Fantastic experience: I am pleased to recommend Aspiration Driving School to anyone! I’ve just completed training with John, the most knowledgeable and experienced instructor. It was the second driving school I had come across in my journey of learning how to drive, and from the first lesson, I felt that Aspiration Driving School was much more professional and had way more expert knowledge for me to learn in my future lessons - choosing them as my driving instructors was a great decision.

A patient teacher, he was able to cater lessons to my particular learning style as well as address certain weaknesses. Fantastic experience: Excellent driving instructor! Stuart Burn is an absolute godsend- had a refresher lesson and he made me feel calm, safe, and competent again behind the wheel! Makes sure to only correct you after you've made the mistake, and allows you to work it out for yourself to learn for next time! Never shouts or gets frustrated- is completely calm and so kind! Couldn't recommend him more! Owner John is lovely, speedy, and professional, was in excellent hands with this company!

Fantastic experience: Cheers to John for getting me through my B+E Car and Trailer at the first time of asking with only 1 driver fault. I passed my driving test 17 years ago so there were a few nasty habits to unravel to ensure I was ready for the test in addition to the trailer specific stuff. John is personable and knowledgeable but he’s also ready to challenge you to get you up to standard (needed for this particular student ). I didn’t have lots of time ahead of my test date so the flexibility in ensuring we covered all the elements was greatly appreciated. Our first family caravan trip is now in the diary. Thanks again. Fantastic experience: After passing my test in 1997 I have had to complete my towing test after buying a heavier caravan. I’m so pleased that I picked John Dixon to help me through my test, he is very patient and good humoured and puts you at easy quickly. I passed my test today after 7.5 hours of training first time which is a testament to Johns training, I would highly recommend John and aspiration driving school to anyone in the same position. John is a top bloke very professional and he even bought me a coffee before my test thanks very much John I appreciate all you have done

Fantastic experience: Being an experienced driver (20 years) and having years of towing experience I thought I could just go in and do test. Didn’t like the thought of £500 for intensive course and test. (I know how to do this) Saw advert on here for £180 for vehicle hire and test use. 5 hours, looked good went for it. (Just to make sure I was doing things correct). Met a guy called John, initial thought was firm bit harsh. How wrong I was, after 1.5 hours in car with him I went from 95% positive to passing test to 50/50. It’s scary how many faults you have, John’s experience is invaluable he genuinely cares if his student pass or not. I even doubted myself this morning as I went for test, thinking I should have had more practice. John’s teaching technique helped immensely, as I was doing test I could hear his voice, mirrors blind spot etc. He managed to cram a lot of information and training into very limited time. Advice to anyone is training is vital, your very unlikely to pass without no matter how good you think you are. There is a standard to drive to and examiners scrutinise this. I left training till last minute (fully booked and wanted test before end of July) so rushed, but pleased to say I passed with 6 minors. Without training I know I would not have passed. The look on my kids faces when I returned home to say we can now legally take caravan away was priceless.

Negative experience: Rang number to enquire bout lessons was told by a nice lady I would be given a call back by John to arrange what I would like.been waiting for almost a week still no contact from them!!got sorted with lessons from another company.

Negative experience: AVOID. Never turned up for first lesson. No text no call for why he never turned up waste of time. Very unprofessional.

Negative experience: This bloke needs to learn to drive himself before he starts teaching anyone else. A while ago I was about to cross the zebra crossing on the slip road off the coast road near Embleton Ave and he comes flying down with no intention whatsoever of stopping. I expect this from the other numerous idiots on the road but would expect better from a driving instructor. If you want to learn how to reverse park whilst on a mobile phone, he's probably your man though.
