Super accommodating with life (as a mum with a 3 year old this is valuable), great at understanding how my brain works (Dyslexia and possible other neurological issues) to help me unlock the best way to learn techniques and has helped me to enjoy being behind the wheel. I passed first time with 2 minors. Thank you so much for your patience, laughs and encouragement!

Negative experience: Unprofessional company, who nearly caused a crash on a round a bout (clearly the driver was not ready to go on such busy roads) and threatened legal action.

Fantastic experience: Andy was amazing with my daughter, she has autism and really struggles meeting new people, but andy was so good with her . i had to go with her on first couple of lessons but after that she felt comfortable to go on her own , he even knew how to calm her down if she was having one of her moments. highly recommend andy . my daughter also passed first time .

Fantastic experience: I started lessons with Lisa after an old driving instructor made me to anxious to drive. She has been patient, kind and taught me so much knowledge about driving. She teaches u how to drive so that you will be able to drive once you pass. I honestly could not recommend her and her company enough

Fantastic experience: I had been taking 1 lesson a week with Lisa for 11months, Lisa is a fantastic instructor and very professional and tells you exactly what you need to know and do. She is very patient and will pick you up on things you do wrong to ensure you correct them, Lisa will not take you to test unless she thinks your 100% ready. I'm so glad I had Lisa as my instructor as i was given the knowledge and confidence to help me. I went to test and PASSED first time I will miss my Monday lesson and little chats thank you so much

Fantastic experience: I honestly can not recommend Lisa at PDS enough. I explained that I was an older, anxious learner driver and hadn't driven for years and we arranged a lesson to see how I found the car and if we clicked, as I needed someone who would be able to ground me when my anxiety crept in. Lisa was fantastic. Everything was explained clearly, she's friendly and chatty which put me right at ease in every lesson. I love that Lisa does mock tests as well which allows you to identify strengths and weaknesses and she tailors your lesson to suit those ares where improvement is needed. I can not fault her. Always on time, never cancelled/rearranged. I am going to miss our weekly drives and catch ups. Thank you so much Lisa for giving me the tools and the confidence to be successful in passing my test.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Andy enough. He has been the instructor of choice through the generations of our relatives growing up and now it was my sons turn. My son felt comfortable with Andy, who communicated well whilst booking lessons with me and Liam, and throughout the whole process. He has remained calm, and professional, but has the ability to give a push when needed without it coming across as negative. Liam enjoyed the banter and respected Andy being honest with him. We did block bookings and then when a few extras were needed Andy offered these at the same rate as if it were another block. My son has passed thanks to Andy who has offered advice and suggestions all the way through. See you in 2 years for my other son.

Fantastic experience: Such an absolutely amazing experience, the instructor is well versed in understanding where the main struggles of learning to drive are and how to correct them in a constructive and helpful way. I would highly recommend if you need a comfortable and safe environment to learn in, while progressing at a good rate towards a driving test.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic experience learning to drive with Lisa at PDS. As a “mature student”, learning to drive was something I had put off for a long time but Lisa made the whole process from first lesson to passing a real pleasure. It was genuinely a great experience I will always remember thanks to a wonderful instructor, the only drawback of passing my test is that I miss our lessons! My advice as a new driver having just completed the test is: Perhaps you feel that driving isn’t for you, or you feel unsure or uneasy about learning, Lisa always gave me fantastic tuition and when you make a mistake (and relax, you will! that’s part of learning!) the advice is always constructive and helpful. You will find over time that your confidence grows, and that is a huge part of driving. Everyone learns differently so don’t give up! Most importantly listen to the advice, be open to it, the experience can be rewarding. For your theory test use the app and whatever resources you can, don’t think it is something that is easy or to be overlooked, I felt confident going in to it and still had to take my time, think, read the questions twice and recheck your answers twice before committing. Use all the time they give you, don’t rush! For the practical test even the coolest head will feel some nerves, i did! it is natural and the examiners understand that. Just take your time and don’t preempt the outcome, drive with the proper care and attention until the test is finished, don’t get over confident and if you make a mistake dont over analyse it. Instructors and examiners see mistakes a lot and how you cope and deal with them is important too. Good luck!

Fantastic experience: Had my lessons with Lisa and honestly can’t imagine having a better instructor, she was so professional and informative, we’d have a right old chit chat during lessons and just felt so at ease even when making mistakes. Passed first time with her, would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I loved learning to drive with Lisa; I had tried other instructors before and hated my experience but Lisa made me feel at ease and not like lessons at all. I was more than prepared for my test and I passed first time. I would 110% recommend this driving school, especially Lisa, if you are nervous and need a friendly face to help you learn!

Fantastic experience: I have been having manual driving lessons with Andy since July 2020 and despite being through many stressful lockdowns he has been extremely professional and was giving persistent updates with good communication throughout. Andy can definitely vouch for me when I say that I was a nervous wreck on my first lesson however he very quickly made me confident and comfortable on the road. Very easy to talk to and anyone would get along with him easily. I have passed my test today and I would not have been able to do it without Andy. Great instructor, would highly recommend to anybody!

Fantastic experience: What an amazing Instructor Lisa is! I started lessons with her in 2020 just before Lockdown. She kept me up to date on a regular basis throughout all the lockdowns. I had my driving test last week and passed first time with Lisa! She makes you feel very confident and comfortable around her. Highly recommend this company to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Two down one to go!! Two of my children have now passed with flying colours under the instruction of Pete. Both of them have commented on how calming and professional he is with clear and precise tuition. It will be a couple of years until the next one need driving lessons, however I know I don’t need to look any further than PDS and Pete. As a parent I have/had complete confidence that they are in good hands.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn to drive. My experience with Andy as my instructor was positively brilliant. If i ever needed help with a Manoeuvre that i was struggling with he was more than happy to help and break things down in a text or call even throughout lockdown. I wouldnt of been able to pass my test first time without him.

Fantastic experience: I started learning with Andy in June 2020 and had a 2hr lesson once a week. Andy was an excellent teacher and not only that but he made me feel very comfortable and at ease while in the car. I passed 1st time in November 2020 after an all round amazing experience. I’ve now been driving nearly 5 months and I can’t thank Andy and Poole Driving School enough for the experience I had and making me a safe driver on the roads.
