastic experience: I had not driven since I passed my test over 20 years ago because I suffered from extreme nervousness and lack of confidence. This year, I decided to have driving lessons with Julia, and what a great decision that turned out to be. Julia’s calm and patient manner helped me regain the driving skills I had forgotten as well as learn many new things. She helped me re-build my self-confidence to the point that, as I now approach 60 years of age, I am driving my own car for the first time and have achieved a real sense of independence because of this. I cannot recommend her enough. She is a lovely lady and a real gem of a driving instructor.

Fantastic experience: I have just recently done something I thought I would never do, pass my driving test. Struggling to learn with previous driving schools I had lost all confidence but coming to Julia's school of motoring I gained the confidence and skills needed to pass. I would highly recommend Julia as she is an instructor that cares about her pupils while delivering a high quality of teaching.

Fantastic experience: Julia helped my daughter pass her driving test after many hours of lessons with another local company & 4 failed attempts at her driving test. After just a couple of double lessons with Julia, Holly was test ready and passed. Julia's School of Motoring also did the same for her friend April Degen, who passed her driving test with Julia's instructor, Claire. Very highly recommended driving school, with very friendly, female instructors.
